Grammy museum should get in touch with the NPR tiny desk sound engineers to find out what mics they are using for quality sake. i know its Sennheisers but i don't know the model.
The room that you are in puts a lot of limitations on how you can record. There is no amplification at the tiny desk concert. So they can use mics that catch a ton of stuff. If you used those mics with those settings in this room it would feed back and sound terrible because they are also amplifying the sound for all the people in the room. There would be a ton of feedback.
