Welcome to Laos 🇱🇦…I’m Laotian American from California. I don’t have a chance to go back since 2015🇺🇸 jealous of you guys 😅😅😅Enjoy and have a safe trip
Thank you! 😊😊 We love it in Laos. That’s awesome, what part of California? We used to live a bit south of LA for a few years. Bummer you haven’t been able to visit since 2015… hopefully you get the chance soon! Thanks so much for watching! 🤗
I am a local there, every week or once a month whenever Vientiane locals get bored, we always go there for a night to rest our thoughts and minds, really peaceful place. ❤❤❤❤ thanks for visiting us, thanks for visiting Laos, your video is so amazing.
Wow, that sounds lovely. I bet it’s a gorgeous ride out there. That place is so beautiful and a great place to clear your mind! Thanks for watching, we’re happy you enjoyed it. ✌️☺️
Thanks so much TSk! As always, we appreciate your support. 🥰🥰 We also can't wait to be back in Thailand to experience more of the amazing Thai culture. ✌️😊
Thanks so much for watching! ☺️ We didn’t have a lot of service on the back roads, so we used maps.me for a lot of it, but other than that Google maps seemed fine! Will you have a local sim card?
Thank you! 😊 We wish that we could be there for that, but our visas are up and we won’t be able to make it back quite yet! We do have plans to return and see more of your beautiful country though!! ✌️😊
Thank you! Entering and exiting was quite easy. Leaving however was difficult because we loved our time there so much. We can’t wait to be able to return!
They were both lovely. Not that we saw unfortunately. But we didn't look very hard either. Both have little seating huts. Number two seemed to have a place near the entrance where there could have been lockers, but we were just good at keeping a keen eye and everything worked out for us. Thanks for watching! 😊
It seems you were in Vang Vieng in February or March? How is the weather then? I hears the pollution is terrible? I am going to Laos in February for my first ever visit.
We were in Vang Vieng in January 2023, and the weather was a bit rainy. The town overall is dusty because there are very few paved roads, but we don’t remember the pollution being bad. Laos gave us a bit of culture shock, but we loved it (except Vientiane), and we wouldn’t hesitate to return now that we are a bit more well-traveled. Have a safe and fun trip! Let us know if you have any other questions. 🙂
It's good to see you guys exploring the real china and see how beautiful the country is cos, we know the western media always show the negative parts and misleading peoples into thinking how bad china is. Really hope to visit china one day, hope you guys enjoyed your times there. Love from UK!
Thanks so much for watching! 😊 It sure is beautiful, and we have really enjoyed it, but this is in Laos, very close to China. We do hope to go to China some day soon.
Haha, no worries! Like I said, we’d love to! We hope to be able to soon while on this side of the world, but we’ve got some other places ahead of us at the moment. China looks incredible, and intimidating (it’s HUGE!) but there’s so much beauty to see. ✌️😊
Hello! May I have permission to use some of your videos to make videos for Tik Tok? Because my teacher gave us final project exam about promoting Vangvieng Laos. Thank you
Ah! We’re so sorry! 😅😂 We normally have subtitles up as we post, but we’ve had poor internet connection the last two weeks and have been on the road a lot! Thank you so much for watching and for the great feedback, we’ll be sure to correct this in the future and get some subtitles up ASAP!
We understand how you feel. Where we live in Alaska, it’s a very small community surrounded by beautiful nature, but each summer, over 600,000 people come through on busses. There were a lot of tourists in Vang Vieng and it is very beautiful. I feel like tourism is a big part of the industry and drives a lot of the economy though. That’s why they are putting the high speed train through and doing so much promotion to increase tourism. I’m sorry you feel like it’s spoiled. Hopefully people respect its beauty and treat the nature and the people with kindness and love.

@@mikeandashley Thanks! We've been using an eSIM "Ubigi" for our SE Asia travels. Just watched your Luang Prabang and train journeys too! New sub! 👍

Once a gymnast always a gymnast.
We should have tried the balance beam! Next time. 😊
Lagoons look blue and lovely.
They were awesome. Ashley loves the water, I enjoy being around it, but prefer the mountains, so Vang Vieng is a perfect paradise!

@@mikeandashley thanks. I've been hearing the pollution due to crop burning is terrible. Fingers crossed.
Wishing you the best! ❤️

Oops, sorry just to correct myself, i was meant to say "hope you guys can explore china", cos it's the country i mostly wanted to visit. Lol!
Haha, no worries! Like I said, we’d love to! We hope to be able to soon while on this side of the world, but we’ve got some other places ahead of us at the moment. China looks incredible, and intimidating (it’s HUGE!) but there’s so much beauty to see. ✌️😊
Beautiful! Thx for sharing. Where can Americans apply for Laos visa?
We applied at the border crossing in Chiang Khong, Thailand. It was pretty simple, only took a few minutes and cost $40 USD. 😊
@@mikeandashley thx!
Of course! 🤗
You can do visa on arrival. But you need cash in US dollars to pay for it.
How deep is Blue Lagoon 3? Because Im a weak swimmer. Do they have life vest in this lagoon?
I’m not 100% sure of the depth, but they did have life vests available when we were there. They also have kayaks and rafts you can use as well.

Sure, no problem! Just please make sure to tag our TikTok for credit. @mikeandashleytravel. ☺️ Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Why do you have to stay there for so long ? 😂🎉😘😘
We like to slow travel some times! It feels nice to take a break and get to know an area better than you can in one day. ☺️
I love your film but you speak too fast... Sorry for poor English I have to see the subtitle.

Sorry but vang vieng is a beautiful place spoilt by Westerns.
