most likely they where! BUT you never know the 1st may have been a blue cheese and the 2nd could be a fry sauce I.E. ketchup and mayo BUT yes the 2nd is most likely a honey mustard kind of an industry standard for chicken tenders.

pjorya, I would believe you are correct; the white sauce was ranch and the 2nd light yellow sauce had to be honey mustard, I've had that dish before and it was always honey mustard, of course if ordering online they give you a lot of choices in dipping sauces.

fyi about a couple of potato products... lots of potato based products actually use mashed and powered potato to form into shapes then partially cooked in order to make it look like it was cut from the potato instead... with the skin on, then you know it was actually cut from the potato and not made by mash. Also, homemade mash potatoes that have 'chunks' of potatoes still in it shows that it was mashed by hand, thus made from whole potatoes and not rehydrated from powered mash potato...

Blue cheese is the default in most places and generally you have to ask for ranch. It's hard to tell because they look so similar. Applebee's is decent but hate to tell you this, some of their food is microwaved and not actually cooked in the back. Applebees is great to go to after a night out with a group of friend. Also they have pretty good drinks.

I can see why the famous named national chains might be a target location. But the 'Mom and Pop' small businesses are usually much better quality, if they haven't all been eradicated by the big chains. But this is happening all over the USA. The main difference is whether the recipes were concocted in a kitchen to get only the best flavor as possible, or a lab to save as much money on ingredients as possible.

I haven't been to applebees in a few years, but they provide what you'd expect. I never had anything I didn't like there. Funny that today, Applebees is right around the price point of fast food. That was unheard of just a few years ago.

I love how the guy in like all of these videos is like "Ohhhh, that's got a bit of spice in it doesn't it?" to like the most mundane things. It just plays into the UK ppl not being used to spices in their foods stereotype. I can't remember what video it was but he commented about the french fries having seasoning on them and how good it was, and it reminded me of every "Fish & Chips" picture/video I've ever seen of just like completely raw half cooked steak fries with absolutely nothing on them not even salt.

One thing I noticed that you did, James, was double-dipping the sauce. After dipping a wing and taking a bite, you dipped the same wing a second time. Here in the US, it's considered rude and, potentially, unsanitary. A lot of people are fine with sharing the sauce, as long as long what is dipped has not already had a bite taken out of it. It's especially considered bad manners here in the south.

I used to love Applebees, but they're not so great anymore. It's basically bar food, but not the best. Their pasta is okay, very limited selection though and their desserts and flavored lemonades are good. Burgers and salads are alright. The boneless wings (honey bbq), brew pub pretzels and the mozzarella sticks are my go-to choices. The wings come with either ranch or bleu cheese and the other sauce I think is honey mustard but it was hard to tell. Did the server not ask you what dipping sauces you wanted? They're supposed to. Also the wings are finger food, no silverware needed. Glad you enjoyed!
