Main Scriptures:
Genesis 7
1. Obedience must persist even in the face of destruction. (vs.1-5)
2. Sin will persist up to the point of destruction. (vs. 6-10)
3. Then the Flood Begins (vs.11-12)
4. What’s needed most when the flood comes is an ark. (vs.13-16)
- You build it, you enter it, and He will deliver you from it.
- God, shut us in and locked wickedness out.
5. The Waters of the Flood: (vs. 17-23)
6. The Waters of the Flood Reveal God’s Grace (vs. 17-18)
- God is gracious and merciful because He rescues the obedient from His wrath.
7. The Waters of the Flood Reveal God’s Wrath (vs. 18-23)
- For the disobedient His wrath is all-consuming.
- For the disobedient His wrath is destructive.
- So God is the God of grace and the God of wrath.
8. The God Who Preserves (vs. 23-24)
- God protects and preserves the obedient.
