If you fill a large can with sand and heat it with the oil lamp slowly as the sand heats it creates enough heat to fill a room you just need a few cans to set it up right save you so much money during winter

I doubt that. The flame is hot not what's below.

@@eedom69Means a bigger scale I imagine...sand heating is like storage heating you heat a giant load off sand whilst heating your house and the sand holds the heat for hours pottentially and more and you can use solar heating too heat it but all down too designs but yh it's same principle as a storage heater

It's amazing how much a cup of hot chocolate warms your whole body.

How many times did u use that? I find that carbon felt stuff is not lasting long. The end gets all baked and crunchy and then doesn't light.

May I ask, what gloves are you wearing? At some point they are covered in oil, and you're hands are close to the flame, are the gloves fire-proof?

The oil on his hands won't light oil takes a lot of energy to burn and won't catch like gas

It can be that you will need something like this for few hours or maybe days. In US right now they have big problems with snow and low temperatures,... some friends which are in US have problems with the heating because of the cold the heat pump stop working. Next example was several years ago when because of the sleet the electricity was down for several days in many areas,.... and if you are not prepared to have some gas burner or similar then that easy made oil burner can at least warm up your water for tee, etc

If you use that crap for cooking, cancer risk is not your biggest problem...
