The Genshin Impact 3.8 release date is July 5 2023. The 3.8 banners will include Klee, Eula, Kokomi and Wanderer! Then Genshin Impact 4.0 aka Fontaine release date is mid-August!
This means that we have 6 weeks to make some last minute preparations for Fontaine in 4.0!

I would argue against new players rushing to get their AR up too far without developing their team.
If i managed to get to ar 54 with dogshit artifacts then everyone can do it.

If you just dont feel like playing at some day, just put your resin into condensed resin at the crafting table. So u can do two days worth of resin in just one day.

3:00 I think the 'building strong DPS/team" might actually be better left for when we know what we're dealing with. Or you may find yourself having invested resources into something you don't need. I think Abyss is a decent indicator. You always want to be able to beat Abyss; if you can do it already, you're likely ready for Fontaine too. And if you can't, using your resources to improve on that might be better idea than getting ready for the unknown.
On topic of Archon and Story quests, my recommendation is always to do them but not overdo them. If you just do one quest every one to three days, you will catch up and it will not feel as daunting as if you try to speedrun a bunch of them all in one day, then get burned out.
For me personally, exploring new region always starts with the archon quest that sends me there. Going there blind and only lighting up parts of the map where the quest invited me comes with sense of adventure. And only after the quest ends, I go and unlock the rest of statues and teleports. As you said before, exploring is a thing to do when there is nothing else to do.
Tip for ALL players: Lvl up reputations/ or get all the hydro oculi before 4.1 expansion, trust me it’s better to get that specific area done instead of scrambling around when another new region pops out the next year.
Edit: *before ANY region expansion, not just 4.1 specifically

i've been an active high level genshin player for a while now, and i just like watching simpler guides from time to time XD makes me forget about the pain of artifact farming and more on the joy i felt when i first started playing
Something i suggest for the last week/days of the patch (you can also do it with any patch aswell, not just this one) is to condense your resin and just go farm a little ofr the enemy drops you're low on
I took a break for like a month, So i know I need to do the new archon quest, but other than that, I'm AR 60, already have every character in game other than Ayato, Klee, and Cyno and a lot of them I already have built (Hu Tao can sneeze and take out an army XD). As a side note, I would also unlock the teleport waypoints so you can get around easier as well as knock out your reputation quests in any new regions. Don't rush too much and make sure you build at least a team, then work on at least one more as you go up in rank. But archon quests aren't going anywhere. Only thing I would worry about is trying to get to a high enough rank for events because those leave and never come back, often missing out on a really good event weapon. I still cry over the festering desire 😅

It took me a week and a half to catch up from the chasm quest to the recent archon quest lmao
This just reminded me I have cyno and tighnari. And it also taught me that I should have another team💀 I only rely on kazuha because he's my dps.

Navia is literally one of the only fontaine characters i want, like when she was first leaked, i farmed 175 wishes. Then i wasted them, but now i have 70 fr. Im SOOOO excited for her
I think farming resin-efficient artifact domain is one of the best things you can do if you're already at higher AR and have enough good characters. By resin-efficient artifact domains, I mean domains that drop artifact that many characters can use, just like Emblem-Shimenawa domain. We will get new strongbox next patch so the bad artifacts are not wasted.
(Provided you got a good stock of exp books and mora)

Im so excited for Fontaine but I'm still clearing the inazuma archon quest 😢. I keep getting distracted by puzzles and Sakura tree upgrading and it has such long world quests omfhfhd.
Oof yes but they give good drops
Just remember you can do world quests and exploration whenever you want whereas archon quests lock your progression through the main story and events and stuff
@@aviezer_who_drinks_seltzer371 no your right, Im just incredibly squirrel brained so genshin is a minefield of distraction. My last world quest is orobashi legacy (nearly done with it) before continuing the archon quest, but only because it's annoying to try and finish it with lighting hitting me the whole time.

I definitely need the exploration part 😅 I’m an AR55 f2p who just unlocked Enkanomiya today, but I’m done with all the archon quests and the summer event. I just hope to finish the Tatarasuna and Jeht quests before dedicating my account to exploring, I’ve built up some good teams for each region and can’t wait to go. I want Zhongli, Neuvillette, and a few other upcoming characters so I need all the primos I can get.
I can’t remember if you said this but I remember hearing that it’s recommended to explore Inazuma first and then Sumeru, Liyue, and Mondstadt but what should I do with the Chasm and Enkanomiya?
Do all the world quests in each area. That should get you to at least 60% exploration. Then explore using treasure compass

Yeah, i wont be searching for the remaining 130 dendroculus. It took me 13 hours to find the last 5 remaining electoculi with the interactive map.

I've been playing for over a year. I know how things work by now. I'm on guaranteed for my next one, and I might pull lyney depending on if I like him in the trial. He'd be a great character to start with, because of his exploration talent at the very least. Finding fontaine specific drops is really nice I can tell you that. Especially if you have friends who need help finding stuff later on.
Also, he's pretty unique and I like cats. And I need a 5 star pyro dps. It would do me good.
I'm saving mora/xp from the battle pass, and I'm doing domains to find xiangling drops before fontaine hits. If I don't find anything, I will have artifact fodder for my new characters to use as level up materials for artifacts.
Nothing feels worse than having no artifacts to feed into new artifacts for new characters.
reminder: TAKE YOUR TIME BITCHES. i suffered from HEAVY burnout, and i was making perfect progress. ar 29, 2 months of playing. then, almost, if not over a year of burnout started. and now, i'm back better than ever. i'm taking my time, exploring, building dps + supports, etc

His shield will help you a lot, and he can be farmed in Liyue, which is not locked behind AR rank unlike all the upcoming characters.
Im an in between. Ive maxed out everything i xan do in the game so when i finish an update i just sto playing till the next update. Im not interested in building new teams. I have 2 and that all i e cared to do in over a year 😂😂

@@FacolarsThat’s only about a month away. It may feel like forever for old players but when you’re new with dozens of different quests piling up, a month can go by instantly (As long as you don’t speedrun everything).
The hype is here because of leaks and character drip marketing has been released + livestream so naturally this will hype people up
