As someone who brings their own clubs it’s really important. The clubs they give you are so bad and they’ll ruin your shot if you adapt to them. Hit 100 balls with a weird driver you’ll fuck up your shot. That simple.

I bring tees too. They keep cutting those tees so low you hit a stinger. Wouldn't bother me if it didn't hit the net so hard it bounces off and gives you no points. I have to go to top golf every few months to convince my girl that I don't want her on the golf course with me. If I'm not killing it and intimidating her, she might harsh my mellow every sunday with the boys.
Those mats and most range mats maybe with the exeption of indoor golf sim mats leave marks/plastic debris on the soles of the clubs though, so cleaning them is normal, if you dont you probably dont pay attention to your clubs!
