    Greetings Pete;
    Great review as always; I have been using the Mini for almost 2 years and find he results to be very good; My understanding is that the Mini Xtreme is a HVLP gun and not LVLP gun and hence it's designed to use more air then other mini guns that are based on the LVLP design; Sagola's website states the consumption per cap as follows; Mini EPA / AQUA = 190 L/Min, Mini HVLP = 325 L/Min, Mini TECH = 52 L/Min, comparing this to the LPH-80 (stated consumption is 50-60L/Min) the Mini Xtreme is a monster, also note that Sagola states that the AQUA cap is Waterborne paint specific cap and the EPA can be used with both waterborne and solvent based paints. Yet again, a great review, looking forward to the next one. Many thanks.

      Hi Tamir, I really enjoy using the Mini Xtreme to be fair, looking at your figures, it makes sense what I was saying because the Sri Pro Lite TE5 is rated at 100Lt Min so about half.
      I try to be objective when i do these reviews, it's my own money so i don't need to keep anyone happy but i do feel for a mini gun the Sagolas air consumption is too high, its fine for me but it will prelude people from buying it with a modest home setup, also the price particularly in the UK now is getting expensive, that's the two negative points really, the gun preforms really well otherwise.
      I think i said in the video i can't see or feel any difference between the EPA cap and the Aqua cap apart from the colour so i suspect they are the same cap, cheers 👍

    Hear what you are saying about their mini gun.
    I have two Satajet 4’s.
    A 1.2 & 1.0.
    Both guns use less than 5cfm, maybe much less & never had a problem with catching the fan control on either of them.
    They are excellent in every way & ideal for someone with limited air supply..

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 2 lety +2

      The air consumption for a mini gun is quite a consideration i would say, lots of people buy them because they have a limited supply of air so this Sagola really goes against that which is a bit silly imo, cheers buddy 👍

  • @Cavalier_Steve
    @Cavalier_Steve Před 2 lety +1

    Great video Pete, I get the impression that this Sagola gun didn’t totally meet your expectations especially with the air side of things. Seems to perform quite well though, like you say very limiting for those of us with smaller/lower CFM compressors. Cheers Pete.

      @peteshobbies5383  Před 2 lety

      Hi Steve, yeah, hopefully, I didn't come over too negative about the gun, I do like it, it's one of the few guns that I was initially disappointed with but after playing with it for a while I had it sorted, it's slower than i thought it would be but not a worry really and for most spot repairs it would be good. I was disappointed about the air consumption and its a real negative imo, people often buy mini guns to use at home because their compressor is small, it is really well made as all Sagolas seem to be, the other thing is the price, these are getting very expensive now, I bought these in Spain where they are much cheaper but most other places they are not, a shame really, cheers mate 👍

    @JohnWD40TC02 Před 2 lety +1

    Hey Pete, the Sagola certainly put the basecoat down very well mate it looks nice a smooth, Sagola do make some good quality guns but was very surprised to hear that this mini gun uses so much air, not sure why Sagola has done this as every other mini gun doesn't use that much so is ideal for the home user so I think Sagola will struggle to sell these to the home user 🤔
    I've always liked Sagola as they seem to be well made but since the takeover Sagola seem to have shot themselves in the foot and as far as I know you can only get them brand new from Sagola (apart from ebay) in the UK, most of the suppliers I know that were stocking them no longer do so, what with the prices going up and them being hard to get if this is true then Sagola are not doing themselves any favours 🤷‍♂️👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  Před 2 lety

      Hi John, your 💯 right mate in virtually everything you've said, I'm a bit of a Sagola fan, these guns don't hit the heights of the 4600, which just makes me grin every time I use it. Initially i was a little underwhelmed with them but i was in Spain spraying a friend's car only a few panels with a small compressor, the base gun was ok but the clear was disappointing especially as it used a lot of air, i ended up using the 3300 which i also bought and used that,
      I quite like them now, the clear gun is a little slow but if i hold it a bit closer than normal it's really good so problem solved.
      It's a shame they were bought out, as you say they are hard to get hold of now in the UK, sprayguns direct have them at £333 and Amazon UK have them from Spain at £235 but now you need to add VAT and carrier import charges to that which makes them up nearer the DV1s which is a better gun, add to that as you say for the guy at home the air consumption is a big problem, a great little gun if you have the air and buy them right, cheers mate 👍

    I am the owner of the aqua model and I do not have the EPA model and always comparing photos on the internet I think they are the same. But I sometimes think it's possible that the center cap hole in the EPA model was slightly larger versus Aqua?
    Both caps have an internal air shutter. Are the same?
    What would be the intention of making two identical caps and selling different names?
    I really admire that you analyze the products very well and are not just a product magazine.

      Hi buddy, thank you, I buy all my own equipment so i can say what i like without offence to anyone, I just give my honest opinion.
      The Sagola Aqua and EPA look exactly the same except the colour, as you say, they both have the air baffle in the inside of the cap.
      It's not unusual for a manufacturer to put base or clear on a product but they are the same thing, it's often a way of telling the painter which gun to for what product, Devilbiss did the same with the Pro Lite and Walcom do the same with there Carbonio 360, thanks again 👍

      @@peteshobbies5383 I think you're right. But I don't like it when the manufacturer sells a lot of money on a new cap and it just serves as a label for the painter. I almost bought the EPA cap once and would have spent a lot of money for nothing. Thanks to the help of your video, I now believe my suspicions were correct. I still think you're a good product reporter. very honest 👍

      @@tamiral-hadari2982 Thank you for your comment. I hope you will excuse me for speaking using the translator because my language is Spanish. I should support sagola but it is difficult for me to believe that they are different mouthpieces. I think that the reason is to fulfill more market products with the minimum factory expense. It sells well to have an aqua nozzle and another one that complies with EPA regulations. They are just my assumptions. I think the good thing would be to see a video where both caps are compared by painting the same clear, just changing the cap without changing the adjustment of the gun. But I am very happy with the gun that I have, of course
