Hello everyone, I was in the RV repair industry for 44 years, recently sold my company and retired. This has to be one of the most accurate informative videos I’ve seen. Nice job and spot on with all the topics he covered. Really refreshing to see someone who actually knows what they’re talking about. Keep up the good work.

How ab out this friend? I find the more you pay the more you pay. The trailers are bigger, far heavier, take far more fuel to move, take far more money to fix, still comes apart like any trailer, the truck to tow it needs to cost an arm and leg, and in the long run your trailer just loses all it's value like another trailer. You are paying more for this trailer than a 10 acre home in some areas. What you think of that accuracy?

Thank you for your straight forward clear language making it much easier to actually understand the differences in the ratings as well as visually comparing and pointing them out how to recognize possible future problems. I learned so much and look forward to seeing more. I usually read manuals or other ‘how to’s and stay away from videos because often they have a very narrow focus, I accidentally touched my screen and your video came up and within the first couple minutes I was hooked as you compared different models that ‘almost’ all look the same by were vastly different in quality of product. 13:40 So true! I've seen a lot of 5th wheels in the shop with bad axles/bearings/springs/hangers. Those axles are so cheap to begin with, it's pretty outrageous that on a $50k+ RV they don't spend an extra $200-500 for a set of proper axles and spring hangers

Well done video with lots of good info. Something worth mentioning to look for in higher end units would be dual ducted AC units. The traditional RV AC's have the return air plenum visible on the ceiling and the newer dual ducted units have it insire the ceiling with return air ducts pulling air to the unit. Dual Ducted units are much quieter. There seems to be a lot trailers marketed as high end just because they use a solid surface counter or add USB or frosted glass on an interior door but still have a traditional AC.

Been around rvs since I was a baby and have owned them pretty much my entire adult life to date and can say with a lot of confidence that the travel trailer with the swayed out tire was more than likely the way they pulled it into the spot it sat and less underrated axles. It looked to me to be a flagstaff micro lite (which I own one currently). Mine does that only when I turn sharp, and from my experience most rvs do, doesn’t matter if they are high end or low end. For the price point they went after they are really quality travel trailers with a lot of higher end rv accessories and amenities and feel very solid, hell mine has full independent suspension and it’s only a 25’ camper. Last trip I took I watched a very large Luxe rv pull in a slip and the tires swayed out just like that and you don’t really get much more high end than that. Other than that very good video especially for someone who is on the fence on deciding between a cheaper camper over a higher end model because they truly don’t know what they are getting for the extra cost.

    1. This was really informative. You talked a lot about suspension but I would like to hear about shock absorbers. Do they do any good, are they worth the effort?2. I feel it is important to make sure the vent in the high ceiling over the kitchen has a remote. No one is going to reach it from the ground.3. One thing no one ever seems to address is driving style. If you use Rest Stops or Truck Stops to take a break, you can not put your slides out. Is your RV fully functional with the slides in? Can you open the fridge? Cook? Get into bed?

Good job! Tell makers we don't care about fluff mess eye appeal. We want structural stability. No leaks. Hey, y'all hear that - no leaking! So far, it seems Oliver, BigFoot, maybe Northwood makes the best quality. Oliver being the absolute best. I don't have one, and they don't make anything over 23' (?), but Oliver doesn't skimp on quality.

This was very informative, especially for someone how knows nothing about 5th wheels and trailers. What to look for and the difference in the quality of them as well.

Outstanding video. We are putting an offer in on a '17 Keystone Raptor and this brought up some great points for us to look at before we drive 5 hours to go look at it and sign paper work.

Can you do a video like this on toy haulers? :) I'm getting ready to move from a bumper pull coachmen toy hauler to a fifth wheel toy hauler. Your videos are really informative! Thank you!

I am making it a habit to watch your videos. Very informative and I think honest. I don't live any where close to your business but would consider flying down just to buy from you!

I'm not an RV sales person sir. I just do reviews and walk-through videos.

Good to know that the top corner trim is releasing on these high end units. Same thing with my Crusader 295rst and I was a little nervous about quality. Seems to be a climate or humidity issue. Easy fix never the less.
