- I didn't get many runs recorded since the mount on our Sony HandyCam broke but my dad's little point and shoot Canon Powershot did a great job of capturing the action.

Awesome footage! Looks like a lot of fun!
RIP to the legend behind this amazing machine: Carroll Shelby
I must have seen this video and watched it over 30-40 times over the years since 2008! It pops up on my CZcams feed here and there and I always watch it! One of my all time favorites
Same 😃
Just watching it for the first time 👍🏼
and here i am again , in November 2022. wonder when the next time will be haha
Damn that mustang sounds soo good👍
Well since you've watched this Ford so much now why don't you watch" The Big Red One'"☝️
I use to have a 66 GT back in 73 , I was living on the end of a dead end street, one night my Dad came to the gas station where i was working , he said dont go home tonight, there is a Radar trap in our driveway !!!
This so what I want to do. The classic car racing. Great video
Absolutely dominating big dawg. Hit ya gaming chair with some febreze.
Great driving!!...car sounds awesome and looks like it handles well. you don't seem to fight it that much.
The sounds of the car ...The shifts into a turn ..pedal down in a straight ,awesome!!
.
“Nicely done” indeed!! Holy crap, that’s some driving, right there!!
this is awesome footage. my car ran in 1981 and came in 2nd in class (4:43.95). i never new what this climb was all about, and this is the first video I have seen of it, but I am thinking of taking her back and doing it again after seeing this video. spectacular. many thanks
Absolutely awesome.
Thanks for sharing, goat love these old GT Shelby's
Shelbys*
thanks for posting,love that sound
that.... was.... awesome Man !!!!!!!
I have a 66 GT350 my dad bought new when he worked for Ford in his twenties. I wouldnt dare think of driving it like that up some mountain on desert highway ......Not with my Dad knowing I did anyway. Im 50 and Dads in his 70s and still acts like I am 16 and just got the Shelby for my birthday yesterday. Ive owned the car for 21 years and havent so much as put a ding on it anywhere. But if you were to ask him I am sure he would say Ive ruined hs " Baby " . Love you Pop, No you cat have it back !
Nicely done, indeed! I always love the audio in your VCHC videos.
A 🔥 my shorts well done. Shelby...
Gives me sweaty palms just watching!
Music to my ears...
I love that noise...
I did this hill climb once in my beetle.
I was a beautiful day when i graduated high school and my uncle gave me my present: a 1966 sapphire blue gt 350. It had been in his garage for years, and he decided to pass it on to me. with gas at 3:80 a gallon and the hi-po engines MPG at a whopping 13 mpg.... It does not get taken out enough. fuck it, im taking her out tonight. Thanks for the video!!!

If Ur Looking for Better Gas Mlg.,Consider a Tremec 5spd.
That's surprisingly poor fuel economy if it is original equipment. My '65 AC Cobra (same engine as GT350) got 21 mpg driving from MI to MD. (about 950 mi) On my GT350H, I replaced the original Ford carb with a Holley and immediately improved both mpg and performance. If you still have the car you may have already figured out this stuff yourself.
that's a nice fantasy
Beautifully smooth, running it great
Great run!!!! GT350 all the way baby!!!
Nice driving; nice video, beautiful car
Gorgeous noise!!!! Well driven.
At 2:10 i had a heart attack. I was thinking about bringing my duster to the hillclimb until then
Nice car,nice driving,bravo!!!
The drive so awesome
Shelby autographed a lot of cars.
Fantastic climb!
All I can say is wow!!
Great sound.
Well done.....
Wow, just like Bathurst. I don't know anything about race cars and driving fast, but FMD that looked impressive, especially in that toy.
very nice mate.
A Clear road ahead go for it!!
Great driving, really good lines and nice heal tow action :-)
this is better than a video game
Good Drive !
Legendarny filmik :)
Not gonna lie. Fantastic technique!
What a machin wow mustang 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥
Nice sound...
2:06 accelerating on the edge, madness
nicely done indeed.
I’ve driven that road hundreds of times since I was 16, I used to race my 73 super beetle 🪲 up and down it, I really enjoy driving my 2002 BMW m3 6speed manual up it, I have never officially entered the hill climb, but I’ve driven countless different vehicles up it, I’m inching closer to finishing my 65 mustang project build and I’m eager to stretch her legs on it, though the m3 is gonna be a pretty tough contender to best, they have some really exotic cars that enter that event, what was your time if you don’t mind sharing?
LOVE THOSE OLD SHELBY 350'S LOOKED like a pretty good race up the hill,, just wondering if you had more than enough horsepower?
Verry good Driver!
Nice, very nice! Sounds amazing.
Awesome 🐎💪🚗🔧🇺🇲💯👍
No room for error!
What kinda of suspension setup is on the I got a 66fb that I want to upgrade on
Sick
That Side Pipe Exhaust Really Makes it Sound Like More than 306 h.p.Sounds More Like a Stroked 306 or 331ci.LolThink I believe Reading Somewhere that the R Racing Ones Were Stroked to 331ci.
Oh.. The.. Fun!
thats some good driven hammer down
Great! Like in TDU :)
What gears are you running ?
Nice car. Two questions: 1) is it genuine? and 2) what transmission you running?
Smooth on the wheel! Fucking great! 👏
Some truly incredible footage! Would you mind if I use a clip of this in my GT500 review?
Thanks! Go for it.
Cool
That sound...
the whole video i was like: Dont crash it! Dont crash it !! WATCH OUT !!! DONT CRASH IT !! ...
hummena hummena hummena :D
Kind of reminds me of my drive home!
Legends watch this in 144p
This is the sound every man should hear when the divorce to the behemoth is final
Not noise music!

Оу 2021
Same.....he did a decent job but the whole time i'm "down shift....no? ok loose that power...fine.....ok more gas.....no? ok fine"
@wikileaksmedia
that's why you'd get a '66 :D
hard time following the line
the whole video i was like: you can put more gas down there, and there...and there
I’ve lost control on that road and spun out putting just a hair too much into it, it really tests the limits of your cars handling and what you don’t see in the video is the shear 1000ft + drop offs that aren’t something you will be walking away from even if you stick the landing, also it appears to be the front passengers vehicle since he asked him if the steering wheel was connected so I’m sure he was using a fair amount of caution, it’s not a very forgiving road when you make a mistake and sometimes a few hundred rpms mean the difference between making a turn and breaking the rear tires loose, which could be a mortal mistake so I think the driver did exceptionally well feathering the throttle in and out of the turns.
YOU CAN SERIOUSLY DRIVE!!!
Low quality picture, high quality sound. Mozart couldn't make that music ...
This thing handles like my truck, from one lane to the other. Except mine does it at 20 miles an hour.
Virginia City Nevada? If that is right, man Virginia City has a bunch of curvy roads on high elevation.
yay 240p
Crazy Americans :)
Just to think. Carroll Shelby didn't want anything to do with working on a Mustang. Lee iacocca said "You have to, Henry Ford II wants this a he pays the bills"
Shelby American develop the
1965 GT 350 with a budget of $1500 dollars givin to them by Ford.
1965 money went a longer way than today.
lmao, is this a girl??? hahaha look at those hairy ass arms, and yea serious driving skills, gotta love standard transmission, so fun!
Is this a girl driving? and what's up with wearing golf gloves?
'Golf gloves'? You're obviously a kid. Back in the day of real sports cars, gentlemen wore proper string-back driving gloves (look closely at about 0:09). Leather on the palm side, crocheted on the back (hence the name string-back). They often wore ascot ties as well, but unfortunately now there is a certain, ahem, affectation associated with wearing one. Find the Bill Cosby album "200 M.P.H." and listen to side 2 where he talks about his custom twin-supercharged Cobra, and his 'driving outfit'. Hilarious!
Pitman arm is too long.
You would think they’d know that 😂. It’s definitely not adjusted correctly at the minimum.
