Confession- Usually when they are interviewing guests, I only watch that podcast clip once. But I lost count on how many times I rewatch clips where it’s just the 3 of them chatting, bickering and insulting one another 🤣

Conan towards the end knew he struck gold with his Young Conan voice lol. He loved how that came out and kept repeating it. I was laughing my ass off in the shower listening to this.
Fun fact: In the previous podcast, Jordan Schlansky said he was Conan's food taster in Japan because Conan was a picky eater who won't eat everything on the omakase (Japanese course menu).

One of the funniest voices of all time. 😂 We need a cartoon series about Conan’s childhood “3rd from the top and 4th from the bottom“
And this is why you have to listen to every episode. Regardless of the guest or topic, out of nowhere, Conan will suddenly go a HILARIOIUS riff about the most random thing and leave you crying. I was listening while getting ready in the morning and was just doubled over cry-laughing. "Faather!"

As the 3rd Irish Catholic person of 5 kids, I fully acknowledge that this is the closest Conan has ever come to discussing his real feeling on the podcast. Matt had it right when he discussed pity- it sucks and Conan is nice not to blame his parents outright

Oh man, this was great. And I don't think it was a prepared bit either. He just created it out of thin air on the spot. In general, a few of those intro bits are some of the best comedy bits I 've ever seen. My favorite one is the one in which he described how he wearing orthotics, but he's still a sexual threat.
I would love to have Conan's parents on the show one time and watch Conan perform this kind of shtick and their reactions.

Hilarious run!....Yeah, my father didn't know anything about what I liked or didn't like, either. This was across the board. Not what hobbies I liked, things that interested me,...pretty much nothing about me. And it was just me and my older sister,...just the two of us, and he was oblivious. He didn't know where the silverware was, or how to load the dishwasher. He mostly worked from dawn to dusk,..at the company he owned. He left for work before I arose, and came home when I was already asleep. I'd see him for 15 minutes a day if I was lucky. And worse yet, he didn't want to talk to me, about anything. He was an older dad,...10 years older than our mom. He left all the personal time with me, to my mom.

I mean, it’s partially true today. I don’t come home and think what my kids absolutely want and don’t want to eat. We decide on what we’re eating based on either what we have in the house or if we’re going to order food. Then usually eat making some version of it that it’s acceptable for each kid is a secondary concept. Plus I only have two kids and when I’m just mind numb from getting off work I doubt I could recall their exact likes/dislikes either.
