The first five titles Villa won you only played 34 games a season and when they won their 1899-90 title Glossop were relegated. Villa haven't played a single Champions League game, the European Cup doesn't count as the Champions League because they are very different competitions. Leeds have unique opportunities that other clubs don't have. While yes you can throw money at Palace but they already have major competition in their market in London. Leeds are a one club City with a population of over three quarters of a million people. Heading north there isn't another big club until you reach Middlesboro so there is a huge catchment area for fans that other clubs simply don't have. With Bielsa in charge Leeds will be able to exploit the whole of South America and with the 49'ers the North American market will be available too. Before the 2019/2020 season started Leeds played Man U in Perth Australia and Leeds had more fans there than Man U. So the presence of the club is huge there as well. Add to that the presence of some of our most notable African players and the clubs name is already known all over Africa. the potential has been there for years but we have never had an owner who has been able to leverage that, but we do now.

The cold hard facts about succeeding (being consistently top 4-6) in the Premier League. It's a shame that football's been allowed to come to this, but so has absolutely everything else. I personally think that it's ruined the game for good, but others will disagree because we now have previously impossible Dream Teams, etc, etc. Can Leeds United become one of those dream teams within the next decade? They've currently got the name, the manager, the charisma, the history, and a huge global following. But will those deep pockets come to Elland Road & truly give it a go? No one has the answer yet. So the question obviously can't be answered. English football has become something like American politics!

People have been saying that for 30 years about English football. The demand is insane. The number of league clubs, and big ones, we have in this country is pretty unique, allied with the fact that we share TV money equally so everyone can compete (unlike most other leagues where greedy big clubs swallow it all), plus the fact that English is the global language = more money. And more globalisation = more money. Americanisation and their disgusting brand of hypercapitalism is the only threat I see. As a Leeds fan, I don't want Americans involved in our club in any way. We are by far the biggest club in Birmingham - the second most populus city in the country and simply have a much bigger global fanbase than Leeds to boot. Look at Twitter and IG. We have 1.2m more followers than you on Twitter and twice the followers you have on IG. You spent 16 years bouncing between League 1 and the Championship though so you missed a lot of growth opportunities. Plus we have much richer owners who are marketing our club far better abroad. The facts are simply not on your side my guy.

@@danieldevine7216 I think the issue is that we play the same attacking football no matter who we play, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t but it will keep us in this league. We’ve won the same amount of games as Chelsea and Arsenal. Most teams come up from the championship, sit 11 men behind the ball and still get beat 3,4,5-0. Also, the team we have got apart from Rodrigo and raphina was the same players who were struggling mid table in the championship! Bielsa is such an underrated man manager and it’s never been seen at this level in the premier league 🤷🏼‍♂️

Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds....Everyone calm down. Yes, they’re doing well, yes they’re definitely a transformed outfit. But, let’s be realistic, it’s only a good run. Why do people keep bringing up their past history achievements and say they deserve to be back, I disagree. They’re not any different than any other promoted club . I’m a football realist, well done to them . I just don’t get the “our club and fans are more loyal than other fans”...If they stay up, great but if they get relegated, too bad. Calm down everyone.
