Two guides on how the most profitable method of doing planetary interaction (P2 to P4 chain).
Command Center Upgrades 4 Layout (for Nano-Factory, Organic Mortar Applicators, Sterile Conduits) is part 1.
Command Center Upgrades 5 Layout (all other P4) is part 2.

Thanks for watching!
Big thanks for this video. I had no idea what I was doing, apparently.
Great job explaining a complicated process
I have 10 characters fully trained. In pi. I just pile up the pi. I've never sold one unit.
I make @ 170 billion isk every month from making just 4 of the 8 p4 materials. who ever says pi isn't worth it, is either ignorant to the fact or is trolling, possibly just lazy and stupid. I am always willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
That's a lot of profit per month, but how many characters are you running and are those planets in null/WH?
You're also probably more time doing PI than actually playing the game, which will lead to burnout.
First of all, thanks for taking the time to make this, it was informative. But after running some math, unless I messed something up, it just doesn't seem worth the time and effort. Using the CCU 4 Layout Nano-Factory example on 5 planets, Jita prices at the moment of writing this, _and assuming 0% market and POCO tax_ , for one month of running: you need to buy and ship 14.62 Bil (1,946,880 m3) worth of materials, and you produce 15.83 Bil (1,440,000 m3) worth of Nano-Factories for a profit of 1.21 Bil (8.27%). With taxes, you're lucky to break even, and that's not even taking into account the time cost of hauling stuff from/to Jita and between 5 planets every single day, nor the possibility of getting ganked while doing it.
I just ran the calculations for the CCU 4 Nano-Factory example, so there might be other setups more worth doing, but for this one at least it seems like you'd be far better off (profit, time and risk-wise) just running a station trading alt and updating orders once a day.
NanoFactories took a dump recently, but are also having some problems due to Polytextile prices being manipulated.
Hey, i just got into PI and decided to mace the CCU 4 setup you got there. I did some calculations and it all looks super awesome. The only issue I am having is that for some reason 1 of my planets has a p3 factory that is on a different cycle than the rest and cause of that the p4 factory connected also runs on a different cycle. I can't seem to find anything wrong with the routing going to and from this factory. Do you have any idea how this is happening? The other planets with the same setup don't appear to have any problems.
Defo going to give this ago.
why does planet radius affect building space, especially when your putting the buildings the same distance on all planets?
9-2-19 now the new triglavian ships show up at pocos and be scanning and almost lost 5 pi trucks on low toons so I had to set 100k warp outs from pocos to see if them damn things are on poco, pain in the ass and even then they can still warp in on you and start attacking so far been dampened and neuted while shot if they scram your done
would it be too much hassle to make a setup with 5 planets ( i have CC IV) where I would produce P2 materials on 4 planets that would feed a 5th planet that produces P3->P4 (first setup from your video)?
Hello me again, sorry to bother but if l haven't misunderstood in the vid you say tht costed you more or less 100ml; was that for just one day production or more? Thnx in advance for the answer :)
that's to build 5 planets of factories. daily p2 input requirement is around 4-600m per character.
So do i route my products to my storage After there done? Or to my launchpad?
do Horde still owns POCOs in high sec? cause i only see Omega and Friends with their 15% POCO tax.😣
Is it possible to set factory planets up for much longer cycles, in the ballpark of 1-2 weeks? Or is it going to butcher the profits to the point where it's not even worth trying?
I think the most you can squeeze out of this setup would be about 4 days untouched. to do that you'd have to load up your storage facilities with the p2 inputs (leave a few hundred m3 for incoming p3), route the p2 from both the launch pads and storage to the p3 factories.
If i join to Horde, can i get 1% corp-tax near jita? :3 (Omega and friends corp)
Can I build this setup on any planet? Or is there something that makes Barren planets generally better for p2-p4 factory?
barren and temperate are the only planets that permit you doin p4
2020 and still hating the rotating buildings
I noticed you don't scan for materials to harvest. Am I missing something about this?
These are factory planets, they take already harvested P2's and build higher tier products with them.
@@Gyva02 got it thanks.
perimeter poco tax is 25% or 20% with the skill...not sure where he gets 10%
interesting setup. but may i note you are making a pass to a poco with only half your cargo full... seems inefficient to me. waste of space for ones time. this could be improved but im tired or something.
does this still work? and do you do this on all planets?
For the CC5 - why not just keep it at 1 SU instead of 3 - wouldt it manage ?
Yes it would manage. having the 3 enables you to dump p3 if you get a good price on it, and also identify routing errors easily if you're switching between p4s on a somewhat regular basis.
Thought so - althought reouting them back to LP should be sufiicient in all cases ? Since all produces loose m3 - Also have the market crashed lately I see prices dumping :-(
Yep market has been pretty nasty recently. on the up side, if you're buying P2 (that market is also crashing) you're still coming out ahead.
Hello, l have intentio to try it BUT doing the math l got these results for 6 p3 industries l need 30p2 per hour the cost of it at today Jita prices is 82ml 300k ore or less to wich you hae to add CC and taxes tht takes it up to abt 100mll as you said but wetwareware mainframe are bought @ 2380000 wich multiplied 36 (1 day productiion) makes a total of 85ml more or less ... is it my math wrong or it's no mre worthy to do it? l know it's might seem a weird q but my math truely sucks wich makes my q legit :D ty for the answer
Your math is wrong, all p4s are still profitable with a p2-> p4 setup.
Thanx l think l will just do it without doing the math first lol
Really all of them? I checked on Adam4eve www.adam4eve.eu/pi_rank.php and it tells me that not all the p2 to p4 chains are profitable right now, even with 6% customs ond 1%tax considering buying and selling from/to jita sell. Is the math of the calculator on their site wrong, or what is it?
Yep all of them. The big factor cutting into your profit there is buying p2 off Jita Sell. profits go up substantially when buying p2 via jita buy. Here's the breakdown of profits across the board at the stats you listed above (6% poco tax, 1% sales tax, 2.5% broker fee):

How it went?
about how much can one make on average from PI like this? using the CCU IV and then the CCU V layouts
I was making 1b profit a day with 8 characters, so 125m per character, or 25m profit per planet per day
1b profit a day with PI in highsec?
Are the low taxes for everyone or for PH members only?
i do my PI with an out of corp alt and my taxes are the same so i guess so
around 120m per character per day in profit if you have your own JF and POCO tax at 2%, or are using horde pocos in perimeter with Customs Code Expertise 5 (giving you total of 6% POCO tax [1% horde, 5% empire])
Can you make more than 125M ISK per character if you setup planets in null sec?
I did set up this for 3 characters so far. But the management of the bought t2 stuff kills me. For example: I have the daily products (t2) on jita and then i split them in stacks of 1440 because this is the daily need of every ingredient of my planets. So like 1440 biocells, 1440 cpu, 1440 nanites, 1440 plastics, 1440 clutures and 1440 transmitters for one planet recursive computing modules. The splitting of 6-9 different t2 products for 15 planets is getting on my nerves. Any suggestions how to optimze this? I am kind of new to the game, so am I missing something? I could build this up to 45 planets with my 3 accounts, but as of right now I am still considering not to ;-)
move your inventory window so the item you're splitting is directly under the window that pops up on split so you can click through it faster. Sort the list by largest stack to smallest stack.
wher do u have factory for p2 matirials?
You don't produce those. You import them.
I didnt get it =/
Wow, 6% tax rate in Perimeter. Nowadays it is like 20% tax (untrained) in all systems surrounding Jita. Not a place to be.
Love how the corp PH that's hired by Ichooseyou to destroy and push out smaller corp markets keeps pushing Ichooseyou which is now running up their tax % and continuing to destroy and push out competition in any area they can with the backing of PH to do their dirty work.
