I love all about this one, and I mean ALL. The fact that Su passes Moa the mic, the way they make eye contact, the smirk that Moa does instead of a "standard" death stare, the big smile when she gets the crowd feedback once she starts singing... THAT SMILE!!!

Moa has been my favourite since before I even knew her name, when I heard one had left I thought please don’t be her. Then after seeing all the interviews Sakura.Gakuin stuff etc. I am totally convinced. Japanese are traditionally very reserved and keep their emotions to themselves but not Moa, she wears her heart on her sleeve which is why she is known as the Angel of Love, if any of her friends needs a hug she magically appears.
Even Darth Vader can't escape her hug ^^

The look on her face is priceless... “It’s MY turn bitches!” I’ve been a fan since they were so young. To see her take the lead so powerfully really brought tears to my eyes as well. An epic performance with so much love in the crowd.

This performance shows something that sometimes some people kind of forget, that Moa is not only a dancer and backing vocal, she is also a trained singer, and the Su is not only a singer but she is also a tranied dancer.
And there is another change on this song compared to the original, a change they used on Su's 20th birthday and again on this performance for Moa, the song usualy says "Ichigo no yoru o" that means something like "This special night of my fifteen" but it was changed to "Hatachi no yoru o" that is something like "This special night of my twenty", it's the first line Moa sings after getting the microphone.
And don't worry, everyone likes Moa, she is funny, cool and cute XD
And as some people mentioned, this performance might get this video blocked, if you want to react to performances from that list you will need some kind of link&sync to avoid blocks.
I'm afraid in Babymetal Moa and Yui get very little vocal training.
Well, they had 4 years on Sakura Gakuin and also the Black Babymetal songs, so, i would call that some training.
@@somefox2928 yes, but I mean, I think they might not have a permanent vocal coach.
The three of them all went to the same School Academy together from earliest childhood. The school trains students in dance, singing, stage presence and routines along with regular school studies. Moa and Yui were two years younger and paired together due to age and similar height.
@@autohmae Yes, they probably don't but i'm not even sure that it's a normal thing, to have a permanent one, i think they might bring someone to give Su some lessons when she has to sing something different than the usual, but other than that i think even her doesn't have a permanent one. Other than that they where all at Sakura Gakuin and that was not only an idol group but also an idol school so they probably had vocal training there, or at least a lot of pratice. And Moa singing was good on this performance, and she was singing "solo", so it was easy to hear her voice.

For me this live performance is one of the best for this song. With the change of the lead singing to Moa, it shows what potential is still lying dormant in Babymetal. Moa has had some chances to sing by herself, but I think this performance shows all her talent.
And Moa's smile, who can resist it! For me, it has become an integral part of my life to watch this live performance at least once a day.
And don't be shy about the tears. Even the hardest can get tears of joy in their eyes from these wonderful performances of babymetal.
And I confess, I had to shed my tears too, but I like to see one of my favorite bands making others happy too.

While I agree, it just wouldn't be the same without Yui being there. I'm not one of the people who think Yui needs to comeback or it's not the same, I love BABYMETAL both with her and since she left. I just think keeping those songs out is the right choice because they were specialized for the two of them. Plus it keeps people intrigued as to if there's a chance she'll come back. You'd be surprised how many people will wriggle on that hook for many more years!

Google Translate gives it as "Most Beloved".

This was Moa's fourth time taking over the lead vocals for this song.
She took over in Cologne, Germany on July 3rd, 2014, the day before her 15th birthday.
Again when BABYMETAL got back to Japan, on July 21st, 2014 at the APOCRYPHA - M show.
And then again for the two 'Legend M' concerts (July 6th & 7th, 2019) in her home prefecture of Nagoya, celebrating her 20th birthday.

Great reaction! I too got a bit misty the first time I saw this, but it wasn't the first time this happened. In fact both Yui and Moa got to sing this song in an earlier concert on their birthdays, but I forget which one, and I believe the only video of it was fan-cammed. My favorite part of this one is the little smirk she has as she holds the mic stand up in the section you paused on. She was extra smiley and happy this whole show.
If you'd like a solo Moa, and Yui performance, they each did solo cover songs at the Legend 1999 concert celebrating their 14th birthdays. Moa did a cover of Love Machine by Morning Musume ( www.dailymotion.com/video/x7vx50r ) and Yui did a cover of Chokotta Love by Petitmoni ( www.dailymotion.com/video/x7vx5e0 ). Full disclosure, it was really them singing, but the live performance was lip synced. Still worth a watch though.
Moa has also sung some Black Babymetal songs solo after Yui left the band. They were good performances, but it was very weird to see her by herself doing those songs, especially during the Legens S: Baptism XX concert, as that was the first show without Yui and they didn't have time to really change the choreography of the songs to account for a missing member.

This show ("Legend M") is a celebration of Moa's 20th birthday and it was held at her birthplace, Nagoya. For that reason besides having her taking the lead the lyrics of the song are changed from "ichigo no yoru o" (this special night of my fifteen) to "hatachi no yoru o" (this special night of my twenty).
About Su dancing... I'm sure you already know that both Moa and Su are graduates from Sakura Gakuin, so yeah, Su can actually dance and Moa can actually sing :-)

This is the 3rd time someone besides Su has sung the 2nd part of Headbanger.. there is an earlier one of Moa (17th birthday) and one of Yui (17th birthday also i think) but it is hard to find a good quality video of either of those
