I would also love this kind of breakdown/review of the Indian scout bobber. great vid dan
Yup love my scout, really quick cruiser it surprises everyone that has never ridden one
Me tooo!!!
Just make sure it's got the mini apes!!! Despite being a bobber the Scout 1200 bobber is none of the most comfortable bikes available.
I have the chief bobber, and bobified it further. Can't recommend it enough.
The Scout Bobber is a very fast and well handling motorcycle.....but, it's not a real Bobber.
Did 200 miles on my ‘98 Magna today I thank you everyday for convincing me to buy one
Please do more moto vlogs. The community is dead, there’s only a few left, and you are the OG man.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It kills me. The only hold out is shade tree and jake. And blockhead sometimes
Christopher walken impression is spot on
Don’t lie 😂
Stoked you of all did this review. Huge fan of your magna so your perspective is appreciated and you.
🍻
A few things to note about this particular bike:
It's straight piped, looks like an x-pipe and British Customs shotgun slip-on. I believe that slip-on does actually have a bit of muffling, which is why it doesn't sound like absolute ass.
The stock bars and seat are WAY better than the aftermarket parts on this one, which you touched on. There are good aftermarket (not to mention factory accessory) bars and seats, but the stock setup is actually pretty great.
The stock bar-end mirrors are excellent, whoever put that mirror on there made a oopsie
Those are aftermarket foot controls, the stock ones are mid controls and suit the look of the bike pretty nicely. You can get aftermarket foot pegs that look more classic or sporty or whatever you want, and Triumph has a factory forward control accessory.
There are a number of other aftermarket parts on there, like an airbox delete and a tail tidy that make it more "custom bobber" feeling. I like these mods, but they're not for everyone.
People underestimate these bikes because the Bonneville seems like such a tame and gentlemanly bike, but they rip when you lean on them, and they sound great when you open them up with a more free flowing exhaust setup.
You noted that it has a lot of electronics, which I agree with. If I had my way, Triumph would make a "dumb" model with carbs and no rider aids or anything (maybe except ABS cuz laws or whatever) to make it feel like a more classic motorcycle experience, but unfortunately, that's just not what sells these days.
The great thing about this platform is that there are so many things you can do to it to make it exactly what you want, like the previous owner obviously did. There's never going to be an aftermarket like there is for the Sportster, but there's definitely more out there than anyone who owns one of these is likely to have the money for.
DIWD motorcycle reviews lets fucking go.
Those end credit bloopers were killing me 🤣
I can't stop looking at the hair man 😂😂 eyes on the bike! Oh oh there's his big ass head again shiiiittttttt😂
yeah, the Jesse Pinkman cut ain't it. That's for sure.🤣
It's absolutely insane that you made this video after I literally JUST bought my triumph. I LOVE my bike.
Mr.Dan Just want to say thanks for getting my into motorcycles got my first bike last week and take my msf class in 3.
2016 Shadow 750 Ive already put 300 miles on it! I'm addicted
Dan you kill these style of videos!!
The thorten one hundred bobber builds are insane
These are sick bikes out of the box.
They need an exhaust as stock exhaust is too quiet
Dan, you should totally make a video of just you doing bloopers, I love your videos regardless. The bloopers are absolutely hilarious though.
Dude this thing has so much character/charisma it's CRAZY. I was not expecting that since others like the Indian Scout Bobber (which I like still), or Harley Lowrider/Street Bob have that "factory feel/blandness" that you talked about. I really like this thing AND THAT DECEL SOUND IS NASSTTTYYY OMFG 😍
That thing is freaking sick dude!
12:18 dan reps every direction 😂😂
It shifts like a bolt action rifle. I’m dead ! 😂
As someone from another country this might be the closeset I'll ever get to a real bobber, thank you so much for the review my man, I need it now
I used to own this bike! Sold it about a month ago. I miss it. You should have mentioned all the upgrades or modifications that were made to this bike, levers, turn signals, fenders, chain to belt conversion … you will not find another bike quite like this one!
It's been a minute since I've watched one of your vids but that was super fun. That Triumph sounded SICK
Glad your back to doing bike reviews always a entertainment when dan post!!! Lobe ya dude
My dream bike. Got a VFR for my first bike ( which i do love) but the bonny bobber just looks and sounds amazing. Saving up for this gorgeous beast.
Hey Dan, interesting format. I would love to see you build more on the style in the beginning. Maybe mix the stationary elements of the video and complementing it with the riding content.
That damn bike sounds amazing!
I've literally been looking at these the last week and bam you make a vid
I could just see this with low bars, or even clipons, a cafe bobber.. However, as a factory bobber, there's a mission other brothers out there with exactly the same bike. SO for me I'd also do custom paint. But that engine and exhaust, what a beauty! Just grabbing another gear, or engine braking on a steep downhill, snapping and crackling, snarling and woofling, just glorious!
Hey Dan! love seeing these kind of videos again! I had a 2018 bobber black with the BC racing pipes. Crazy loud, crazy quick (for how skinny she is), and genuinely fun. Sold it because oil started leaking through my wiring harness from the stator. Apparently common in bmw's too.
Edit: I don't kiss my son on the lips
Edit: #2 shoutout to your right turn single being on for like 5 minutes lmffaoo
Got a 2019 triumph bobber myself. Nice little bikes..Deceivingly quick an they sound really nice.
Thoroughly enjoyed the bloopers and your humor during them on this one lmao
I just looked at this bike at Wow Saturday. Now i am definitely interested in going back for it
Love that Jackson rides with you man😢
If it didn't have the hangers it'd be so sick lol
I'd like to point out you can hear it shift. Not just because of rpm, but the trans itself.
WOW motorcycles is a great place too. I just looked at this bike the other day. I e got a Bonnie but been wanting a bob for a while.
Ive always wanted to build a triumph bobber, just based on the sound alone. God damn does that bike sound good 😩
I'm still waiting for the day when he rides a done-up Dyna... Maybe something crazy like a Super Glide w/ a S&S 124ci with the "dyna bro" special consisting of a Saddleman step-up seat, T-Bars, and Memphis Shades Fairing. I bet he would have a blast.
I like this video a lot got to see another magna type of bike ,I like cruisers but honestly the sound of the bikes are a need as well cause it’s aesthetically pleasing 😊
WellP… I want one. You had me at terrifying!❤
🤣the end of this video had me crying we need a video of nothing but dan bloopers
A wow review series would be awesome🤙
The hair dosent actually look bad also love the review style video 🤙🏻
I love that you quoted sketch 😂😂
This was one of the best sounding bikes I’ve ever heard
You should hear them in person they sound amazing
Bish sounds good!
Love you Dan
dan's got me wanting a bike i most definitely can't afford
I’ve always loved bobbers never owned one but I’ve ridden a couple hundred miles on one in the uk
As an owner of this bike, I loved this review. Pure elation on open throttle - hell yeah brother! 😂 And yeah, first thing I did was get a Corbin seat. Has more hump in the back to cradle the buns.
Luxury Bobber it what it sounds like. The sound that comes from it is amazing.
I could not stop physically laughing at the end credits
Reminds me of my VTX1800. Biggest vtwin ever produced, 1795cc’s of autism backed with v&h big shots and it’s absolutely obnoxious and I love it.
So youve peaked my interest in buying a magna for my first bike and probably a forever bike... i just need to know is there a year i should look for or any years i should avoid? I see a bunch of magnas for sale i just have no idea how to make sure i get a good one lol love what youre doing with the channel Mr. Do it, sir. Keep it up👍
God i missed this type of content🤘🏼
You found a niche once again Dan. Do more reviews I will watch them.
You'd probably love the bobber black or one of the newer bobbers with the bigger front forks and brembo brakes. Awesome vid love your reviews 💯💯
Older ones are more desirable.
Love any and every video you make Dan imma suggest you try some dyna’s or any bike in general still sweet videos
@ 9:40 hey Dan, you mentioned the magna’s sound. How do you feel about the Yamaha Vmax sound? Since it’s a V4 as well. I love the sound of them with an open header
As a triumph owner, I kinda want one of these to go with my street triple
The sound of that bike is 12/10 - magna is a 14/10
Greatttt.... Now you made me want one. That or build the 1100 shadow into one lol. Just sucks because won't sound near as good
The end is peak Dan performance🤣🤣
My boy James, with the chicken rice bowl from Bojangalangs 💀😂
i’ve been eyeballing these things for a hot minute
Cool just ordered my new heat wave visuals used your coupon code
I own a Triumph Bobber, and I am intrigued by the belt drive conversion on the one you are riding in this video, do you have any information on that modification?
I gotta say, I’m watching this with headphones in the gym, and that thing sounds amazing.
They sound even better when your riding them I got 1 myself
The sketch reference😂
Homie "bobbed" that hair
Beautiful bike, great sound, good-looking. I'd rather try one of these with a flat bar.
I was LITERALLY reading a BROTHER BROTHER BROTHER comment reactions to a FB post. AT the EXACT time you started saying BROTHER! I'm dead, it's ok I was ran over before and lived. I can make those jokes. #certified professional survivor of shenanigans.
It’s truly amazing you don’t have more speeding tickets than you do 😂
You hit that 2nd 3rd gear and it’s like waaaaaaaaaa
I foresee if this makes its way to cali the oner being pulled over for sound/exhaust violations a lot
If you ever have a chance hop on a old triumph Bonneville I have three vintage triumphs and those bikes might not be that fast but they have a completely different life to them
i'm so happy we got another dan x wow motorcycle review 😭
Mildred! Nice music taste yo.
14:35 that mustang look familiar, then I remember that David (dude in blue) did a review on it talking about if the ecoboost deserver the hate it sometimes get.
its actully a bike id be interested in buying
Hey Dan! I'm just starting of getting a motorcycle and I'm looking at helmets. What helmet brands should I he looking at?
I would buy it
I want a old school triumph
More Magna please and thank you!
Free mustache rides from Dan
how come your perfect plasma website is not linked on your youtube home page ?
The factory bikes are a lot nicer to ride, more of a forward neutral position and is very similar to the magna. The bike you rode was massively different from a factory bike, the belt drive along with forward controls with the high bars and a weird seat fundamentally change the character of the bike.
have you checked out the yamaha bolt r-spec?????
You need to buy it dan😂
Hey Dan I don’t know if you will see this vid but I have been watching your channel since at least 2015 or 14 and you have gotten me into motorcycles quite a bit but I have yet to buy one. Could you do a video of recommended riding gear looking at a first bike right now it is a Yamaha MT 07 but I have no idea what riding gear to buy.
I'm 6'4" with a wingspan of 7'2". I lovvve a bobber with apes. This thing is heckin neat to me
Edit now I've seen the whole thing: i like it extra because you called it a boykissing triumph. Also video slaps my dude
My man can scratch his toes standing up
Sorry bro, the Triumph sounds better than the Magna! LOL
Definitely
bro, I put straight pipes on my vt1100 and she's so fucking obnoxious as well, pops and crackles after jetting, I got flames spitting out at night... goddamnit it's beautiful.
Dan I have a 2023 triumph bobber with Horton hundred exhaust. I live in Charlotte if you want to review it.
I absolutely love this bike and would own one for sure. However, part of the appeal of a "bobber" is that they're cheap, you buy a 20 year old bike and strip it to basics. In the UK I could have about 3/4 crappy old bobbers for the price of this modern bike, that unfortunately breaks the deal.
We want more bike reviews
just had to drop a comment to say how amazing this video was.
review the new triumph speed triple
Personally. I would ride it anywhere. Yeah if you need bagger stuff. This is not your bike. This is based on the vintage bobber. Wind in your face bugs in your teeth bobber. I like it.
Buy it.
Y'all see the house at 8:37. Holy fuck
