    I installed mine in 2017 Silverado 5.3L. After 2 months of use, no engine light, not a single issue. The only time you get any issues if you have other problems or MAF sensor was faulty to begin with. Also my truck has Borla free flowing exhaust and true AFE cold air intake and computer still compensated for all the upgrades. I tried the MAF sensor first with stock air box, and again, after 2 weeks, no issues of any kind. Ran smooth either way. It’s all about the mechanical condition of your vehicle.

      I actually was given the wrong type from Amazon I checked the fit it was for a older 5.7 truck

    I understand what you're saying. A lot of people don't realize when there's a significant difference in air flow fuel or timing the computer is going to throw at Anza. My 8.1 does have even though it's basic but it does have a custom tune so I'm pretty sure it's going to work I started porting and polishing my factory mess there but of course I slipped and hit one of the diodes so I wouldn't mind buying this from you instead of it sitting under your bed and it may benefit both of us

    On basically any job where you're disconnecting major mechanical functioning sensors and replacing them or doing any servicing that may trigger a fault code your battery should be disconnected. Anytime your battery is disconnected and reconnected your ecu goes through a relearn process.. not disconnecting your battery will cause night and day difference

    • @fbodyfanatics1997

      Battery was disconnected for over an hour ran fine for 2 weeks then started throwing codes for running lean anytime I replace a sensor or throttle body I disconnect the battery

    I used my original, I just removed the screen and it increased HP and torque and no check engine light.

  • @BrianReno-qy9wk
    @BrianReno-qy9wk Před 6 měsíci

    It basically has more precision at reading mass air flow and no screen to restrict air. So im sure it will give you 5hp somewhere in the powerband you have to disconnect the battery otherwise it still has the factory presets in the ecu that will just run off the jet. No screen gives you the problems. You also need headers or hiflow cat ...

    Same issue here. Held it for a couple years and thiught about putting it in this week. Hiwever most likely it will giv the error some im lookong into why b4 putting it back

  • @dexstarksmarforcom7616

    I already have a tune for my Steeda intake and I threw one on my car and got a few codes for running lean and I threw 5 gallons of E85 in the tank and I love it

      I'm gonna be installing the one from granatelli motorsports soon that one is calibrated to run 10 percent richer to compensate for the extra air I'm really curious to see if it actually works

  • @ronkirkham3410
    @ronkirkham3410 Před rokem

    They really need to be a believe it's a great product because of the lack of restriction. But I agree with everyone they absolutely should put on there that a custom tune is pretty much required. They're not doing that because they don't want to lose sales so it is what it is

    U said other maf sensor is tuned richer? What is difference between this and stock is this leaner or richer than stock?

    • @fbodyfanatics1997
      @fbodyfanatics1997  Před 6 měsíci

      The jet performance one claims it changes the injector pulses and ignition timing however it's not tuned for cold air intakes it will run too lean with any type of aftermarket intake

  • @angeldejesus65
    @angeldejesus65 Před 2 lety

    I agree, same thing i have posted... jet should have put details on the sensor amd tell people about the tune.. i hav hondata this week yet that sensor has no info on air flow /bar etc...

    Did you do the reset per instructions on utube by jet performance? The reset worked on mine.
    Disconnect the battery for a bit and reconnect and it will work.

      strange.. I have a 2015 and the one I bought I never have had issues.
      Is you cold air intake an oiled one? I have noticed when I clean mine I don't over oil it. These have a tendency to still allow oil to get into the intake tubes. So just a thought there.
      Good luck man.

    would a trifecta tune work with it? i mean i ordered it anyways because i need a MAP sensor.... so regardless of if it does better or not itll at least give me stock performance, slapping this on my v6 3.6L that i think i fucked the MAP sensor by using MAP sensor cleaner

    • @fbodyfanatics1997
      @fbodyfanatics1997  Před 2 lety

      No a trifecta tune is still just a generalized tuner and can only change basic settings with that sensor you would need a custom tune that can change the air fuel ratio
