    Look like you’re doing a good job with that and in a big machine but it’s late it goes through the field easier than them big heavy machines longer you run it the better you’ll get it faster good job nice looking machine I don’t owe you nothing

    This was very interesting. You answered a lot of curiosity I had about sprayers. I appreciate you and your videos. Hope you had a great 4th. See you later.

    Thanks for the Wilbur tour. That’s such a cool looking sprayer. So much better y’all can do your own now. You forgot to mention those big heavy sprayers come with a big heavy price tag. 😂

    Great video, always love seeing the older machinery at work and ably getting the job done just like a new one can. Keep them coming 😉

    so you add a wetting agent to be more effective coating the unwanted weeds. that has to cost a few dollars an
    acer. very nice sprayer does a great job. it has to be a challenge going to from place to place over large distance.
    so you spray just after planting to eliminate the growth of existing plants. good to see you using the proper
    P. P. E. to minimize exposure!

    Thanks for the Wilmar tour. I don't know of any in the East. It has a couple features our GVMs didn't . We like the Ravens. We had 440s and 700s. I always thought they were the most operator friendly controller made.

    Hey great video glad to see it in the field!!! I’ve been looking at those and really like how their set up but my question is a lot of times in the pictures on tractor house you’ll see them with the wheels laid in at the top is that because the bags are low on air pressure?????

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  Před měsícem +1

      Thank you!...yes the air bags up top deflate and cause them to lean in this one will do it if it sits awhile they straighten out and stand up properly once they air up I run 60 to 70 psi in them

  • @rogerhodges7656
    @rogerhodges7656 Před měsícem +1

    If you can get the wheel spacing as wide as possible, that might minimize some of the rocking.

    • @Budd56
      @Budd56 Před měsícem

      That should help, I would think.

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  Před měsícem

      Well that's another problem that I have to address there is a issue that has happened since we got the sprayer the spacing won't adjust we wanted to adjust it out to straddle 4 corn rows so I need to figure why they won't adjust I think it's a electrical problem

    Hey I cut my teeth on a Wilmar 765 those things are awesome the air ride like a dream in the spray pattern is amazing I just absolutely love them!!! No air though and we put a jd 3000 starfire on it we put anti-scuff Wheels on the end of our boom so that they would not dig in to the ground

    Nice sprayer. I have a 854 rogator and I’m on my 3rd year with it. Some commercial applicators are getting $12 per acre, so payback is there with these old self propelled units.

    Brilliant video Brandon. How long does it take to kill the weeds? Does that product kill the roots as well? We call that systemic in the UK.

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  Před měsícem

      This mix will start to turn the weeds yellow in about a day and will kill to the root...when it was hot and super dry I had weeds that had brown crunchy leafs with in a week so it definitely works quickly

    Ditch them AI tips. Run flat fans or turbo teejets. Coverage is everything. Ai are fine for soil applied pre. Droplets to large for anything else. I ran Ai for a few years in early 2000 then resistance came

    No hate here Brandon. Thanks for showing us around the Wilmar sprayer. I live in UK so haven't heard of such machines here so nice to see the in's and out's of it. From my perspective looks like you've got things fairly well under control (apart from the dodgy spray-bar bouncing), that would drive me bananas. I'd have to sort it out asap, if I owned it. How does it compensate? is it a pivot or twin cylinders and a pivot. Anyway thanks.

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  Před měsícem

      Thank you....it's got got a pivot some linkage that's supposed to make it compensate properly but I also think it's a balance issue with all the cobbled up repairs that have been made

  • @kentailor5007

    Is it possible to add more air to air bags to keep the booms from rocking back and forth (up and down)? Just a thought 🤷

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  Před měsícem

      I tried that but then the ride got really rough I did find holding one boom up alittle helps so that's what kept doing

    hey i need a bit of help i run the old tee jet tips on my sprayer i spray the church yard for skeeters them darn things are carrying off the kids when they are out playing and the tips i have are green dose the color of the tip mark the size of the hole they have going by the chart on the bug spray i am not getting enough on please help

    • @dirtgrainsteel
      @dirtgrainsteel  Před měsícem

      Yes the color of the tip tells the story on the tip tee jet has a chart that you can go by to set your sprayer like for example on the Wilmar I'm running a brown tip at around 50 psi and it's giving me 20 gallons per acre at 8 mph....I believe you can google image a Tee Jet tip chart my Agro Chem catalog has one in it and that'd what I use usually any catalog that sells Tee Jet has the chart in it....looks like at 50psi and at 4 mph your only getting maybe 10-12 gallons per acre I don't have a tip in my hand to see if it's got a part number on it to tell you exact lol
