I assume both the water and a liquid fuel are in the ex-steam loco tender just in front of the crane jib carry wagon. When steam is up it pumps its own fuel and water at the turn of a live steam valve to the pumps? The fuel for the boiler looks like an oil modification on the original coal feed hole.

Actually there are 3new bridges is in place to replace the old ones between Anuradhapura and Omanthai. This steam crane & two 30T lifting capacity Ransomes & Rapier steam cranes have rendered a yeoman service to Sri Lanka Railways since 1953....
