- The cries of grief echoed through a village in Ukraine as a young victim of the war was laid to rest. Video of Liza Dmytrieva, 4, was taken by her mom and posted to Instagram just moments before the little girl’s death. They were walking through the town of Vinnytsia when officials say a Russian cruise missile hit. Liza’s body was found next to the stroller. Her mother was found alive, but with her leg severed. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

This is so sad. They haven’t even told the mother that child is gone, yet they already held the funeral for her. It’s horrible knowing your child is gone, but can’t imagine the feeling of not going to your little girls funeral.

I have a younger sister, who's 4, and she is so precious to me- I can't even imagine life without her. I feel sick watching this, seeing the pain everyone went through. May this poor child rest in heaven.
The fact her mom wasn't even at her funeral and wasn't told her daughter is dead just makes this even more sad
The emotions the mom will really have after hearing about her daughter’s death can really harm her health like ending up having a heart attack or stroke or depression.

Actually, if they did tell the mother, she could suffer from broken heart syndrome, which then could kill her, or at least make her very ill.

Ya she might die from a heart attack they did that to my grandmother her youngest son passed and the doctors didn't want her to know because she might break down in the hospital and get worse when she was getting somewhat better
Well if the mother is in the hospital, that would affect so much her health, or her recovery process. This happend to me as well. My whole family was in an accident many years ago. My father died 3 days after the accident but I found out only on my last day of being in the hospital, which was 3-4 months later. They did kinda prepared me for the worst during that time, so when I found out it was less of a shock to me.
This is absolutely insane! She died at at such young age, this needs to stop! Rest In Peace Liza, my prayers go out to you all and your family.

But at the same time, I think it’s reasonable to deduct that the news would kill her. I lost (six years ago) this little boy I knew, had a heart condition, and he died. And I was struck with grief I’ve never felt before. And that was for a little boy I shared no blood with. I couldn’t imagine the shock and heart attack that would ensue finding out I survived but my precious daughter didn’t. Rest now, little one. Rest in paradise.

My first born Son and my Fiance died from Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. It was an accident and I almost died with them. Burying my baby was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. wym "something is wrong with this story," it's pretty damn simple to understand... the mother was gravely wounded (to the point where she lost both of her legs) and is in serious, borderline life threatening condition. if you give her news like this before she's stabilized, she could go into immediate cardiac arrest from heartbreak (yes, that is a thing that can happen) or unintentionally put herself into shock, both of which would kill her.

The way the mother doesn’t even know is breaking my heart even more. I know they’re doing it thinking it’s for the best but something tells me it that it is way worse telling her after the fact instead of immediately..she even missed her own daughters funeral. I’m sure she would’ve rather died knowing out of shock than live with the grief and knowing she wasn’t told when it happened but hopefully she’ll be alright.
