Mediocre should never be blanketed as an improvement. If you are losing a match of this magnitude against opponents as Sundowns, it is better reflected when you have no gap in possession. In this game however Chiefs has less than 30% possession, few corner as well as 1 shot on target. Fighting and passion is no tactical approach to a game. Chiefs were underdogs and they should have frustrated Sundowns playing at home but they did not.
You are not making any sense, Sundowns has been built to play a possession based style for 7 or 8 seasons now, they have cooked, Kaizer Chiefs starting lineup is made up of 5 new players ,Hlanti, Peterson and Frosler being the only senior players starting lineup. Sundowns has got experienced players, they know how to win games and trophies, Kaizer Chiefs hasn't won in a long while. They working on combinations still,, they choose moments to attack Sundowns and if nothing is on they sit back, even the closest rivals being Orlando Pirates play on the counter against them ,what do you think would happen if Kaizer Chiefs opened the pockets for Sundowns to exploit? The last time we did that we got a handsome 4-0 whipping. In time the team will gel and the confidence will build, then we can take them on mpama for mpama
@@tshidipatience9281 I may be to you but just know that a team like Chiefs is a premier league team with players who were not fringe but main players from there x-teams. We are not teaching those players basics but we using their strength to the pattern/ style of play to beat opponents. We can not then say combinations are found when playing in moments. A team should fight for possession then combination will be possible. We will be able to argue how we have lost if we had a closed ball possession other than the 30/70 we were languishing on. Yes we lost 4-0 but checking that what happened 2-3 season ago where we were able to bounce back with a 2-0 win with Norkovics' goals. If chiefs is looking for combination, then it is best they have the possession other than waiting and that is a weakness.
@@sibusisorzwane Sundowns pockets are deeper, and it shows through the quality they have in their squad, they literary have 3 solid starting lineups, fringe players who would be starters for any of the other 15 remaining competitors. We not only competing against their pockets, it's their desire to not allow the gap to close, we've heard their coach say in public that if a player is available on the market and they have potential to strengthen the opponent they would rather go all out to ensure that it never happens, even if they don't immediately need they player, they have a storage to keep players away from rivals. In the past 5 years I would say the only time chiefs got their quality main target was Ashley Dupreez and given Msimango, the rest have been free agents and panic buys. Besides the financial side of it, Sundowns is miles ahead of Kaizer Chiefs when it comes to the football, they have a philosophy, while Chiefs is working on theirs still. It will take 2 or 3 years to maybe be on par with them

They have a large pull of players to choose their best 11 and this as you have said " Kaizer Chiefs hasn't won in a long while. They working on combinations still,, " which to my sense, you are saying if a team has new in coming players, they need to work on combination. Such is the case with Sundowns as it is with Chiefs. We then need to ask ourselves why Chiefs from the pool of players they have are not able to develop combination or chemistry. When we are playing it is difficult to pick up if we are building on a philosophy or players confidence. Tshidi please tell me how Chief builds-up, if not tell me scenarios which show confidence level from the players. Chiefs had 4 shots against 21 with only 1 on target against 6. So after scoring a goal, Chiefs could not build an appetite to knock on Williams even if it means off target? We sing improvements if the team is building positive statistics and right now Chiefs is not doing that. I agree with what you are saying about Sundowns economics and I think it should be discussed.
