Went there in February 2015. It was very scary/ culture shock at first but when you get out and explore the islands you just fall in love with the place.

Early May 2015, we spent 2 nights in Phuket and 2 nights in Phi Phi, only a little rain on Phi Phi. Early June 2015, we spent 2 nights in Krabi (Ao Nang) and 2 nights in Phi Phi, most of 1 day in Phi Phi was rain. It is hit and miss for rain in May, suggest check online weather before deciding what to do when. -- In Phuket, suggest go to FantaSea Buffet Dinner and Show, sit back a few rows in theater because there are acts overhead, no cameras or phones allowed, they are checked in on entry and take time afterwards to collect again, so hurry to exit show to get in line. -- In Krabi (Ao Nang Beach), suggest Ao Nang Sunset Hotel 1 block up from beach, eat at La Luna Italian Restaurant a few doors away (excellent Tiramisu), then have after dinner drinks and live band across street at Full Moon Bar. Take a Longtail Boat 4 Island Tour while in Krabi. -- In Phi Phi Island, if you do not mind the climb up there is a Phi Phi Viewpoint, catch night Fire Shows at beach bars, take a Longtail Boat Tour while on Phi Phi (although Maya Bay has been closed for summer). As you exit landing pier, there is a desk area on left advertising various hotels for rent or just walk inland and ask at a few to find your own place to stay. -- Most show and transportation tickets (including pickup/return from/to your hotel) can be bought at the many Ticket Seller Booths on street, check with a few to get the best price, never hurts to ask for a discount beyond quoted price. -- Enjoy your trip, thanks for watching.
