When women did things like this together we were so much better off. I remember whole weekends making pierogi and helping other women fix meals in local American Legion for weddings, funerals and other events. Brings back great memories for me.
Tears rolling down my cheek as I watch this video now as I did from years past. I remember this one fondly among so many others I used to watch as a young wife and cook. Wanting to impress my husband. The Christmas shows were especially exciting to watch. I wanted everything perfect like Martha. Lovely show ~ lovely episode w her dear Mother, “Big Martha”.
Here I am a new mom and wife and wanting to impress my husband like u lol😭❤️
Love Martha,I use to have her recipe book s.Loved cooking for my late husband and family 🙏🇺🇸💕

Hello 👋 how are you doing today
I love watching Martha and her mother. Brings wonderful memories of watching my own Mother, Alice make stiffed Cabbage Rolls, I make mine just like my Mother made hers. YUM
Every moment we spend with our mothers is precious.
I'm lithuanian and my late mother used to make these all my life. Our family enjoyed these. My mom knew how to make everything taste good. 😋😋😋🍽️🍽️🍽️
Being Polish I must admit that these gołąbki are almost identical to my Mom’s. Love Martha’s Mom
I love the recepie, I will make sure to cook it and share it with my friends and family. Thank you Marthas.
Why wouldn’t it be? They’re Polish too.
These are some of my favourite Martha Stewart episodes I think it's lovely to see how Martha and her mom cook together ❤️😊
My Mom who passed this year used to make these...this warmed my heart tonight. ♡
I'm 55 and all my friends called me Martha F'n Stewart ...I wear that as a badge of honor!
I loved when Martha's Mom was on her show..... You can tell she adored her mother. ❤
Robin Cassidy RN. What do u mean, is Martha's mother not anymore on shows now?
Her mother passed away a few years back.
Robin Cassidy RN ...probably the only person in the world Martha respected and didn't talk down to..

I am from Puerto Rico. My mother made stuffed cabbage like that. I learn cooking from my mother.
My mother and I use to watch these old Martha shows together every morning with a cup of coffee and we especially loved when Martha and her mother cooked and baked together. This brings back wonderful memories of my time spent with my mother who passed away 7 years ago. It is wonderful to see the love between Martha and her mother that came through while making cherished old family recipes.
Would love to see more. 💕 It’s comfort food for the soul.
Patti M use to watch with my mom too in the morning & had our coffee ..good memories ❤️

Lilith Aram I saw that too, watching with a stern and eagle eye. Reminds me of my mum who passed away 6 years ago, looked like Martha’s mum too

Hello 👋 how are you doing today
Martha, I have always loved your videos, but I must say these cooking shows with your precious Mum are so special. Thank you for sharing them!
What sweet mother and daughter team they make. Love it.
For one thing sure I know how much your MOTHER has disciplined you and I really admire you Martha for showing all that gratitude with all your glorious movements.
Ah I love how your mum was
Involved in this. It was really sweet to watch.
I love when her mother was on the show. They are so sweet to one another. Great recipes!
I always loved it when you had your mom on!!! Still watching your programs, Martha! October 14, 2022
I love mom kept tapping wood spoon on the pot to collect every bit of goodness!
My mother made cabbage rolls for us. It was my father's favourite dish. Seeing this reminds me of her. I miss her and dad both.
Thank you, Martha. I love the Mother/Daughter touch. What a beautiful legacy to pass down from one generation to another.
Miss Martha's mother - I know she must miss her too. My own mother has passed, it's never the same when they have to go.
Martha, I just love your mother, she is so sweet and charming
As Mother's Day is fast approaching, I enjoy seeing Martha and her mother working together. It makes me miss my mother so much. Martha is lucky to have videos of her mom. Just being able to hear my mother's voice again, would be a great pleasure. There are so many things to miss about someone you love after they have left this life. But, most of all, you miss just being able to talk to them.
Peace and love! God Bless YOU!
I miss my mom too! She died 2 years ago and I would love to see her again!! These videos remind me when my mom and I used to cook together!!
@@catherinestgermain3362 yes, the beautiful memories will always be with us.. blessings 😍🙏🏽
😭😭😭😭😭 Yes, it truly would be a TREASURE to HEAR our MOTHER'S VOICE. 🥰🥰🥰 My mother always had the video camera out documenting Our Lives when we were young children and I also got in trouble many times because I was moving the camera much too fast. Once a month we would watch videos we took in the past and I think we were up to about 50 or 60 reels from 1969 through 1979. I was unfortunately taken away from my mother by my eldest sister and have no idea what happened to those Super 8 tape recordings. I never got a single thing from my childhood not one thing. Had some photos but they were taken out of storage after 25 years and taken to a home I was building and somehow someone put a mortgage on my home and sold it so I never got any of my stuff. Don't have anything I had more than what I accumulated in the last five years.😭😭😭😭
Just love watching Martha’s Mom. Reminds me of my mom.
Great! The warm feeling between them really shows
What a wonderful, sweet lady. I will always miss her. She always made me smile. God bless you Big Martha ❤️
I enjoy how relaxed and at ease you are with your mom. Few mother-daughter relationships are without problems, but whatever the case, it's obvious you two have a good relationship and that you both admire each other's skill in the kitchen. Lovely to see. Thank you.
Mom passed away a few years ago....loved watching her...rip
I think I am Going to try the stuffed cabbage.WONDERS NEVER CEASED.
Martha , your Mother's complexion looks SOO smooth . 💕
Great dish. What a blessing to cook with your mom. I lost my mom at 5 so I enjoy watching these family times. I love me some Martha!

Wow Martha cooking with her mom l hope my mom still alive to enjoy an unforgettable moment like this once again
Recipes from momma ... priceless!
How blast you are to have your mom around as long as you have. I am 55 and my mom just passed away 4 weeks ago at 77. I would have loved to still be cooking still with her and just to be able to spend more time as well.
It is a blessing. I was only 29 when I lost my mom, she was 75. I'm 51 now.
Wonderful demonstration Martha ,daughter and mother did great!!!!
Love Martha and her Mom cooking videos. Priceless.

Martha , your Mom is a sweet delight, I love her and you
My mother was Hungarian. We had these rolled cabbages all the time. They are called Halupki in that language....Everyone makes them a little different...But end result is DELICIOUS!
She's very sweet with her mom.
Mom Is adorable and I love how she add sour cream to everything. That’s right up my alley. Very sweet cooking video together.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
Absolutely wonderful. These videos are superb and I love how Martha's mother shares her own mother's techniques. Thank you for showing us how to make this classic Polish dish!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
I’m watching this missing my mom too. She made the most wonderful Golompki. We didn’t put apples or green peppers. But Martha’s look nice. It’s nice to see her with her mom. She listens to her. Big Martha is in charge. It’s funny all daughters listen to their mom’s in the kitchen.
Martha had a great mom! One of the reasons she was so successful! Thanks for sharing this recipe. Big Martha’s cooking segments are my favorites.
I love you Martha 💖
Thank you so much for sharing your mom with us. I absolutely love to see you cook with your mom, so special ❣️❣️❣️💞
And you did it the old-fashioned family way ❣️👍
You're the absolute best God bless you both and thank you again 😘😘😘😘🙏🙏🙏❣️💞💖
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
Omg one of the best I have ever watched this brought tears to my eyes. Loved how you worked together. So enjoyable Thank you
Love seeing world famous chef Martha honoring family foods tradition with Mom. Love & respect
I loved to watch Martha and Martha when she cooked with her mother on her hour show, now I get to save on utube ALOHA
~love -- from a Pole who adores Martha and ....her Mom. Galabkis was the last thing I made for my Mom before she died. Off the cuff in her meager kitchen. They came out wonderful, and we always made them big and lined the pan with the tougher leaves.
Hey !! WHO invited Miss CA_CA?
I've never made cabbage rolls yet and have seen two versions - cooked in the oven and now on the stove top. They both sound awesome and I'm getting ready to make them right now! YUM.
yummy right!
Both methods are delicious. My mother-in-law made hers similar to Martha and her mom. My mom baked hers in the oven. And I in turn bake them in the oven the same way my mom made hers. The are true comfort food.
I wish she would post her mom and her making stollen.
One of my favorite videos.
My mouth is watering watching this. My Romanian Grandmother made this dish, although with a few differences. She passed the recipe on to my Mom, her daughter-in-law, who made these and froze portions for me to take home when I visited her and Dad. Good memories.
This was awesome; I needed to know how to peel those leaves off and this is the perfect process. Your mom is great.
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
🙏🌷👏 so delighted that this came up as my second stuffed cabbage video! How absolutely amazing it must be to have your mother next to you cooking your heritage food. My mother always made the best Hungarian stuffed cabbage and to this day it has remained my all-time favorite Hungarian food. Since so many men despise cabbage I haven't made it in quite a number of years but since I've been in the hospital for so long I am going to be selfish and make this stuffed cabbage recipe just for myself! My heart is so overfilled with joy and my eyes are filled with tears wishing that I could have had the opportunity to cook with my mother because she passed away when I was just 29 years of age caught up in that terrible rat race of trying to make a living although I (CORRECTED "didn't") DID IN FACT make every available vacation for my family and my mother. I'm just amazed that you put the apples in there which I have not seen before. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! 💜
So nice to see them both happy
I miss this show so much.
I always like to watch whatever you cook , sooo lovely Martha 👍🏻
This is a very nice episode. When I was a child, I always had at least three of them. 😋

Martha I love watching your mom what a delightful person she was. You learned from the best
God please I pray to have this moment with my mum too in my house! Amen
Martha’s mother and my grandmother looked VERY similar. And they cooked the same way. Great.
I can't wait to make this! Love cabbage!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
I have always loved how Martha was so tender to her mother. Mother must have been a good mother as Martha was growing.
I loved watching you and your mom, as the mom I have been making videos about our family recipes with my son on his cooking channel, precious times.
I think ill make these tonight. They look great!
Loved when I first saw her on CBS I think and followed her all the way love her!!!!!
Brings back childhood memories of my Babcie and Mother cooking favorites
Mom shouldve had her own show. ❤
watching this loving video fills my heart with joy as I remember my dear sweet grandmother 💞💞
I'm from Moldova and my grandma always used to put the cabbage rolls aka Sarmale in the oven for about an hour aswell after they been cooking on the stove top for an hour. Putting the Sarmale in the oven also gives them even more flavour
Tequilla Sunset STFU go have another tequila sunrise!
Behind every great cook, is a great Mom/teacher. 💏
I love Martha’s voice and I love her moms voice more
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
This was really interesting. I know nothing about Polish food. Now I want to try this.
Me too!!!
I grew up on these.
My Dads Mom was Polish, my Moms Mom was from Lithuania.
Golumke or Lishkis was the same dish.
It's not Polish per se. Stuffed cabbage are made in Asia, Mediterranea, Eastern Europe etc.
Some of the best cooking always COMES from polish cooks!! Yuum. ✌💗🙏
@@festersuncle6298 its made in western europe too like in my country sweden. Our king during great northern war visited ottoman empire because to make the ottomans join in the war with him but failed but bringed this dish with him
Making this right now and I cant wait to taste!! I watched this video 3 days ago and I've been thinking about it ever since lol! Y'all wish me luck. Thanks Martha and mama!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
My mother made the most amazing cabbage rolls. The secret was half a teaspoon of nutmeg to the meat. And the meat was usually ground moose meet and ground pork. So many variations to cabbage rolls. I love them all
I saw a pic once of Martha’s grandmother and she was really beautiful.
I was looking for the old fashioned recipe I grew up with..this is amazing & adds apple, which is appealing. Making it for dinner tonight..thank you!
Love this dish. Brings back fond memories of joyful holidays. Where my mother's family is from it is called niños envuelto (wrapped children) LOL!
Hello 👋 how are you doing today
Thank you so much! I used to wait for my grandmother's stuffed cabbage but I was not smart enough to write down the whole recipe. I am in your debt. Thank you so much.
So sweet Mom and daughter ❤
Love it! Right out of my childhood, on a cold winters day. Mother called them Halupkies. Mama made them with sauerkraut. Yum!!!
I remember watching this in real time.... great recipe.
I love the two working together. They have similar voices, low and deep. I like her mother. She doesn't mess around.
I love Martha Stewart! Anytime I am making a new recipe and can't find a clear and concise recipe video, I always go and see how Martha does it and its always clear and results in absolute perfection. She's so specific and really does things the RIGHT way. Thank you Martha!
This is fabulous!! 💕💕
this is my take on what a recipe video should be... perfect. bravo for bringing these valuable videos out.
what is Chercloe seasoning
I love watching them cook together. Brings back the best memories of cooking with my mom. This dish was one of her favorites. I remember baking with her from the age of three. I loved to watch her. She was so patient and let me help.
I like watching these old Martha Stewart show videos. Just reminds of life and what TV was like back in the day.
