- Schlage F Series is a 5 pin KIK with a collapsible bible allowing it to compress and fit in and out of the F Series knob. It contains Schlage F Series reverse T Pin drivers, as well as what appears to be a bit of over milling at the top of plug shear line. Not all F series have the over milling, and it very likely doesn’t play a role in pick resistance.
The feedback I got when picking this F series is very mushy - probably from the spring sitting below plug shear line.
I know 🤣 2 tensioners. Whatever helps!
Currently, the Schlage F Series is ranked at Orange belt with @LockPickersUnited
Cheers, and chat soon.

Last second tension's away! Nice Pick and gut on that! The reverse T-Pins look cool in this!
Haha 😆 thanks man. F series is super common in the U.S. Can find at a restore/habitat for humanity for cheap, or hardware store in the F Series Knob if you ever want to give one a try. The reverse T-Pin drivers are specific to the F series KIK cylinder.
@L0ckJocKey It's something I might look for in the future!! Thanks man, they do look like fun!
Nicely done. Love that pinning tray. I have a Schlage Mortise with an F series keyway that I remember being really tough to pick. It has all standard pins though instead of the reverse t-pin drivers. I think you mentioned some milling in the plug? Don't recall that on mine but honestly wasn't looking for it it back then either.
Thank you man! The pinning tray is friggin beautiful work by hazzertous and rein 🤩.
The F series KIK keyway is Schlage’s C keyway. Except the F series KIK has a section on the upper left side of keyway where it’s rounded out, I think to prevent efficient TOK tension.
It’s possible your mortise and the F series are both C keyway, but I believe the Schlage reverse T-pins are exclusive to the F Series KIK cylinder w/ collapsible bible.
The over milling seems to be random and I don’t think it’s as effective as it can be or was intended to be.
I wanna say the feedback is mushy because the springs sit below shear. Super common lock in U.S., hope you get a chance to pick one!
