      too bad ness never uses pk rockin effects, just purple and green sparks. i LOVE the sparks, but id like the red blue yellow technicolor vhs sparks he has in the games. they did it with lucas's hexagons :c maybe its because of seizures... ALSO WHY IS LUCAS'S PK THUNDER BLUE NOW.

      PK Fire is one of the best side bs in the game (both lucas and ness) and its salt inducing
      In my opinion Lucas' is better because you can stage spike and edgeguard with it, and it can neutralize other projectiles

    • @MegaRetroRocket

    2 things that weren’t in the video.
    1. If you down air as you land you will have no landing lag at all, but you have to land during the down air otherwise it won’t work.
    2. If you Full hop and buffer a bit fire you can land the pk fire on top of the opponent which makes it harder for them to DI out of, and if you buffer it you will have time to do a down air as you land and have no landing lag. So it’s essentially a lagless pk fire.

    @Skeepers192 Před 5 lety +31

    Important to know (if I’m not mistaken) moves only stale if they’ve been used recently. I believe it keeps track of the last 9 moves you used and if the move you’re using is in that list then it’s stale. More stale the more times it’s in the list. So it’s fine to use back throw when the enemy is at 0 percent, because you’re going to use 9 moves before you want to use back throw to kill, and by that time it won’t be stale anymore.

    Update for anyone watching today, Ness’ PK Thunder 2’s bounce off the ledge doesn’t give you another chance to PK Thunder
    Edit: actually it does, I just misunderstood that you need to tech at the right time in order to do it a second time

    The reason the Yo-Yo won't always hit them at the ledge is because the Two-frame recovery time isn't there when the recover at certain angles.

    Weak pk flash is actually a really good combo tool. Since it hits upwards, you can do something like quickly jumping into a spike.

    Awesome guide. One thing I don’t think you mentioned is the psy magnet, fast fall fair into grab combos. If you get the hit box on falling psy magnet, you can fast fall fair and upon landing it’s a guaranteed grab. It’s not even too hard to land.

    I’m not able to do the two fairs in a row without using the short hop X+A button press trick. Same with getting off two nairs in a row from a short hop. Is he also using the button shortcut or is there a finesse to the technique I’m not getting?

    Tip: if you press jump and A at the same time it auto short hops. Its good for ness's nair if someones running tward you just stand still and press A + jump. It hits for me 80% of the time especially if your opponent is going for a grab or has rolled/dodged right on top of you
    also if someone is on a platform and you're below them Up + A + Jump short hops your up air perfectly to hit anyone on short platforms!

    You can probably cancel PSI Magnet into a special move by jump-cancelling it. That's also how I use Neutral-B for edge guards with Little Mac, by threatening with a charged Neutral B but cancelling it into an up-B if enemies try to jump over me.
