is granny a Filipina?
Nari did so good! Only 5 months old and she behaved better than many adults! Huge shout out to awesome Nanna as well!
I didn’t get any clips of the crying freaking out part cuz I was busy crying and freaking out myself 😭😭😭
@@jeenie.weenie aww freaking out is perfectly FINE for BOTH of you.
@@jeenie.weeniethat’s ok. You needed to focus on Nari. We all know what crying babies look like anyway 😊
@@jeenie.weenieI feel ya, I remember flying with my oldest when she was 5 months old, she would have cried the whole time (and guaranteed I would have been crying too), except that she fell asleep while breastfeeding! She was much harder to fly with at 18 months old when she wanted to be running up and down the aisles 😭
@@jeenie.weeniemy niece, whose husband is now a commercial pilot instead of a military pilot, loves to tell the story of when her oldest blew out her diaper and they ran around Vegas airport trying to find a clean onesie😅
Good times
Baby girl did great for her first flight. I remember one flight there was a 3 year old running up and down the aisle. Everyone wanted to play with her. She was just adorable.
came back a few weeks ago from a trip to australia on my last flight back home there was an adorable toddler(must have been around 2)just toddling up and down the aisle everybody was saying hi and playin peek a boo with him; super well behaved didn't cry once and seemed to be havin a lot of fun just being on a plane. Its all about makin them comfortable and findin what works for them and there wont be a single tear shed or almost.

We took our 1 year old on a 24-hour flight from Sydney to Milan. He did so well. He managed to sleep for practically the whole flight and loved his bassinet. Shout out to Qatar airways who also gave him toys.

@@jeenie.weenieWait 15 babies?!
15!! That’s amazing!! Kuddos to granny
@@jeenie.weenieI think we need more stories on granny!
@@jeenie.weenieWow! 15 babies? She is Literally a professional mother. My grandmother was the same. She had 10. She was the baby whisperer. By the way, Nari is soo cute! She looks like your hubs but with your skin tone. Or, maybe she looks like you as a baby? Lol. Either way, she is very blessed to have you and Johnny as her mom and dad. Thanks for entertaining us and teaching us about whatever interests you! You're so much fun to watch!😀🎉
We took our daughter on a plane 2 times from Seattle to Taiwan when she was a baby. 4 months and the other time when she was 1 1/2 years old. 12 hour flight!!! Lol surprisingly after giving her a big bottle of milk and the sound of the engines just knocked her out and she slept the whole flight! When she got older it was a bit of a challenge but! We still got it to work! Flight attendants for Eva airlines were awesome at helping us keeping our daughter entertained and happy!
This is every flying parents dream lol. Sounds like your baby is a professional 😅
i was taken on a 13 hour flight every year to taiwan since i was a baby. no idea how i behaved on the plane tho.
THIS IS SO NICE TO HEAR
A niece, the last time she flew with her kids when the youngest was a toddler, his batteries ran out on his Kindle or tablet. And the guy behind her gladly gave her his tablet and went to sleep just to keep the peace. She wanted to buy him a drink, but he slept the whole flight
TL;DR no offense
Small children (or babies) are literally more sensitive to everything. If descending is uncomfortable for you due to to the increasing cabin pressure, it's absolute hell for a young child.
Luckily, cabin pressure adjustment controls are a hell of a lot better now than they were in the 80s.
Congratulations on surviving! My first flight with my baby was a cross-country flight by myself. I was flying for a funeral and my partner couldn't get the time off of work. I had my baby, stroller, car seat, diaper bag, pumping bag, backpack for my things, and a checked bag because I had to bring all of the food, clothes, etc plus a travel bed for where we were staying. Plus, I had a plane change partway through 😭 The cabin crew of both my flights are what saved me! My first flight was delayed so I nearly missed my connection. When the crew member at the door saw me with all my bags, my baby strapped to the front of me, and sweat dripping down my face, she was so sweet and cleared a whole row for me and my baby to have to ourselves (the flight wasn't full, of course) and brought me some cold water. I still think about that and it's been years.
Best diaper bag packing tip I can give is to have smaller, themed bags inside your diaper bag, ie., a bag for diaper changes, a bag for food, a bag for toys, a bag for milk/drinking supplies. That way, when you need to grab something, you just grab that bag and you have everything you could need all together. Bonus, if your bag falls over and spills, you only have to grab a couple of bags rather than hunt down small, individual items.
Good luck on the way back!
Omg thanks for the tips!!!
Jeenie how did you guys meet?
That’s a great tip! Reduces the amount of larger bags and organizes everything which can reduce stress and anxiety amidst any chaos that might occur
@@jeenie.weenie how did you and your husband meet?
That is f'ing brilliant! Where were you when I was traveling with an infant? Oh right, traveling with an infant yourself and figuring all this out. Still, BRILLIANT!!!!
This was a memorable flight experience for Jeenie and us as well . Johnny's mother seems to have handled Nari well . Eagerly waiting for the return flight video with the updated packing list . 😊
I was supposed to come home earlier but granny wasn’t available and I said NOPE!!!! NOT DOING IT WITH YOU IM DELAYING MY TRIP HAHAHHA
@@jeenie.weeniePeople make MIL jokes, and a lot of people go through pure hell what there is, but there is nothing like a good one. My suegrita means the world to me, and in fact she's visiting the 🇺🇸 at the moment I (from 🇸🇻) and we hung out all afternoon. Bear in mind, her son and I aren't even together anymore - next spring will make a decade - and despite the fact there are no grandchildren to keep us together, we are bonded for life. Glad you've got a good one as well.
@@jeenie.weenie clever as always leaving nothing to chance . 🙂 . granny presence is imperative for Nari's flight plans . 🙂
No no nonononononononono
Lol i remeber an ex flight attendant here and I remember flying from Auckland to Abu Dhabi and the toddler was crying the whole flight time for 13-14 hours. It was the most chaotic flight i ever had been on. toddlers are the scariest creatures
I was on an 8 hours flight with a newborn. One of the worst day of my life 😂
@@bchpls24 I'm sure it was😭😭 kids are scary
And people in flight failed to understand what triggered and troubled the toddler.😢.
How does one even scream that long? Don't they get tired?
POOR THING !!! How can a toddler cry for 13 hours ommmmmg maybe they were in pain 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Nari is so cute I just wanna hug her 😭❤

Nari staring at you while you were talking on the plane is the cutest! Johnny's mom gets gold stars! Well done Weenie Fam!
Adorable! Absolutely adorable! One thing to consider, is bringing travel earplugs to give to passengers if Nari starts crying, since some people don't travel with noise cancelling headphones nor ear plugs.
GONNA DO THIS ON OUR WAY BACK THANK U
@@jeenie.weenieI'm a huge fan 💖🤩
As a mom myself, being well prepared, or, to be precise, overly prepared, is not because we're scared, but because we're trying our best not to be a burden or bother other people with "our problems". We moms just want to be smart, practical, and ready for any circumstances. Bless you Jeenie, baby Nari and fam❤❤❤❤❤
And it is sad that in the West too many people don't have tolerance for children. They're seen as trouble or possible trouble, like they were never a child themselves. I love cultures where people are not bothered by children and even help the parents if they need rescuing.
I can't tell you how quick a young child will be quiet if a stanger waves "hi" to them when they're giving their mom a hard time. The mom appreciates the distraction and quiet and it only takes a minute. The one who is most bothered by a child having a meltdown is the parent first and formost. Why do we have to make it even more difficult on parents?
I have 5 children and the most difficult part of raising them is the constant criticism and judgment from other adults.
@@AA123TDthat's rite, isn't? I do understand and totally agree 🙂👍💯❤❤❤❤❤
Big thanks for granny and nari i love how nari treated very good and grandma just helped alot
She is so well behaved and granny is so wonderful!
Well done to the parents too. 🥰
I know the feeling too its very overwhelming when your child cries and you feel like every eyes are on you like they trying to say it's my fault but hey you made it and it was a nice video and the baby was calm through the end she just an angel🥰🥰🥰
Nari really said “U think I’m not gonna cry cause you’re the crazy plane lady? I am the crazy plane BABY!” ✈️🤍
I’m crying with you, Nori is a doll. Just remember most of the people on that plane have been where you are at right now and totally understand ❤
Tip for next flight. Put on the noise cancelling headphone for babies and play baby songs.
My friend did this for her daughter when she was 6 months and first flight. She said it helped a lot because baby was calmer and no surprising noise startled her.

Your baby is so cute I can't 🥺
Nari is the cutest most adorable thing I’ve ever seen
Why is no one talking about Nari being the cutest ever! 😭 ✋
As a momma of older kids and now expecting my third, I can tell you you are doing great momma. And honestly moms of kids get it when your baby is crying. It’s hard because you really have tried everything and it’s scary and exhausting for them and they are just not having the plane. Whenever I am on a plane and hear a baby crying I wish I could do something for that family to help them. You and your little family are so cute, and i promise it will get easier. Just keep going. You got this ❤
Hopefully you do well 🤞

We took our 8 week old daughter from NY to Florida and I was worried. Baby just nursed and slept ~ wish I had known to relax myself😂. On our return flight we were bumped up to first class (first row) and upon getting up to exit after the flight, several guests were shocked to see that we had a tiny baby who never made a sound! She has always been a great flier ~ 🌸🌺💜🩷

Nari is just too cute! And it was great seeing grandma too! Well done, Jeenie!
Oh my goodness! Bless your heart! You did your best Mama. Grandma was definitely VIP as they always are 😊 When I heard you saying you were boarding first I was like “Jeenie Nooooooooo”! With babies who need to be walked around ( mine always did) we always boarded last and just went as fast as possible. Yes! The anxiety of packing for baby on the plane. What you didn’t need this time, you could need next time. It’s a bag of tricks Mama! You just never know. You guys have fun, be safe and can’t wait for next video. Also Johnny did amazing with all of his Dad jobs! 😊
That’s parenting for you. Planning as much as you can and just doing your best with whatever happens.

Well done! Our first trip with our 6 month old baby is when we were returning from China as we adopted her. And we had only been new parents for less than 2 weeks! Kumming to Shanghai to Tokyo to Los Angeles to Denver. Long trip but we all survived. She is now 27 years old and has flown hundreds of times as our family loves to travel!
Well done Jeenie!!
Surviving the first flight with a baby is such an achievement 🏆
One tip, you can have your husband and/grandma board first so they can bring in the luggage, pick seats, and all settled in while you hang back with baby. She won’t be cramped and hot waiting for all passengers to board.
This 👍🏻👍🏻
The way you saying "Our baby❤" melts my heart😢😊
Bravo for overcoming your fears! My son has had almost 20 flights so far (10 before the age of 3 including a few 10 hour+ long hauls). We always...always bought a seat for him and installed his car seat in it as soon as we boarded. A comfortable, familiar place that he's used to sleeping in proved the main trick for us. We followed the same schedule as at home including naps, etc. Always packed our own food for everyone, including applesauce pouches for take off and landing (when he was old enough - milk before). My husband always thought it such a pain to haul our travel car seat with us but no one ever complained when he was giggling and playing or sleeping the entire flight. Although when he was more of a toddler we let him out on our laps occasionally - involving mad games of peak a boo with the seat behind us.
The car seat is genius! Didnt know it was an option!
At the age of 3 long haul/10+ hours flights when I was 3 I never went on planes he went on one at 3???
Great job to the whole team! It takes a team!! I once traveled england to LA with 3 littles (age 4, 2, 7months) nursing and pregnant! My husband was working out of town for the summer so i went home for help. I had a trail of friendly passengers lugging my gear (ands kids!?) On and off the plane!! 😮😂
The baby is so cute and seeing the granny with the baby is so cuuuute as well.
Awesome. Grandparents are a blessings. Good lessons for all parents
wait a min you left your flight attendant job?
I also went in my first flight at 5 months old! I have new empathy for my parents haha. Especially doing this 18 years ago and without a helpful grandparent with them! 😅
Love how you stopped filming to take the time to tend to Nari instead of filming❤ shows how much you care for her.
It was quite the experience for Nari, a longer travel. But now you have a video to share as she gets older. A great mommy & me moment. You have a beautiful family and it’s so cool that your in law is so helpful (I send her Blessings & 💐, great job!) See you at your next video 🫶🏆😇
When my daughter, infant grandson flew to visit my father after my mom passed we paid for a seat for my grandson. The reason was bc it safer than holding him in case of turbulence and I wasn't taking any chances. I'm surprised as a passed flight attendant you didn't do that. Have to say my grandson was a trooper and slept through most of flight.
With three adults traveling they may not have been able to get seat for baby.
Aww the baby's so cute
Yay you all made it ❤❤❤ thank you for sharing your journey with us. I hope Nari has a better flight next time!

I'm sure you are more compassionate for parents whose kids were crying when you were a flight attendant. Parents literally try everything from keeping their baby crying. For others it's just a little inconvenient but for the parents it's sooo very embarrassing. You still did a great great job and covered every base possible. It's just that when it's not 'your' kid it's easy to judge others.
When I had kids, I felt so bad for having judged parents in the past. Sometimes you try literally everything to get your kid to calm down, and nothing works, and the people staring daggers at you just make it 10x worse 😭 I'm sorry, parents that I judged! I get it now!
@@OldTinLizzy same . It'd be a hecka lot easier if they start a family section in commercial planes. And a private section for the snobby elitists with no kids(just kidding😅). And people who want privacy can pay more and if they're sitting in the cheaper family section they don't get to complain about the noise!😌🤷🏻♀️
@@binteq a kids section would be so amazing! They have cry rooms at church, why not on planes, amiright?? And the Karens can pay extra to be seated away from it 😆
@@OldTinLizzy yep, exactly💯
Great job mama. First time flying with a baby is such a stressful experience! But you've now handled it, learned from it, survived it, and are prepared for next time. If moms got Girl Scout-style badges for achievements, flying with an infant would definitely be one!!
I flew with a Japanese airline with my baby. We had the flight from the US to Malaysia. We had made sure to book a baby meal for the entire flight. The flight attendants refused to give my baby any food because somehow it wasn't marked 😢. I called so many times to confirm before we flew. Poor baby was hungry for 7 hour flight. I can't believe how by the book the flight attendants were even though it was clearly a mistake.
Ohhh so it's the SWALLOWING that pops the ears. My parents always had my sister and I chew gum on planes (when we were old enough, obviously! Just to be clear because this is the Internet: DO NOT LET BABIES CHEW GUM!!) But I always thought it was the CHEWING that popped my ears. That's cool to know, thank you Jeenie!
my parents do too we have smth chewy and sometimes it hurts so bad 😭 but i am going on a 4 hour flight in July so im ready! glad it wasn’t just me! 😅
@victoriaxplayz I totally get what you mean haha
Interesting story: one time, on a flight back home when I was maybe in 5th grade, one of my ears *REFUSED TO POP for like a WEEK!*
Like, NOTHING I did would fix it (and I did chew gum on the plane!). Then it just *MAGICALLY and RANDOMLY* popped one day at school
I was legitimately juuuust starting to wonder if that was now my life 😂😅
Thank god it happened when I was coming BACK from vacation, though lol!
