Today we're looking at 5 ways to light your CZcams studio setup. The cool thing is that you can start with only ONE LIGHT to make it look professional. So, we're starting with only one light and will end up with five. I've also set up a b camera showing everything I'm doing, so that you can see the difference between each setup and easily replicate it at home.
Enjoy! ;)

I have watched this video over 12 times! lol My lights just came in and when I tell you this is the most helpful video thus far!! My new setup now is LIT! Literally!! 🤣
🤣😝💡💡💡
The best lighting video I watched on CZcams ! Honestly this is very well explained and looks pro and cinematic ! Thanks for this great tuto
Perfect. I loved that
Hey Paul! Thanks for sharing all of these tips, very useful as always
Thanks for letting me know :)
Thanks so much for the video Paul! through it was really helpful to see how you worked, I've been working on my studio lighting and the idea of mounting the lights high and using more, especially lighter (coloured) ones made a huge difference. Cheers mate.
Thanks for your feedback, Ralph! :)
Hi Paul You have got a beautiful setup. Its so interesting. Thanks for the video.
Just loved your video Man you clear my concepts in just minutes
Of all the "build the lighting" videos I've watched (Dozens easily), this was thee BEST one hands down. Seeing it through the steps, and taking a bold choice in colored lighting was gorgeous! INSTANT subscribe, INSTANT +1 Like.
One of the few times on CZcams that the thumbnail told no lies haha. Looking forward to more of your content!
Really awesome. You cleared light concept
Now this, is a perfect example of how you do a video. (a) tell us (b) show us (c) keep it short & simple. Thank you, Mr Heimlund.
Glad you liked it! Thanks 🙏🏼
Hands down the best lighting set up tutorial ever. You are intentionally wonderful
Yes Yes Yes!!!! This video was so helpful!! I am going to invest in the background lighting because that just changed the game!!!
Glad you found the video helpful! :)
I've been struggling with the right lighting setup for hours and this instantly fixed it! I was putting my main light too far away, once I moved it closer and put the hair light in place it turned out perfect. Thank you.
Great to hear!
My key light keep washing out my backlight. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? When I lower the key light, its too dark in the room. When I make it lighter, it washes out the background
The main light used here is a nit expensive. What could be a good alternative? Thanks !
You just made is look so easy and easy it is to understand. I really appreciated the part where you mentioned that one doesn't have to get all those lights in one shot. Upgrade slowly as you grow. Thank you.
You’re welcome! And thank YOU ;)
Amazing! It's exactly the video I need
Nice video. Really liked the step by step way you went through the light setup!

Thanks! Glad you found it helpful 😁
This is badass man. Thanks for the ideas!
Dude, this is exactly the video I was after. Good on you and CZcams for having it come up first for my search query. For my purposes I really like how compact, punchy and versatile those RGB type lights are. Don't really want the bulk of the key light you have; what are your thoughts on using a RGB light for the key? Can I diffuse the RGB easily or would I just dim it down. Thanks heaps! Great content. Subbed.
Also wondering if there are mount adaptors so I could use the RGB type lights on GoPro mounts. To avoid perhaps having so many stands.
Hey! Thanks man!
I don’t recommend using a pocket rgb light as a key light. It’s just not bright enough. Get yourself a small key light, like the Sokani (check my review) with a small softbox.
GoPro use a different kind of mount, which is more like a clip on. So you can’t really use pocket rgb lights with a GoPro mount.
However, light stands on Amazon are not too expensive ;)
Thank u for sharing this 👌🏽

@@PaulHeimlund you're welcome 😁
Unfortunately the SL60W didn't work for me as my boom mic picks up the fan noise. Any recommendations for that?
