You can watch an episode of OFAH 100 times, and still enjoy that same episode as if it is brand new. Such a classic, and nothing came close. Over back home, Frasier was my favourite but OFAH is definitely my fave UK show.

Exactly...'Ashes to Ashes' when Del is pretending to be Arthur. Every time is like the first. Sir David is a national treasure to England but this Yankee includes him in her top three favorite entertainers (one of the others is the incredible Michael Caine).

I have had the pleasure of meeting mr. Jason when I was 11 in 1990, I was with my dad walking around Charing Cross and there he was; I already knew him, was a big fan and my dad asked me "You want to meet mr Jason?", I was terrified and couldnt answer lol, so we walked to him, they chatted a little (I was hiding behind dad), he came to me and said "Pleased to meet you, young lad, always remember he who dares, wins!" with the kindest smile on his face. One of the humblest, friendliest, most gracious persons I've ever met
Absolute legend. Don't pay much interest into celebrities who pass, however when he goes, which I hope won't be for along time, but genuinely will be sad to see him. One of the best actors of all time. All three of them were
I was born in the 1980's so i grew up with Only Fools and Horses on t.v. because my parents and my grandparents loved it so much. From then I started watching Open All Hours and Porridge etc etc. He is my most favourite actor of all time.

It's so wonderful that the three of them seemed to really care about each other, it makes the screen relationships that much more special.
Still watching OFAH in 2020. Seen it a million times, still can't get enough of it. Respect to the entire team, most respected is John Sullivan. Pure genius.
i watched it from start to finish the last few weeks, inc specials and then the spin offs, rock n chips etc, loved every minute. before that i'd grown up with episodes on but not in the right order. was so fun to watch it all in the perfect order.

What a man of tremendous class and dignity. There aren't many of my fellow Americans that know of Sir David, nor do they know of the many works of his lifetime; but I've been following him since the days of "Do Not Adjust Your Set", when I was just a young teenager. He's absolutely right when he said he was certainly, and undeniably fortunate to be surrounded by equally talented people; which guarantees excellence in any profession. But even on his own, he's a brilliant gem. God Bless you Sir David John Granville Sydney Derek William Edward Jack Jason White! :D And thank you Nick Lyndhurst as well. Sir David Jason is the one of the best British actors of all time. Ive seen him in action when filming the exterior scenes of Still Open All Hours at Doncaster and he was very good. He's such a nice man too.

Just started watching this OFAH show about a week ago and now I'm all over the web learning as much as I can about these wonderful actors. That's an impact. I now only watch OFAH, at least for the next few months.

This is amazing, I've never seen these before so thank for the compilation. It actually gives me joy seeing Sir David Jason win these awards and it's not hard to tell how much love and appreciation the audience has for them all. Lovely and deserving winners (and the way he refers to Lyndhurst melts my heart) also Uncle Albert is a sweetheart!

With OFAH, a David Jason win is also a Nicholas Lyndhurst win.
Buster was one of a kind, forever be remembered as Our uncle Albert, David the man the myth the legend alongside nick pure tv magic.
David (quite rightly) gets recognition for what he's achieved... nick not so. He was the first choice for rod and the first confirmed actor in fools. David was 3rd on the list to play del.
nick has been supporting lead in iconic series like butterflys as well as leading goodnight sweatheart...he deserves more credit.
Goodnight Sweetheart is just brilliant. It really showed how different he could act.

Although I have never met these people, they have a place in my heart - not the characters they portray but the people themselves and I thank them for their work. They have brought me laughter, sadness, pathos and wonder.

You have hit the nail on the head there Mackenzie. These people are not immortal, they grow old and die just like us. I grew up with David Jason, from A Sharp intake of Breath right up to Frost. Only Fools being my favorite. 2019 has been a bit quiet for celebrity deaths, 2016 on the other hand was a cull. So many deaths, David Bowie & George Michael to name but a few. Clint Eastwood will be my onion peeler.

This country has produced some great sitcoms, porridge, rising damp, Gavin and Stacey and The Office but Only Fools is the greatest of all time. John Sullivan was a genius. The 1987-1993 period of only fools was the best period of any sitcom in history in my opinion. The only American show that could touch this was Cheers.

surprising how high you rate gavin and stacey lol. shouldn't be even mentioned along with most of them sitcoms. only fools and horses is a timeless classic that will live on for a very long time. again this is my opinion, but no american sitcom would ever get near to how good only fools was.
Frasier was also up there but that stemmed from Cheers. Honestly, I ugly cried so much watch Only Fools as I laughed. It's a perfect mixture of comedy and tragedy and so layered. Such a perfect series.
Absolute on point cast and team... It's funny how much he changed and altered his appearance to fit his parts. All the hair dye and beard or no beard really does change him!
The 1996 trilogy of Only Fools and Horses was so special and each of the three episodes were so strong that Only Fools and Horses truly deserved all the BAFTAs awards that the sitcom received at The 1997 BAFTA Awards Ceremony.

I don’t even know who David Jason is. The character of Del Boy is so flawlessly executed that it truly feels like he’s alive, David Jason just disappears into that fictional character. Every articulated sentence in this acceptance speech is like a shock to my brain, why isn’t he misusing the French language, why is speaking so slow and formally? Truly a talented actor.
