Rhinox was such a great character in Beast Wars. I love the episode where he took out the predacons with a fart. The most humiliating defeat of Megatron's career... Yes.

"Why, so you do." *BOOM!*
And of course, Dinobot and Rattrap arguing. I just loved when Tarantulas tried to attack them, and they both told him to shut up before punching him.

The "Device" is meant to be a representation of the gadget he used to extract Primal from the Vok probe in "Chain of Command".

I would personally be okay with just the main 5 Maximals. I skipped out on Tigertron.
Primal, Cheetos, Dinobot, Rhinox and Rattrap is all I need. Hopefully he is being worked on and they could release it late next year.

A generations Rattrap is accurate size but an Airazor us needed heck we need more Predacons

Embro, you need to watch Beast Wars again. The plot, character development, etc. have aged like the finest of wines. The "animation" is exceptionally nostalgic and puts one in a 1997 state of mind.
It's funny, people tend to link Rhinox with Ironhide because of the old, sturdy friend and adviser angle, but I always felt he had more in common with Ratchet or Wheeljack, since he had a lot of knowledge of Transformer physiology and was usually the one who fixed his buddies when the CR chambers couldn't, and was also tech savvy and constantly coming up with new gadgets.
Ace Ventura would’ve had a really tough time getting out of this rhino😂

@@anubisdoji1984 I'd suggest Toyworld, I got their Green Hornet figure (Bumblebee/ Hitlers car) and I was surprised how durable it is for it's tiny size. Not one to normally buy smaller/ giant toys but I couldn't pass up such a unique piece.
We have the generations Rattrap which is the accurate size
@@anubisdoji1984 They'll probably do Rattrap for completion's sake. He'll be small but they'll try to pack in show accuracy and poseability. Probably by giving him a bigger backpack than he really needs, but so it goes. The rest of the price point will be filled out with accessories, maybe for other previously released MPs and not entirely for Ol' Cheeselips himself. Or, they'll do a 2-pack with another unreleased character.
Why is there no fart bloosh?
As a kid who grew up with Beast Wars, I'm always amazed at the engineering and detail that these Masterpiece Beast Wars figures have been able to achieve. Looks like the cartoon came right off the screen. And some of the third party figures that are on the same quality for Terrersaur, Rattrap, and Scorpinok look perfect too. So cool.
I love that they knew what the fans really wanted and gave him "wild bean vine" tail lifting action.
That metallic green is just gorgeous !!!
I also haven't seen Beast Wars since it's airing, all I remember is that Rhinox has the coolest transformation in the show where his rhino form will open its mouth wide until it splits and that's how his transformation will start and his lower jaw will become his chest piece. My kid brain didn't once question that proportion wise it doesn't really work unless the rhino form has an extra large head.
The brilliant, bruiser Rhinox is my favourite Beast Wars bot. He may not like it, but he’s a miracle worker in the lab and on the battlefield.

@@tycol322 That is my biggest issue with that show. And one of the reasons why I, like other people like to think of the show as either non-canon or set in an alternate future. His actions in the story almost completely contradict his spiritual side and respect for nature, along with his stalwart loyalty to his fellow Maximals.
Frankly I'm surprised no third party has made a stasis pod. Rhinox needs a stasis pod to be working on.

Iron Hide at the end, seems like he wants to trademark “but Prime,” or anything close to it. Too bad, Rhinox does seem to be Beast Wars answer to Iron Hide.

This is the first figure of Rhinox EVER that has chainguns which actually appear as they did on the show. On the other hand, I don't know what's with the weird striations on his horn, and between his backpack and the weapons stored there, he looks monstrously back-heavy.
To be critical of the stats...Rhinox being rated as an Intelligence/Skill of 6 is criminal. Without him, the Maximals would have been completely destroyed in Beast Wars. Endurance should be lowered as well. Love your videos and the easy transformation guides!

I always wonder why rhinox never had a transmetal form like the others' cheetor was my favorite in transmetal 2...
I’m guessing it might have something to do with his fate in Beast Machines (being turned into Tankor). Then again, Rhinox had a Transmetal toy, but it never made into the show for whatever reason.

Probably limited budget for creating new models & he was used less (mostly stayed at base), after everyone else got upgrades. In universe, he was protected in a repair pod. After a certain episode, people have pointed out he stopped transforming, entirely (I don't recall the ep.)
His Transmetal toy has a snowmobile-esk 3rd mode (front has ski plates, rear has treads).

With the cancellation of the masterpiece line, I wonder how they will work with these considering most of the characters never saw MP form. I assume they will figure it out with MPG or some other subline but I'm not really sure at this point in time

in all of beast wars..did we ever see primal ask rhinox if he can ride on his back? i might be having a mandela effect moment.
The crazy part is that the BW characters actually COULD eat lunch, cause there are times in the show where they eat organic matter 😂.
So what you can do and I and I know some others have done is to get some metallic red paper or stickers to put into the faces and then he looks alive and it is far better than the dead eyes. You don’t even have to stick the stickers in there and the best bit is it means you aren’t changing anything on the figure itself.

Rhinox probably doesn't know what the device is called either! Optimus Primal got himself abduted by an alien space craft while the Maximals were exploring Stonehenge.
Rattrap who was leading the Maximals in Optimus's absence ordered Rhinox to build a device to rescue their fearless leader from the UFO and that's the device was.

I want this figure so bad. I havent brought myself to preorder because the 219.00 price tag is just really hefty but I know ill cave eventually or ill be too late and miss out. Either way ill either have 219.00 extra or a Transforming Rhino.
