My wife was born on the Lawe top and christened in St.Stephens ( the chuggy she used to call it ).We married there in 1972 and our wedding was blessed with the appearance of the Tyne Pilots Whale Choir.
Oh.. how lovely to see my old home.. I lived in Vespasian Avenue.. and remember the Pilots at the Lawe Top very well.. Oh.. the childhood memories.! Live in Perth, Western Australia now.. Thank You all!!

Great to see, I lived beside the Beacon pub. There's nowhere as lovely to live as The Lawe Top. Lovely to see these familiar faces and places I love.
A great video and brings back memories of my family who lived on Hedley Street and then later I lived in Julian Street. Shame the Beacon is gone now!
