Thanks. You answered the real question of why the door handle stops working. I first watched an A1auto video where they didn't address the true problem. Many people in the comments said that they bought the new handle and it did not fix the problem. A1auto did not respond to them. The only good advice they had was to lubricate the latching mechanism while you had the door mostly apart.

Just bought a 20 year old ford MK1 with a loose handle. Your Video helped me to understand how the handle is pulled back in and by presententing the mechanism exposed like you did it was easy to understand what is going on. Thanks A LOT!
Just want to thank the poster of this video! It was awesome, I had the exact problem and your video was the only one that explained how to fix and replace the inner door handle mechanism. I didn't use the cheap fix, but got a brand new replacement and was able to use your video for the dis and reassemble. I was about to buy a new assembly but thanks to your video giving me a better understanding, I was able to fix my door handle without buying anything. The handle had separated from that plastic spring hinged piece. All good now. Thank you

My issue ended up being the metal spur that interacted with the door handle broke. Your video was the ticket towards diagnosing the issue and guidance in disassembly. Much thanks bro!
