I think Andrew's Spider-Man has more potential for a universe than Tobey or Tom. Such as spin-offs and crossovers. Miles Morales and Black Cat fit this universe perfectly.

Yeah the Spider-Man copied a bunch of moves and plot points from the Andrew Garfield movies. There is the one where you webzip over a building while running on the walls (straight up copied from the opening scene of TASM 2), then you can webzip across pipes and under water tanks (copied from the finale of this movie, where Peter launches from inside a tower).
However, this could be a great (but minor) mechanic in some scenario which they haven't implemented. Assuming the enemies on the edge are alerted to your presence while you are web crawling on a wall, using that same move, you can at least instant takedown one of them. Currently, in the game, you can do stealth takedown only which does not work if the enemies know where you are.
Also there's been a glitch which happened a couple of times where a bunch of enemies on a ledge of a wall shot me through the wall on which I was webcrawling quite near them. (playing on PC)

Unpopular opinion but I think Andrews movie's were awesome! Yes they had their flaws but overall their really great! Also Andrew way of fighting is so iconic! He fights and moves like an actual spider. It's one of the traits that make his Spider-Man special.
I'm glad people are coming back to his previous movies and giving them the praise they deserve! I'm so glad Andrew got his redemption in NWH. If marvel ever decides to continue his movies I'd so be up for it😄

Yes some could say that it's not accurate going off of the comics but that doesn't change the fact that it's nice in it's own way. I literally couldn't stop smile every time he said something. He just gives off a "great guy" kinda of vibe.

@@twoxR me too! A lot of the critics were harsh because the "writing" of the movies were terrible. If his moves were handled properly there would've been an amazing spider-man 3 or 4 way before no way home. Andrew's universe has so much potential but it was just not used properly. And it wasn't fair that Andrew took most of the heat for how his movie's were written.
@Junaid Yes! I agree there's blame but throw at the person's who deserve it! For me it was Venom 2: Let there be Carnage. I personally didn't like how it was done. But I loved all the actors and actresses. Their performance was beautiful.

My biggest problem with the movie: Lizard didn't have the lab coat. That is literally the one thing that sets him apart from every other generic lizard/croc/dinosaur comic villain. It not only is his signature look but it also shows that this creature was once a scientist and is very intelligent as well as being a savage beast.
Also, the face. They could've used this Uncanny Valley-esque monstrosity as the mid point of his mutation, and save the full-on crocodile form for the finale, or maybe No Way Home.
miy biggest problem is that this spiderman sucks at fighting he lost all his fights and only won because of help, tom and tobey where much better.

Tobey takes on this more brawler fighting style where he uses his punching and kicking mostly and all that but and rarely uses webs for fighting. Garfield just spams web shooters and webs up the lizard not really a fight imo
Not gonna lie, in my opinion the school fight has the best comic accurate representation of how spidey fights, improvised moves, supported by webs and using his iconic agility to dodge strikes

I feel like I see people saying it’s poorly written just cuz other people say it’s poorly written, but never really give a good reason. Sure it has a different take on the origin story, but the characters are developed well and their motivations make sense, the villain is set up well (I particularly like the scene where Peter goes to Oscorp to ask how one would track a reptile), the stakes feel real (not manufactured), the love story is very well done, the setup of situations makes sense and has a logical flow, and there is a great balance of action and plot. To say it’s not the best the story it conceivably could have been is one thing, but to say it is poorly written is just not true at all. Not to mention all the amazing things that make up for any plot issues such as the amazing action and CGI, and Andrew Garfield’s fantastic acting. I’m not even truly speaking from nostalgia here bc I grew up with the Raimi trilogy, but I still think this is the superior live action Spider-man adaptation. And this has nothing to do with TASM 2, which I agree had issues, but I still really enjoyed that film as well.

The Sam Raimi Spidermans are my personal favourite but I do love The choreography of Andrews spider man, and the TASM1 suit. the more dark and gritty aesthetic of these movies fit Andrews spider like a glove in my opinion, TASM movies were awesome and I feel like we need a sequel, if you asked me about my opinion on the spiderman movies, I would have to say that the Raimi trilogy was the best, I just feel that Toby absolutely nailed the performance of peter, not to say the others are bad, but I just feel like Toby pretty much perfectly portrayed the nerdy anti-social Peter Parker that we all know and love, he's supposed to be ignored by almost ever body in his school, yet Tom's spiderman gets invited to a house party by a girl that barely knows him, and Andrews spiderman portrays the broken and suffering Peter Parker so great, I personally love all the spiderman movies, I just think tobeys trilogy did more things right than the others, not to mention they carried my childhood.
The CGI in this is done very well. Why can’t MCU do this good? Also the CGI in the Raimi trilogy (my favorite and my childhood) they also done that really well too.

Why is it that I find the CGI work done on Lizard in TASM better than the the one in NWH? Lol
He looked so cheesy, especially the scenes when he's in Strange's dungeon, mainly the movements of his mouth.
Even Tobey's spiderman suit from 2002 looks better than his version in NWH, marvel did a horrible job with the CGI, they have the resources and the time, but they couldn't do it properly.

Come back after NWH to see if the fighting style of Tobey and Andrew are indeed different. Tobey focuses more on combat like hand to hand against lizard while Andrew focuses to be more agile and most likely play with his web more
Tobey’s Spidey relies on his physical abilities and skills like his strength and hand-to-hand combat.
Andrew’s Spidey is the most acrobatic with spider-like movements in his fights and is great at dodging.
Tom’s Spidey is a unique mix of both, and has the potential to be better.
Love how all of the cinematic Spideys have their own style.
