All I can say is thank the stars for Brian Cox, If I hadn't watched his 'Wonders of the Universe' Series, I'd have missed this. I used to be involved in the Scottish Folk scene for some years in the 90's, if I'd known, if I'd only known....

Kate has been singing for over 20 years, I heard her first on backing track on a tv program about the Yorkshire Dales a few years ago, I now have 7 albums, 3 more to get, going to my 3rd gig in Halifax with my daughters, how cool is that.
Some voices carry "meaning" just by the quality of the sound. Kate could hum or sing in Portugese and I'd still "get it." Kate, you are a treasure. Thank you, lass.
Well I was brought here by Brian Cox. Incredible singer, brings a peacefulness to folk that people, like fleet foxes and all that, actually miss in my opinion. 5th time hearing and I'm addicted already :D
Brilliant! It is so good to hear something reflecting the genuine native English musical culture for once, rather than the usual Anglo-American commercial pop/rock rubbish. We can be really proud of her!
Beautiful video of a beautiful lass with a beautiful voice. I went to see her a month ago and she was just incredible. Funny in between songs too. So down to earth. I wish her all the luck in the world, but I doubt she needs it. Thanks Kate.

driving home at 8 oclock last night so knackered and put radio 2 on !!!!! kate playing live..the best car journey ive ever had ,never heard of her before that "what a find" could cost me some money on albums though??

It has taken twenty years for me to hear Kate Rusby. I was watching a prog about the dales when I heard Kate. I was on youtube all night soaking up the songs of KR and I did not find a bad one. I purchased the Livefromleeds dvd and if you are going to the Halifax gig tomorrow night I will see you there. Kate is a brilliant singer ,song writer and she makes music look easy and I love the way she sings in a Barnsley accent.
I'm yet another Prof Cox and 'Universe' connector! just had to trace this beautiful track. I now know this song pretty well, and it will be part of my reportoire this summer when I get back to the Kootenays in Canada. I will really try and get to see her when I'm back this autumn, but I fear she may take the winter off! Thanks Kate for such great music, you really are wonderful!

I just love this song, beautifully sung really moves me never get tired of a lot of her stuff. First heard her on Bob Harris show, went to live concert on the strength of just one song. Could not believe how good she was, hooked since then, Bob has introduced me to a lot of good people. Interesting to see how many people from different music tastes appreciate her
Over the years, I have found most of the great (good night out) folk artists, do good, in between songs, 'crack'. The best I ever saw? a toss up between Vin Garbutt & Tony Capstick.

i am a folk-singing yank . . . . and had never heard of kate rusby . . . then 2-3 months ago . . . through a fast-moving series of online-enabled occurrences . . . . suddenly become a fan and admirer of rusby. . . . . and ok so . . . . without embarrassment . . . but short of posting a link, i ask you to track me down on youtube . . . . . to find an older, male, american's keyboard treatment of . . . . . 'falling' . . . . . . i learned of rusby via another shimmering yorkshire gem, the singer/guitarist alice came-banks . . . (what's in the water out there??)
