A man who cleans and wipes down his tools after use. I’m not alone! 😂
Absolutely my friend, like the saying goes, 'look after your broom'!
Made a bad mistake and watched this with the wife , straight away she said Now you know how to make that wheel thing you can give the kids their skateboards back. Cheers Del.
The older I get the more I enjoy watching other people work.
Ha ha, i look forward to that time of life..lol!
I agree David.
Can't stop watching.
I keep buying things to do this job and that but don't get the time to use them as I'm back on here getting new ideas !
You took to the Mig like a duck to water, tidy job on the portable carrier, 10/10 👍👍😎
Thanks Geoff, when you enjoying doing something it makes it easier lol... have a great weekend mate, hope the forecast rain doesn't come, but probably will, but at least it'll wash the last fo the salt off! D&Px
@@Moonfleet41 thanks both x👍👍😎
I am in love with your welding skills amazing 💯💣🥰👍🙂
Thank you, I appreciate your kind comments!
Just imagine the toys you could collect with a 4 car garage :) I am constantly amazed at the projects that get completed in small spaces. Great job !!
Ooh for a big four square garage..!
we got one of those but my mum's filled it with clutter so my dad can't get any cars in it 🙁
And yet again something that is going to outlive humanity... Nice job!! XD
Thanks Han, build it beef aye..!
great little welder, admire your welding.
Hi Del
Lovely addition to the workshop the much more modern version of my trusty supermig 185 that's still a cracking machine to weld with! Looking forward to some more welding and fabrication videos with the new toy! Enjoy it and keep up the good work
Think I’m gonna have make this my first welder :-) nothing but hobby messing about in the garage.
Great vid inspired to go out and carry on teaching myself now lol
Del, not a criticism but a tip, when using bare wire with mig you should be pushing the wire not pulling it.
I usually do Garry, its easier to 'see' the join.. but i found that 'walking' the gas cup across the join gives me just as much feel.. just trying out different methods t see what makes the best weld... these came out pretty good if maybe a bit thick, i don't usually weld thick angle iron..! Thank for your insight buddy.. have a good weekend.. Del.
I thought the same thing and I’ve been welding since high school (24 years) an instructor/inspector told me that dragging actually gets much better penetration. He’s even tested by cutting open welds.
@@granitegreg7883 you will definately get better penetration pushing as the hot wire is always at the leading edge of the pool.
I'm just a beginner with an old second hand Sealey Supermig 180 and I would love to weld half as good as that - awesome.
Well that was fun to watch.
Nice work Del boy 👍👍 like watching your channel, have learned a lot, I did my first fork seals thanks to you guys,
keep up the good work mate...
Happy biking
Thanks Dave, glad the videos help you out..!
Great work as normal del good idea saves your back mate
Wow what a relaxing vid ! You are a wizard !
Love a bit of garage admin!
Nice. Looks like a more modern version of my welder which I've had for many years now. Still love it, will be using it at weekend to fabricate a exhaust system on my sons Land Rover Trialer he's building.
Nice one Giles, glad to know its a popular machine.. Good luck with the trailer project.. Del.
No words needed. Practical and looks good too. :). They used to teach this at my high school back in the days as well but I wasn't allowed. It was cooking and housekeeping classes for me. You have no idea how pissed off and frustrated I was. Anyway, no use crying over spilt milk but I'm way behind in my skillz. Best wishes for a good weekend to you both!
Bless them old school values aye.. and yet the best Chefs are supposed to be men.!!!. Easier to catch up once you've grown up anyway aye..! Take care you, and have a great weekend.. D&Px
Just a question, I've been looking at getting a supermig180 but as its rated at 16amp input it put me off, but I noticed you installed it on a standard 13amp plug with no issues, would I be able get away with it and just not go over a certain amperage?
Hi mate, yes that's a good point, TEMPORARILY I installed a regular plug for this particular project, but shortly after I had a commando socket fitted in the garage by a local electrician and so was able to run it at full power... in my new premises where I am at the moment, I still only have domestic sockets, so am running a commando to 3 pin adapter lead and like you say, just running it on lower amperage, which is plenty for what I do... this machine has more ability than you're likely to need for any domestic automotive project.
Perfect. Enough said ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Job done 😊.
Looking good 👍.
Good vid and lovely welds. If only things were as easy as you just made that look!
Its only practice Martin... get stuck in and have a bash.. its easier than you probably think buddy.!
That’s what I like about you Delboy - you look after your gear!
Thanks buddy.. hard earned and proud to own it... need it to last me too..!!lol
very nice job keep up the good work 👍
That's awesome I like the way you put the sander on wheels🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 you always do a fantastic job. Penny and You Dell Ride Safely
Thanks Paul, always good to hear from you, have a great Sunday, D&Px
The more you practice your welding, the luckier you are with the results!!!
Great Video Top Job Del 👏👏👌🏻👍
love the new mig nice bit of kit .another great video
Thank you Tom..
hi nice one . question what plug and fuse do you use , bit woried as some say 16 amp and 25 amp industrial plug. got mine today. whats settings did you have on your welder.thanks .
Hi Brian, if you read the specification of your welder it'll state clearly whether it's 13amp or 16 amp, if 13amp you can use a regular domestic plug, but if it's 16amp and the wire coming out the machine is thicker than normal, then you need to use what I believe is referred to as a 'commando socket', or some even call it a caravan socket... I just had a local electrician come along and fit one, cost me £60, took him 1/3hr including parts... and for what it's worth, he said to me that if you're using the machine at anything less than 1/2 power, then you could use a 13amp plug BUT... it's pretty difficult to wire the fat wiring in to a domestic plug, so if you do have a 16amp machine, get yourself a commando socket fitted!
@@Moonfleet41 cheers m8 well got the 13 amp plug on without probs . will be getting the comando 16 amp male for the welder and female for the 16 amp to the uk plug about 8 quid for the pair posted so will wire it up as soon as it comes . thanks m8
@@brianbrown4965 Not sure what you mean by " female for the 16 amp to the uk plug"... if you fit a male Commando plug on to your machine, you need to get an electrician to wire in a 16amp socket outlet on your wall, so you're drawing 16amps from the main building feed. You'll need this to run higher ampage if you have a 16amp machine, put it on an extension lead won't work. If you're in doubt mate, chat with an electrician and they'll give you the best advice.
@@Moonfleet41 cheers well i can do it myself to ad the wall mounted socket as i fitted the consumer unit . question for you . do i need 32 amp connection socket wiring into my box or 32 amp . cheers
hi mate well put a 40 amp trip circuit breaker into my consumer unit and put a switch and a socket onto the wall so all set up . was easy to do . thanks for your help
Could you direct me to the regulator you use on the supermig please? The one which comes with it has no gauges and I am a little hesitant to try and set it up with that regulator , thank you
Two long overdue upgrades! Nicely done.
Said that right buddy.. Good to tick them off the list..
LIKE A GLOVE!!! Great video. Wouldve been awesome if you had the benny hill show music with it. Lol. You got mad skillz Del!!!
Thank you Sir, and i have tried many time to find that tune posted up royalty free... but its so heavily protected its not work the risk ..lol
Hello I’m just on setting mine up now and have found that the spot weld timer switch may be faulty seems to jump to setting 2 when i click it on and it wont sit direct on 10 just stops at 9 is your the same ? Cheers
No problems mate... perhaps contact Sealey direct and let them know?!
@@Moonfleet41 just tried it and works cuts off after about 3 seconds on the first click near the 2 mark
This is a feature i probs wont use so I’m not going to wind my self up over it no more lol
Great video. Nice change-up with no narrative. Also, editing was noticeably impressive.
Thanks mate, must a one off, just decided to get on with it and make the frame!
Penny!!!! Were gona need a bigger boat!!!!,(well garage but you get my drift 🤩) nice vid, always handy to have a welder in the corner, plasma or tig next?.
Yes indeed Sir, there's never enough room aye, bigger garage next possibly, but not this year!
I know noting about welding, but i do know you make cool vids matey.
Thank you most kindly Sir, Im glad you enjoy them.
I notice a lot of comments saying you'll need a bigger gaage soon, when I moved house 18 months ago we looked for a large garage with a house attached to it! Nice work on that little project Dell, I'll have to get round to doing that with mine some day. Keep up the good work Dell.
Great plan there David, glad to see you have your priorities right.. large garage, room to build a range of sheds, and all block paved too.. None of that 'gardening' nonsense..! Have a great weekend mate.. take care. Del.
Clever stuff, DB. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice I don't know the brand but good for you a new toy/welder is always cool. Now it is time to build a nice stand up welding cart to maximize your space. Bring it off the ground that bending gets old. Then make a drawer for or extra tips, cups gloves and underneath a place for your clamps grinders and if you have it a chop saw. Just a suggestion I my just excited for you. Always a pleasure Take Care and you two have a great weekend.
Thanks Bradley, i had the old welder on a stand, and yes with shelves and everything.. but this machine is too big for it, and even too bigger if i put it on a stand.. next project should be a bigger garage to stow it all in...lol!! Have a great weekend mate, always good to hear from you.. Del.
Poetry in motion. A great idea well executed, my friend. Enjoyable to watch, too. [How come that, no matter how many new tools and kit you acquire, your garage still seems spaceous? Magic!] 👍
Ha ha.. it is far from that Keith, im having to move more and more stuff outside before i can start filming these days, i need a bigger place for sure.. but thats not likely this year.. so i get creative with some good old fashioned Matlow Stowage..!
Hey Del, we're cut from the same cloth when it comes to how you use and treat your equipment. I wish I could have you on my crew to teach them the same . I have a steel fab business, and I can sh1t myself when my staff treat my hard paid for work tools like disposable junk....
Yeah, its amazing how some staff treat "company equipment".. as if its disposable, like you say..! I guess ifthey havent had to pay for it, there's no pride of ownership aye..!
Tea biscuits del and penny very nice. 😎
"But Penny, I NEED A pillar drill!! Honest!!! Look, it will be that last thing I ask for...straight up!!!"😌😂😂😉🤞🏻
Hi, nice job. It's better when everything runs on wheels , no overlifting when we get older ...lol. thanks , Gus
I totally agree Gus, anything to make life easier.. !
You, Sir, are amazing! You put that welder together like you had designed the original. Nice work on the cart, too, Del. Coming your way in April for a bit. Will send you an email. 👍🏍👍
Hi Gary, thank you kindly Sir, I'll look out for the email, that's great news!
Moonfleet41 email sent. 🏍👍🏍
@@garya3056 Got it buddy, just replied!
good work again
Nice job Del and great new toy mate. Penny and you have a great weekend. Cheers
You too kind sir, good to hear from you always, and thank you for your constant support... D&Px
You're a pretty handy bloke to have around the shop!
Thank you most kindly sir.! and i can make Tea as well.!
Nice job del. 👍
Got that friday feeling
Dang it Del, You just HAD to show me the Perfect stand for the Horizontal band saw at work! That design of the wheels / legs on those saws is horrid. I like your angle iron approach! I'm stealing the idea! Thanks!
Go for it Scott, its a great way to lift it up a bit higher too, save you bending down to it..!
I'm new to the whole welding thing and I'm getting the same gas bottle that you have and I'm wondering what regulator that is that your using with whatever little attachments that I will need. Thanks
Great job, add a bit of plywood to act as a shelf and store off cuts of metal on it, nice and handy.
wow amazing looking at getting a 180 my self have you had any issues with the 13a plug cheers guys x
I had a 19a commando socket fitted in the garage, but even on 13a it was fine unless you're using it on full power..
(P) Ooo new tools and very efficient it is too! Have a great weekend both of you 😀
Thanks Dave.. opens up more roads for coming projects mate.. a machine like this can weld frame tubing and fabrication jobs i couldn't attempt with a hobby machine.! Have a good weekend both of you aye.. and keep in touch.. D&Px
nice and tidy, good man
Nice addition to the garage
Thank you my friend... helps me move forward!
Soo ahhh no one mention the gloves he is wearing while welding? The splater will melt right through those gloves...leave very nice burn marks. Whats the duty cycle on your mig? Also never heard of that brand before, any info on it?
Great skills Del and a proper job! Im trying to convince the wife to get me a welder for my birthday lol. Have a good weekend mate.
Oh really mate, had no idea you wanted one, had I known I'd have given you frist dibs on my old one, but I've sold it now... get in to it mate, you'll absolutely love it!
@@Moonfleet41 that's a shame. I want one for smallish jobs I want to make a helmet stand and maybe welding a hoop on a future project. No worries I should have said before.
Crackin job lad.
Perfeito 👍
1/8x11/2 hr angle iron mice job cool nice welding too your hired??
Very skilled!
The most 12:01 minutes more creative never seen before my friend 🤓👍

See you 🤓✌️
Hi David, thank you for your kind words..
@@Moonfleet41 🤓
Hi Delboy, Any reason why you chose expensive mig over stick? Thanks and keep up the great work. Atb.
Perhaps he is just good with a mig welder?
Got the same problem 👍😎
Hi, you done a great job of that skid, did the Euro torch come with that welder? I’m considering buying one to replace my 135te. Thanks.
Yes it does Steven, it's all part of the package om this machine.. !
Delboy's Garage Top man thank you! 😀
I sent my welder mate this because it looks so good. He said you should push the torch not drag it. Who knew!? Loving your work though buddy!
He's right, its the generally accepted practice for bare wire... but as you can see, it welds fine both ways..!
general rule: push mig, drag arc.
Looks great to me buddy. :)
Del has come a long way with his welding. I didn't criticise the work, It's just getting better as he gets more experience.
@@timmason7430 I wasn't criticising. I sent it to my mate because I think it looks amazing and I thought he would be interested in del's videos.
Nice job.
Thank you most kindly sir... See you both Sunday :-))
Looks really good and professional... but I thought everything was always painted tough black! :)
Ha ha, just keeping you on your toes mate.. lol!
Why don't they teach this in schools?
Amazing skills (as usual).
They did in my school.. but then i went to school a very long time ago..and this was just about all i was good at.!
Thank you for your kind words sir.
@@Moonfleet41 I was taught about welding in school, and that was 'only' 17-ish years ago... I was still absolutely pants at it!
I had all shop classes in my day. Kids now days only know electronics. Sad
Hey Delboy, reckon its possible to add some sort of scottoiler-esque device to the bandsaw?
Yeah, could be..!
you have a lot of talent in everything you make. nice job. what voltage does it take to run the welder.
Voltage? You mean ampage?... it's a 16A unit but I've yet to get the socket upgraded on the wall...
@@Moonfleet41 here in the states. we have 120 volts( runs the computer, refrigerator) 220 volts runs tig welders for 1/2" aluminum)440 volts is industrial heavy overhead cranes that can lift 2,500 kilograms.
we have 100 nuke plants in this country.
@@concrete981 Hi buddy, sorry I didn't realise you were in the States, and you run lower domestic voltage than us... here in the UK all homes run 240v from our regular wall sockets so all our appliances, even a hairdryer, work on that, so this welder is the standard 230 rated machine, but it benefits from a 16amp speed to run it on full power...
Man off many talents my man. Nice job. A peenz did he tell you he was going shopping 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Shh.. i only just got away with the "Oh this old thing" Ploy... don't drop me in it me mate.. ! :-))
😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hi mate I’m currently looking at buying this welder, do you recommend it? Can you get the bigger wire spools for this? Is it argon you are using if it is where do you get it from? Thank you, great video by the way - you have the workshop looking good.
Yes I would recommend it, it's a great unit, more power than you'll ever need... I just use the 5kg spool as with what I do it lasts me years, but you can get bigger ones... and yes, I use MIG-mix which is 98% Argon & 2% CO2, available from any of the weld supply shops, I use Wellington Welding, the branch in Poole in Dorset.
Wow very cool brother 👍
Thank you Ron.. hope its warm and sunny where you are.. we have rain and storms over this weekend... so time for more garage adventures..!
Thought you would've gone for a tig welder for something different, would've been interesting to see the learning process and the slick welds you could be doing :D
it is on the list mate.. but im more likely to ever do Mig welding, so a half decent machine was a better investment for now..! I have a buddy nearby who has offered to teach me the dark art of Tig welding.. but its just time fitting it all in..!
Nice mig del but now you need a bigger workshop lol.
Hi penny
Said that right buddy!... have to start saving... PP says Hi!
I bet you’ve been saying for ages....gonna put wheels on that bloody saw!
New toys always a nice job👍
Yep, every time I drag it out and it scrapes the floor!
Great project, maybe turn some T style bolts for speed of moving it and re securing to the floor. That way you don't need a spanner every time you want to move your saw.
Or weld a bar across the top of them maybe!
@@Moonfleet41 yeah of that keep. It simple. Just means when you move your stuff around it makes it quick.
Of all your videos I have yet to see one on suspension linkage bearing, any plans in the near future to a video on them?
As with all things mate, I do these things when they come along, and I've never had to replace any so far, but I am looking for the next project donor bike already, I don't have a big budget after this Harley build I'm just finishing, so it'll be something old and raggedy and that kind of thing will be exactly what I'll get in to, so stick with it mate... I'll get to it!
More new toys Del at least you use yours 👍
Christ knows why there is 108 dislikes . Nice setup you have there in your garage good job 👍
Great job! What type of gas you used?
It's hobbyweld 5
(95% argon 3%co2 2%oxygen)
I recommend getting at least a 16 amp supply for the welder, you'll potentially melt the little 13 amp plug and socket if you start welding thicker material.
Indeed you are right Zac, its only temporary until i get a 16A socket fitted in the garage...currently don't have one... This project was on lowest minimum setting and purely to test out the machine..!
Good job and a nice new toy,be able to weld penny's mouth shut now easier
11:20 looks like your wrestling a robot sheep! (or is it just me?) =D
Good one !
Made me laugh when I watched it back. Well spotted but it does make me wonder if you live in New Zealand ?
👍
Who do You think You are Jimmy diresta lol nice work del.
What a legend he is aye... an honour to be mentioned in the same sentence as him.!
Only drag when there's slag
nice
i have to say.... nicely done!
have you tried your hand at TIG yet?
Hi Bazz... sadly no, i haven't even got near it, life just never gives me the free time..! will do one day, just got to make time.!
Love tig so much more
Ill get round to it some day..!
A silent movie Del? A great little project there bud !! How about an 'introduction to welding' video, with a talk through on how to set it up etc, that would be nice Del.
Thanks for nudge Terry, I'll add to the list! Glad you enjoyed, just something different this time!
Personally I would rather have the welder up higher on a cart so that the controls are easier to see and change. All of my everlast welders are on carts for this vary reason.
big amps bacon sizzle
sweet , go stack them coins (insert currency of choice) halfpennys i think in our case ...
