    Thank you! I’ve recently had a stroke and my brain becomes scrambled easily and my house needs some love. I can follow a list and get things done but it isn’t intuitive for me to hop up and clean and I’m sure my hubby will help me make the list. You are a blessing

    I just wanted to tell you thanks again. I finally got my dining room all in order on Friday and it has stayed that way!! I've had to remind my son a few times to pick something up because we both had to break our habit of just leaving something on and around the table. In fact, today we ate Sunday dinner at the table together! I'm still working on the final plan, but I've got a good start on it and so far everything is still in place since Friday. (I used my day off to really get things done).

      It feels so good to look around the house and still see it clean and things in order! The dining room table was a place that overwhelmed me because it kind of became a dumping ground.

    Had a cleaning system years ago. Now Its just Mondays a deep clean after everyone goes off to work and toilets on hair washing day right before I get in the shower. I tidy up the rest of the week here and there. Tuesdays I just veg. from my Monday cleaning. I had my home at one time sectioned off for certain days. Now it's the dirty work on the days I wash my hair. Love you Amy. I'll check out this system of yours see if it's for me. Who knows maybe it will help me. Thank you, Sweet lady

    Thank you!!! My life, therefore my families life, has changed drastically in the last 12 yrs. We have lived in 4 different places based on my health and the health of my child as well. My daughter & I both have conditions which affect our memory. There are days that I struggle just to get up & moving each day, this way there can be a list for someone jumping in to help on a short term basis and/or forgive yourself if something doesn't get done one day. Thank you for your insight. Have a great day.

    I absolutely love this video! Our children are grown and gone until last year when the youngest moved home to attend college. I really need to get this implemented soon so he can help do a lot more. He’s the worst at making a mess and leaving it. But he’s going to college with a full schedule and working too and doing a great job so I let a lot of it slide but I’m going to do this!!! I’m going to listen to this again when I start my list because you mention areas that I forget about until it’s a have to clean. Thanks!!!!

    OK...I am going to skip this one...but, I think this is a wonderful idea...especially for young families. This isn't because I know everything, because I don't...it's only because I am 70 years old and I'm not able to do a lot of things...but, I am trying to find ways I can do more. I am in the middle of cleaning out my kitchen cupboards right now...I found that video the best one for me...because it's something I really needed to see someone do, to get the "get up and go" to start mine...I did and I ordered some containers too...had to...you were so right about combining partially filled bags together...so, now I am waiting on more containers and I am busy washing all that I have here too...thanks to you, Amy!! Blessings, love and hugs to you all too.💖🙏💖

  • @laurielyon1892
    @laurielyon1892 Před 5 lety +2

    I really needed this video. I have tried to implement something like this but have failed. My worst room is always my dining room. My adult son is so bad about just dropping things on the table, putting his clothes/jackets on my chairs-when his bedroom is right next to the dining room. On the other side of the dining room is the bathroom and we have a drop place from the bathroom that we can put dirty clothes down that goes right down to where I sort the laundry. So there is really no reason for it. The table has just become a dropping ground for things because he eats in his bedroom lots of times and we are bad about eating in front of the television, and my son, (who is 25) needs a better system for his bills/mail also so that it isn't all over. That is one room I plan to get in shape this weekend. Thanks for the motivation!

    Amy, I love what you are doing but please remember that 2/3 of the children in the US are being raised by Grandparents. If you could think about us and how not to feel dead by the end of the day, help. Shortcuts help, guide to getting children to help would help, I know that there are books out there but I believe in you and would trust your help. Anything would be grateful. I have a chronic illness that is very unpredictable so for instance I can just be knocked out for a day or more and just manage to feed myself or be too fatigued to do any extras above the minimum. I also spend quite a few weekends away so don't always have these to catch up in (I also work). Any suggestions or ideas on how I can adapt this to make it more flexible?

      If you break it up in your daily cleaning then if you miss Thursday this week...you are going to get to it next Thursday for sure....we do ours all Monday thru Friday. If you feel good one day start on those extra monthly chores..don't wait so that if you do have a bad day... you will have already gotten them done. :). You got this

    How do you keep up when you are super tired? I have what doctors call chronic fatigue and it’s so frustrating when I barely make it through homeschool and I’m just exhausted. I have tried so many different schedules and routines and I’m going to try this one and do my very best but I’d love to know how you persisted through seasons of exhaustion. I know the Lord has me in this place in this season for a reason but it’s not always easy that’s for sure. I’m sure as a mom of 10 you know what that complete exhaustion feels like more than many.
