Post Malone ended up buying the One Ring card for 2.6 Million dollars
Was it $2.6 mil USD or CAD? Since the person that pulled the card was from Ontario, Canada
CAD I believe@@Peeweez0
@@Peeweez0 2.6M CAD or 2M USD
I was about to say… this video did t age well 🤣
And he changed someone's life while doing so
UPDATE: Post Malone just bought the 1/1 One Ring, with a confirmed sales price of $2 million. You can check out my video about the history that led to the One Ring here: czcams.com/video/3y6HDmi61ts/video.html
Apparently he bought it for $2.6 mil
Nice, I'm mentioned in this video around 1:37
I know the person who sold that card to Post Malone.
It was not a graded card at the time of the sale, it was a raw card.
The owner didn't want to sell the card. Post had to make a very high offer, to convince the owner to let go of the card.
Post did take the card to PSA after he purchased it.
The LOR 1/1 Ring card is the rarest card in Magics history. No card has ever been a one of one, and even if there was, it wouldn't have the prestige of lord of the rings, mtg, and a competition that everyone in the world participates in that plays or buys mtg. I don't think it will have the same impact as opening a lotus from alpha but it's still really crazy good
Ol posty owns the 1/1 One ring now.
The 1996 World Champion as well as the Shichifukujin Dragon are also 1 out of 1 prints
Come on man, its just ink on paper...its only rare because they decided to only print one copy, stop making it sound so rare and holy haha
@@Exodianotforbiddenwhat are u talking about? The definition of rare means there is not many. Just because is a cardboard think on it doesn’t mean it’s not Raher
I live in toronto and the one ring actually got pulled at my local game store (face to face games)
The guy that pulled one was so close to a heart attack. Those shakes
Lol funny fact about that video, that is a clip from @openboosters, dude is probably a multi millionaire thru magic
he pulled 3 i believe total..dude was born for this
XDDD whole house was shaking
I dont even play MTG but since I play yugioh, if I were to get my hands on a 1st ed blue eyes pack and opened a blue eyes white dragon 1st ed id be shaking too, i'd be terrified i'd accidentally damage it lmao.
@@RsChrisG I have 2 or 3 I think somewhere in the house, not really in the best condition but it's a cool reminder of childhood to have
Watching this before lotr one ring 1/1 chase
there is a bounty of 150k usd for anyone who could find that card
@@edgabrillo1909it will be worth more.
@@edgabrillo1909 Actually no. The standing offer on the 1/1 One Ring is over 2 Million. It was over a Million within the first week or two of the card being shown/mentioned.
The set is trash. Open your eyes you childlike ignorant weak will powered enablers. You like your favorite stuff turning into garbage? You like paying for that said garbage? Yeah keep buying stuff from the trash company that couldn't get this right if their lives depended on it. Should have made the set legal like they did with dungeons & dragons, but that would take actual creative card making whereas in this situation they just took already made modern cards and slapped on a little different ability and called it sauron. Majority of the cards don't make sense the abilities don't match the creatures like how does pimpin have ward. Even if it didn't even have anything to do with card mechanics just look at this sexist racist bull crap they turn out over and over. Yeah right let's have three different gandalf's with three different nationalities. That makes perfect sense. The company that turns out billions would rather change skin and hair colors of characters we all know and love than pay a royalty. I gotta tell you, majority of magic community are so nice, but so weak. All you want is bunny trails and ice cream cones. Just keep gobbling up all the spoonfed garbage like the sheep you are rather than stop buying this garbage and let the company flop already so someone else can purchase the rights and make these cards the way they haven't been made in years, GOOD. So pathetic all the other card companies produce better quality cards then wizards, even Pokemon. Grow a pair ppl, don't be scared of making important sensible decisions.
Theses also a bounty for 150,00. But it's going to a be hamlf a mil to a mil
A cool card shop I went to when I was a kid would sale 75 cards for 4$ with 2 rares and a foil. It had all mixed sets, cards they wanted to get rid of. I had a ton of cards. That was 2001, and not to mention collecting pokemon and the blue packs were the ones I was buying at the time. Never wouldve thought my generation would be worth anything so I sold my first edition foil charizard along with pokemon/magic.
I went to a sports card shop with a tiny MTG section. Everything in there had hand written prices on stickers. I could tell the guy hated me and the fact that he had to turn to selling MTG to stay afloat. Roughly 1996.
In the early days, during Unlimited run I played. Players would do a two color deck, with four lotuses, eight moxes, four dual lands, they would get control of the board quickly and were unbeatable. It's not just the Black Lotus on its own, but the combination of all those other now banned cars. The Black Lotus was the most powerful of them, though.
Not just fantasy creatures any more. You can cast and summon transformers, eight year olds from the 80's. Aliens from the year 40 thousand and post apocalyptic characters from walking dead. As well as.my.little.pony.
and I thought someone was crazy buying my black lotus for 200 back in the day. man was I wrong lol
I bet you regret selling that card
So this "one of one" card will be the only of its kind. That's crazy I don't collect but I'd open some packs in hopes of obtaining that card.
Amazing vid.! Can you do one about the first ed. Charizard next please! :)
I'm working on one about "The One Ring" card. I should be posting that soon, but I would love to do one about Charizard, maybe Blue Eyes White Dragon eventually too.
and now he owns the 2.7 million dollar "one ring" card
Update. Post Malone now owns the 001 of 001 "The One Ring".. for $2.6m
Some corrections.
I am an avid collector of artist proof magic cards.
The first edition of artist proofs was printed during the Collector's Edition print run. There were no proofs made for Alpha, Beta, Unlimited nor Arabian Nights.
Collectors edition was a set made with square corners, are not tournament legal, and the regular magic back with gold lettering that says 'collectors edition' and they have a gold border on the back instead of the usual black border.
There are black lotus collectors edition cards out there. Approximately 9000 full sets were printed for the domestic US market, and an additional 5000 full sets were printed for the international market. Those had the words 'international edition' on the back.
But, again, these cards are not tournament legal.
Collectors and international editions were sold as complete sets, which means all cards in the set as a box set.
So, in conclusion, approximately 50 artist proofs of collectors edition were produced for each card in the set and distributed to the respective artists.
Some artists used the proofs as business cards, of sorts. Most were given away or sold, and there is a huge secondary market for artist proofs from the beginning all the way to proofs from the most modern and new sets.
Did you check that video of the guy with a Commander deck made of artists proofs?
Now it's 2 million....
I still have my Black Lotus tumber. With Chaos orb. And my Nightmare jean jacket. And 1 alpha Mox. The Jet. Sold all my Lotuses years ago. And all the other Moxen. And power cards.
Update. Post Malone’s most expensive card now is the one ring. Bought it for 2.6mil
did anyone else pause to check out the cards on the table and in the binders???
I’ve seen that episode of Antique Roadshow. The lady legit brought in her husbands card binder that he had collected in the early 90’s when the game debuted. Not sure if something happened to the husband or what, or if she decided to sell the cards but still a pretty crazy binder. The guy who helped her appraise was giddy as a school boy (with an epic beard I might add).
@@duesexistat5016 She is lucky she found honest people as well ... that is totally the type off lady who would have sold something like that for $100 bucks.
I love how much of a nerd Post Malone is. Dude got some money and still geeks out on shit that I love too!
Have to do one on his One Ring now!
Hey! At 0:32 that's me! With my trading post!
Awesome pic!
When does the video titled "Post Malone's $2M Magic: The Gathering Card" drop?
I posted a video about the ring like 2 days before he bought it lol. Figured the owner would sit on it for awhile to drive the price up, guess I was wrong
The fact that malone ended up buying the ring as well ahahhaha
This shocking thumbnail didn't age well
Post Malone must’ve seen this before pulling the trigger on that 1/1 Card lol.
Probably the most convincing argument in favor of proxies
Some of the other rings in the LOTR set are worth an obscene amount of money and they aren't even 1/1
Post Malone Bought the 001/001 RING for $2.64M USD!!!! LETS GOOOOO
The fact that it's a game is the reason a used magic card will retain its value while a used baseball card won't.
I feel the same unless it labron jordan are rare exceptions but the values always depend on performance russel wilson for instance when he was winning superbowls his cards were high now he is struggling and card price are aswell charizard always performs the same just my opinion.
I had a good amount of magic cards back in the day. Traded them away to kid named Steve for gargoyle pogs lol. Pretty sure Steve forecasted the value for magic cards in his head. He looked like a elf so I'm happy 😄
Hard to pass up some gargoyle pogs lol. My mom was a ruthless spring cleaner, so nothing survived from back then unfortunately
lotr magic the gathering sounds insane, is it a separate game or can the cards be used
The newest expansion is based on LOTR characters, but still the same game
@@casualrob so you can use them in normal decks? is there an online playable game like there is for yugioh
There is! “Magic: The Gathering Arena” is the digital version of the game, it’s available on mobile too.
dig the vid. 💯
But they reprinted it in 2022?? Black Lotus 30th Anniversary Edition
And now he owns one that is worth $2 million the extremely rare one of one the ring
Knowing I could have bought a black lotus for 500 back in my day and seeing how much they are worth makes me sick.
Having one and getting rid of it for a gun makes me sicker. I paid 1700 for one mint and had it for 5 years with no price increase. Some con man swindler convinced me to trade it and a few years later it shot up to 20k and kept going. Now i struggle to pay bills and I could have retired
@@nathanbarth7909 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂 sad face
@@nathanbarth7909 What kind of gun did you trade it for? Don't leave us hanging.
@@husky3g i think we can limit it to ones that would fit in his mouth. I am so sorry for that joke, i couldnt resist
i think my uncle had a alpha box still sealed in his attic
GO GET IT!!
I need to time travel, back to when I could get as many Lotus as I wanted for 69.99
isnt the plural of mox "moxen"? why did you say moxes?
1M for LOTR 1/1 card👀? What's next will we see a Harry Potter 1/1 card asking for 2M 🤣💸
the one ring is a MTCG card
I would have to bet, when the 1of1 ring from LOTR is pulled, he is going to pay more than 800k for it =]
Crazy how he basically called it with Post Malone buying that card
Great thumbnail! Made me click, then a great video 😊
Change that to 2.6 million for the one ring card!!!!!
Mad how post now has the one ring 😂
Trade while you can
Even if you don't like magic the gathering, Black Lotus is just a cool ass name
soon to be post malones 50k magic: the gathering card
This aged like gold!
it is now 2 mil
As a yugioh player I would like to learn and play magic but idk why I never got in to it like yugioh
You should check out Magic: Arena, the digital version. It’s a great way to learn imo
wait till this man finds about the the ring card 1 of 1 most expensive card for magic
Hopefully post Malone pulls that 1/1 ring card worth millions
This aged well :)
i subscribed, because your channel name is a catch.
lol this video aged well
2.6 mill now...
in relation to his income, 800.000$ of investment is like a normal person buys a switch or ps5 😅
Not really. He probably only makes 2 million a year. Record labels are really greedy.
Really nice video. I like Most Palone too.
This video needs an update. :)
respect to Post Malone
Hilarious now that we know the One Ring is also owned by Post Malone !!
so whoever has the most money wins
That Howard Stern question is so dumb. Has he never heard of baseball card collectors or Pokémon cards?…
3:26 Ehhhhhh. Not in Edh. There it's Mana crypt followed by sol ring followed by Dockside extortionist. Not like black lotus is legal in that format but it wouldn't really be that crazy if it was.
Yea but black lotus is 3 of any color. The closest thing to a black lotus in EDH is jeweled lotus and even then it can only be used for your commander and it’s only 3 of 1 color
Anyone that ever played MTG has heard of Black lotus atleast once in their life
....and Post Malone bought the One of One Ring. Probably for around $2 million.
Funniest part is the fact that he’s trying to re-sell it for $1,200,000 on EBay for the past 4 years, and hasn’t dropped the price at all
If anything the price should go up
I wouldn't spend 800k on the Mona Lisa.
I mean compared to NFTs and bored Ape these things seem way more valuable
uncles dad has 3
1100 Alpha, 3200 Beta, 15,000 Unlimited.
Would be how many were printed - but for anyonewondering, would probably not be close to how many are still out there - in collections, or being sold, as you'd have to factor in how many get lost, destroyed, etc.
This totally not how it goes. I know the dude feom sweden who he bought it from and this youtuber has dollars mixedup with a different currency.
HOLY BRRSHH
This to me just seems off the chain ridiculous. I see people projecting outrageous somes of money to value simple color printed cards
Some people truly have too much money to spend (waste).
Sounds a bit jealous
2.3 million
Lol youve know cue how mtg matches actually go. You join a match and you watch the other player play solitaire withthemselves and you play next guy same results and you quite and never play again
You can order knock offs from china for $2 a pop. The cards made in the last 15-20 years look amazing and hard to tell from the real thing. The older ones when you really look at them look a little off.
Smh bro I pulled that card 🤦🏻♂️ I gave it away to my stupid brother I was blind and fooled :0
they earn so much money but keep their card quality stuck in the 80's. only disappointing part of the game.
Nate diaz!
I hope the One Ring never get opened and ends up in the garbage dump where it belong.
100%
my cousin and I have a pact that if we open it, we're going to hawaii to throw it into a volcano
fax!!!
@@1996BlueMan no you won't
@@1996BlueMan I plan on doing the same.
Hello!
It’s normal seeing that a piece of card is worth millions… of pieces of cards… the value of money is just dumb, the value of the black lotus is worth for me, because in that card there is the value of making it , crafted by the mind of the artist that want to let you feel something, watching his authentic creation of the mtg card.
I mean, there isn’t something that it’s crazy or not, it’s just a personal feeling.
And now post has the 1/1 too haha
2mil I think
this vid needs an update lol
Obviously black lotus
Post's appearance on MTG shows all over the place is one of the best things on the internet! :D Dude is a vibe! :D
Couldn't agree more!
AND HE WAS RIGHT the one ring sold for 2 mill to post malone
Some guy wins the lottery and gets famous, jumps into the fame of MtG with no other relevance to it, then spends more than a decade's worth of a typical person's earnings on a single Magic card. Charity? Nah. Flex on the community of hobbyists instead! He has basically pustomped what it means to be a MtG gamer.
What a lame world it can be. 😂
The One Ring will not be more than a PSA 10 lotus..... sorry
Already is if Malone paid less than a Million for his signed PSA Proof. The One Ring is in the Millions by standing offers.
lol bruh
Sold a Black Lotus for a few bucks in 1994, don't regret it.
Mona lisa is worth billions soo humans are stupid
Only one problem. Reprint the reserved list!!! Hear hear!!!
16,500 unl;imited
And Post got the other rare hahaha
