Hans Conried played Lincoln in this film. He and Verna Felton later co starred in Sleeping Beauty as Conried modeled King Stefan and provided additional lines whereas Felton voiced Flora.

Well, Lincoln never met with any Indian tribes out West to begin with, but during the Civil War in 1864 the Army did relocate the Navajo tribe.
What are the odds the blonde survived getting back to the fort with hundreds of Indians still in the area? Most folk probably saw this at the drive in movie from the back seats of their car in between amorous “ sessions”.

Cheesy…the dance hall girl didn’t want to travel to Tucson, Albuquerque, or Santa Fe but rather to Las Vegas which in Nevada, was not yet a settlement let alone a city.

@@rudyarrey1932 yes, I considered that, but she would have taken the stage going to Albuquerque or Santa Fe from Fort Union, it would have taken her right through Las Vegas NM which is not very far south.
There are lots of anachronisms in movies that are left in the scripts or in scenes because producers likely figure the average Joe and Jane don’t know better. I’d be curious to know why a saloon girl would want to go to Las Vegas NM.

Unique story really though full of baloney and fictitious nonsense. Still enjoyable flick. I was hoping the soldiers would close ranks in the church for one valiant last stand. Yeah, I felt bad for the natives being burned alive crushed by all those rocks, and they only wanted one white bimbo to par-tey. BTW: did the older woman just disappear?
