  • COMPLETE & UTTER HELLFIRE... Its safe to say I have never seen so many 321's in such a short space of time, at such high speed, in my entire life!
    Most of them in 12 car formation, screaming through at, at least the 90mph mark, most of them reaching 100!
    The sound is amazing so turn it up & listen to those 321's howling! :)
    Includes soo many different liveries 3x NXEA liveries, Great Eastern livery, Silverlink livery & a London Midland livery!!
    :O
    It was great!
    PLEASE WATCH THE FULL VIDEO TAKEN HERE AT ROMFORD THIS DAY INCLUDING MORE PEAKS & 90's!

    Great mix of first/second franchise liveries there.
    First franchise (but Second gen) First Great Eastern (with the second franchise vinyl NXEA stripe that was added after National Express ditched 'one' and renamed as National Express East Anglia);
    Full first franchise Silverlink livery (on a short term hired-in unit);
    Second franchise 'one' livery (with later NXEA white stripe);
    Second franchise full painted National Express white/silver livery (but all seemingly missing the vinyl 'connection' stripes);
    Second franchise scaled back NXEA livery (plain white with blue doors);
    Second franchise London Midland (another short term hired-in unit).
    Definitely the biggest mix of liveries of this fleet ever operated together. You did well/got lucky to catch them all - particularly London Midland and 321446 - the only one ever to get the dreadful 'one' livery (which was done in vinyl over virgin fresh FGE paint straight out of C6X the days before 'one' launched).
    Sad indictment of what an absolute clusterf@&# National Express were, that they managed to generate 4 different liveries all themselves, within just one franchise term on East Anglia! 😂

      The limit is only 90 mph through Romford and the 321s are limited to 100 mph. At this time NXEA had a ton of 321s, some were refurbed, some unrefurbed and some were cascaded from the WCML. Hence why they are in so many liveries in this vid.

      No none of them do as on the GEML line, Class 321's normally are put on to routes beyond Shenfield going country bound which then means the trains will only usually stop (from shenfield to london) Shenfield, Stratford and Liverpool Street. The only occasion where they may stop the trains at Romford would be if a class 321 is put onto the stopping service going from Shenfield and all the stations between there and Liverpool Street (which would never really happen) or if they have an agreement with TFLRail to take passengers from Romford to LST on the fast line which rarely happens and only usually happens when there may be a delay. This happens because Greater Anglia (the company who replace NXEA) gave away there rights to run trains between Shenfield and Liverpool street on the slow line for the upcoming Crossrail which will soon run from Shenfield to the other side of London, since doing that Greater Anglia only run a 'fast' service on the GEML line between Shenfield and LST and beyond Shenfield they operate the rest of the GEML line on their own.
