I really love this channel! You two have such a great dynamic. I get to enjoy both rediscovering songs from my past I'd almost forgotten about and witnessing somebody experiencing them for the first time, its quite beautiful and magical.
I doubt you will remember but I've commented on several of your last videos recently and have just subscribed which are 2 things I hardly ever have done in all of my many many years on CZcams so thank you I love you both!

George WolfKain Dude, I am so jealous that you get to share great music with someone who experiences music like she does. It's the way I've always heard music, and just knowing that there's another person, somewhere in the world, who hears it the same way, is a comfort I never thought I'd get in my life. Thanks for sharing this experience with me.

Awe, babyyy :*** I'm glad that I am not alone, too! Lol, I have had people tell me that I look and seem crazy! I have had people comment, asking me if I am emotionally "well" or of "sound mind." Basically, calling me crazy. I don't care what people think, really; I am, who I am. You are, who you are and that is beautiful :** (((hugs))) ♥

    • @zacherynicholascarter

Damn the gaslighters who mock those who feel so deeply. I think maybe they’re so mean because, deep down, they know they repress their emotions and, because that’s so painful and unhealthy, they have to dress up their emotional suppression as virtue while mocking those like us. In the end, I even feel for them. I hope some day they get some of what we’ve got, you know?
By the way, just sharing this from one metal loving emotional alien to another, the song “Bleak” by Opeth (not Otep, lol) is the first extreme metal song that made me weep. Maybe you will too. Take care ❤️

What a beautiful reaction really. I remember this song with a special love because, back in the day, my family and I lived on the countryside in Patagonia and we had no electricity and one day my father arrived with a generator and a stereo to absolutely blast this album and this was the first ever maiden song I heard and really the first piece of music I loved. I remember not knowing what I was hearing and being confused while in love. Really seeing you react like that reminded me of that day when I was 6 years old. And made me think of my life, feel proud of what I’ve achieved and how much I’ve fought to become a pilot always with maiden and Bruce accompanying me all along and you just have me crying like a little girl and I just needed to say thank you really, just thank you for making me feel like this.

The first album really does have a much more punk vibe. Di'Anno's vocal style is as responsible for that as Steve's writing. Running Free sticks in my mind as being the most divergent from the future sound, but those first two albums are still special. The first band I ever got into as an actual fan (like, learning the names and being interested in the band rather than just the music). One of the times after the show had finished they sat on edge of stage just drinking and chatting to me and a few of my friends just like a bunch of blokes talking in a pub. They asked if we enjoyed the show and where just right down earth and really nice blokes.Did I enjoy it, I had lumps all over my head from headbanging in the morning.

Love the manner in which you guys react to songs. This one in particular was fantastic... and hysterical. More Maiden is always a good thing. A classic like "Hallowed be Thy Name" or "Children of the Damned" I believe would be much enjoyed by Sistah. One of my personal favorites (both sonically and lyrically) is "Infinite Dreams" off of 7th Son. A nice change-up (and maybe something that even most fans may not have heard yet) is "paschendale". I don't know... such a great and talented band. I could think of 20 songs that I think you would have fun with, just off the top of my head. Anyway, rock on, guys.

I have similar reactions as Sistah to that dual guitar sound. I love it when bands do it right. Dave Murray and Aidrian Smith are a powerhouse duo (not to detract from Janick Gers' efforts and talent), just as Glen Tipton and K.K. Downing are for Judas Priest.

There have been 3 iterations of the airplane known as Ed Force One. All were commissioned from various airline companies and then reconfigured into combination cargo/passenger aircraft to carry crew and gear as well as stage equipment. The plane was piloted by Bruce (not Steve), who is a licensed airline pilot. So they don't OWN the aircraft. They basically lease different aircraft from different companies. A brilliant plan which enabled them to then tour countries that were previously logistically inaccessible. Theres a fantastic tour documentary on CZcams somewhere on the band as well but Wolf probably already knows that. If not, I highly recommend watching it. If you want a link, I'll be happy to provide it. Just let me know.

HalfLifeSistah - My first experience was at the age of 12 when I did see them play as a support for Kiss here in the Netherlands. That was life changing for me.
Nobody did bully me or did say wrong words. I was accepted the way I was. A young redheaded and somewhat chubby teen who was there to enjoy like a concert , like the rest of everybody there. It made me feel good.
And the show I did see, the songs I heard and how the crowd reacted to Iron Maiden, WOW, so good !!!
My mind was set at that moment. I became a Maiden addict.
In June I did see them for the 48the time at the Graspop Festival in Belgium. Still going strong afer all these years.
Me and my wife enjoy the concerts very, very much.
If you guy's have the time and if you would be in Europe some day, drop a mail and we would love to show you around and go to a concert or festival. With something nice to eat and drink of cource. :)
If you have time, react to Children of the Damned by Iron Maiden or Believe or Chance by Savatage.
      Cheers, Chris and Kwen

    There is only a few direct connections between albums ;
Charlotte The Harlot, which was a song from the first (eponymous) IM album (1980), had a sequel song on The Number Of The Beast (1982), called 22 Acacia Avenue. Charlotte The Harlot was re-recorded (along with Prowler) during the Seventh Son sessions (1987/1988) and was released as a B-side on one of the album's singles. For me, it was nice to have these two songs with Dickinson doing the vocals.
Also, on The Number Of The Beast, there was a song called The Prisoner (based on the TV show of the same name). Powerslave (1984) features a song connected to that concept called Back In The Village.
The Prisoner contains a lyric in the chorus which goes :
    ♫ I'm not a number, I'm a free man ♫
Meanwhile, Back In The Village echoes that line in the last line of the final verse :
    ♫ I don't have a number, I'm a name ♫
Those are the only conceptually-linked examples between albums I can recall. Beyond that, one could probably draw connections between songs from different albums based on strong similarities

As an East London guy I grew up a stone’s throw from the Ruskin Arms in Manor Park where Iron Maiden used to play fairly regularly. I used to hear them play through my bedroom window as a little kid. The weird thing was, years later, when I first got into metal music, I had an "Iron Maiden" LP that I was blasting away, and I was midway through the track "Transylvania" when I realised I had heard it before. I asked my dad about it, and he found it highly amusing and explained why… if you look on the back of the “Somewhere in Time" album you’ll see The Ruskin Arms on the back among all the other Easter eggs. The reaction was superb though, and it reminded me of the first time I heard "Revelations" and I actually stopped in the street when the lead guitar part kicked in I was so blown away by the energy and musicianship I was hearing. Anyway love the channel and will be subscribing. Cheers!
