Recently I discover that Arthur has a prone animation and I recorded it. But unfortunately I lost all my data for my PS4 so I quit trying find new stuff for this game for a while.

one small detail im not sure people are aware of; if you go read arthur’s journal (even from the beginning) you can see his handwriting style change as things get worse for him and his gang. you see his writing style change from neat and organized when they arrived in blackwater, planning scams and heists, to frantic, erratic, messy and disorganized. arthur wasn’t even involved in the raid but you see his psyche shine through his hand writing. the handwriting of an anxious man. the attention to detail is absolutely breathtaking
John running through bullets flying directly at him, risking his own life to save Jack, and then to take him back to Abigail, and then staying with them to protect them...that got to me.
How many men do you know that wouldn't do that exact same thing? It's just about impossible to see a child in a life threatening situation and not reflexively rush to try and help them.
@@nerdtom4513well that’s not really true. Rdr1 is literally John’s redemption and the epilogue develops John’s character even more by realizing he was wrong and did what Abigail truly wanted.
The fact that we'll probably never gonna be able to say "we've seen all that RDR2 has to offer" is almost scary to me. It show how actually massive this game is
There's a cool little detail that I found out just yesterday. Not sure if others have found this but here goes. When you're out in the wilderness and want to take a break, you can also allow your horse to rest like other gang horses and NPC mounts. Set up camp somewhere and take the saddle off your horse so it allows the horse to rest/ be free. After a while you'll notice the animal will start eating grass (an animation that's normally rare). Here's the best bit. When the horse is feeding and you move about 3 or 4 metres away from it, it will slowly lay down and start to chill (an animation that's otherwise impossible to see). When you move closer to it while it's resting, the horse will get startled and stand up, implying it thinks you're about to saddle it up again. I don't know if this mechanic works in the Van der Linde gang's camp. I'm guessing you can, because you can definitely take you saddle off your horse within camp, after which Arthur automatically drops the saddle in a secure location near his little tent. Do try this and see for yourself 🤠
@@cruelkiller115 RDR came out in 2010, RDR 2 2018 (8 years later) GTA 5 came out 9 years ago. So in 8 years they done all this with RDR 2. No excuse for us to not have GTA 6 yet.
Never knew about being able to take that abusive husband NPC to jail; I thought I'd be accused of kidnapping him so I never did it! 😂 The quality of gameplay here is beautiful. Those graphics! 🥰
You can bring everyone who's doing criminal things to jail (or almost everyone), like people who beat his wife in the vid, people who kidnap some woman, prisoner that get transported to jail kill the guard, shoot the lock, let them free (they might give some info about home robbery or something) , after that tie em up and bring back to sherif, prisoner who ask you to shoot their locks too, shoot their locks, they might give info too, and they em up again, lol 😂 oh and you get some money too from the sheriff for bringing them
I actually tried to do this to the guy that shoots his friend out front of the gun shop, but because I was in the point of the story when you're unable to use weapons in Rhodes I couldn't equip the lasso. I chased him on horseback until we just got beyond the zone where this restriction is lifted and immediately caught him, but when I returned to the sheriff's office it wouldn't let me enter the cell, and the deputy and other people standing around just stood there saying "Good Lord!" lol
I’m still playing this game and still surprisingly got more stuff in here that I never knew, and I STILL learning them as I play along. It’s been a year since I have the game on disc.
Albert Mason's wildlife photographs are Hanging in the front gallery of the St. Denis Art Gallery during the Charles Chatenay quest. I presume the number of photos changes based on your progression with Albert - but I was finished the Albert questline by the time I did Charles Chatenay quests so 4 photos there: wolves, horses, alligator and eagle!
Arthur smoaking a cigar while Eagle Flies was about to be shot was so fuuny!! I am replaying the story and at Horseshoe overlook camp, I overheard Abigail talking to Jack about not having new clothes, so i went closer and she told Arthur she wished she had money to buy Jack new clothes as John was useless - then I had the option to give her $5. Played story 4 times, never had that happen.

Now that I’ve started my third play through, I’ve interacted with the gang a lot more during Chapter 2 (which I’m still in) and it’s sad seeing Kieran get killed the way he did, he was actually a genuinely nice guy and even saved Arthur
I got to see Arthur and I think also John waiting for the right time when starting a mission a couple or so of times, I think even for the one you showed. I really appreciated that level of detail.

At 7:04 I either never noticed or never saw Mary-Beth run up to the fountain. I always assumed she just ran inside with the others, I don't know if maybe some part of her was running to go see Kieran even if she knew he was obviously dead.
@3:56 you can take him to jail because he was in the middle of attempted murder, if you don't intervene he drowns her in the trough. There are a few encounters like this in the game where once the npc passes a specific dialog check you can arrest them and its not seen as kidnapping.
I love your RDR2 videos, this game is so mind blowing with how much work has gone into it. I feel like this might be the last time we ever get a game like this
Honestly, it's been 4 years, and no game got even close to this. I'm so grateful for it, and sad that I never get to experience other games as good as rdr2. I wish I could erase it from my brain, and start for the first time once more.

I finished rdr2 without visiting Charlotte again, I had a second mision to do with her so I came back today with John. She was dead inside her house, no evidence of fight anywhere, it looked like a natural death

The one at the womens rally is great found out about on my third playthrough. There is also different dilague in the side quest in Chapter 6 They say something like you got lucky last time.
I just discovered that in the beginning of the game when youre looking for john with javier and it tells you to eat to regain stamina, if you dont have anything for stamina like i did, a little cutscene will play and javier will offer you bourbon

9:42 I got goosebumps from where john was playing the guitar to Arthur's grave. I finished this game and all the side quest but I have not experience all of this. Absolutely the best game I've ever played, what a masterpiece.
When I first started playing I had no idea about the honor system, so I just treated the game like GTA and didn’t think there were consequences to my actions. I now know about high and low honor and I am very happy since I get to gradually see my Arthur become a better person.
I’ve played through 3 times, on my 4th, never knew if you keep racing that old man on the 3rd or 4th victory you’ll receive a notification banner that your horses max speed increased after winning. Might have to win all 3-4 races with the same horse to get it. I had the white arabian coincidentally and now that horse looks like its in warp speed at full gallop 😂super cool!
Arthur waiting for morning is a great improvement from rdr1’s “no you cant do this mission right now come back later when you forgot when you were supposed to be doing the mission so you still get there at the wrong time”
8:54 i assume they designed NPC navigation in a way which they can script "NPC - pick body, go - > place - > rest" Which would ultimately allow for extremely easy and dedicated mass-NPC automation. But also the amazing animation and idle npc ai system they curated.
On my play when John was visiting Arthur's grave for the first time, there was an eagle staying on it. The interesting part was that John was not able to shoot it - didn't try, but the dot could not turn red when aiming on it. When approached the eagle flies away. The aim dot was still grey on it. I think it was a golden eagle.
I recently discovered that Arthur has a prone animation for when he gets stuck under something, it is very strange that I only got to see it once and after that I lost my PS4 data to upload here on youtube.
Something i just found rn is if you confront thomas downes while it’s raining, when he spits blood at you the rain washes it off your face (there’s usually a spot of blood on arthur’s lip from thomas spitting it at him)
Here’s Something I noticed after my first play through After the mission Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego where you go hunting with hosea if you use the legendary bear pelt to make a hat throughout the game people will comment on it and especially in the mission Icarus and Friends the air balloon guy says “and may I say, a bold choice of hat, sir.” I just thought that was cool.
You have an admirable comedic sense. Most people would have just had Arthur stand by while Eagle Flies is being pummeled. You, on the other hand, light a cigar. Fantastic.
I knew about the police moving bodies. I play a game with the 2 missions at Hanging Dog Ranch (Arthur helping Sadie dispose of the last of the O'Driscolls, and John helping Mr. Dickens and Abe with the Laramie Gang). I loot and move the bodies to the front of the property in between sheriff visits (they come back multiple times because they don't have the horses to take that many bodies) and while they are there, I play hide and seek.
I knew there was a fight with Beau’s cousins. When he said “Let’s get out of here before they change their minds” or something and also i guess it is pretty obvious that Arthur took all of them on the side of the building

9:42 I got goosebumps from where john was playing the guitar to Arthur's grave. I finished this game and all the side quest but I have not experience all of this. Absolutely the best game I've ever played, what a masterpiece.

When I first started playing I had no idea about the honor system, so I just treated the game like GTA and didn’t think there were consequences to my actions. I now know about high and low honor and I am very happy since I get to gradually see my Arthur become a better person.
I’ve played through 3 times, on my 4th, never knew if you keep racing that old man on the 3rd or 4th victory you’ll receive a notification banner that your horses max speed increased after winning. Might have to win all 3-4 races with the same horse to get it. I had the white arabian coincidentally and now that horse looks like its in warp speed at full gallop 😂super cool!

Arthur waiting for morning is a great improvement from rdr1’s “no you cant do this mission right now come back later when you forgot when you were supposed to be doing the mission so you still get there at the wrong time”

Which would ultimately allow for extremely easy and dedicated mass-NPC automation.
But also the amazing animation and idle npc ai system they curated.

On my play when John was visiting Arthur's grave for the first time, there was an eagle staying on it. The interesting part was that John was not able to shoot it - didn't try, but the dot could not turn red when aiming on it. When approached the eagle flies away. The aim dot was still grey on it. I think it was a golden eagle.
And if your arthur was low honor instead of an eagle it will be a coyote
I recently discovered that Arthur has a prone animation for when he gets stuck under something, it is very strange that I only got to see it once and after that I lost my PS4 data to upload here on youtube.

Something i just found rn is if you confront thomas downes while it’s raining, when he spits blood at you the rain washes it off your face (there’s usually a spot of blood on arthur’s lip from thomas spitting it at him)

Thanks! It's somewhere in my Top 5, maybe Top 3. The Last of Us is my favourite, and then RDR2 is up there with Death Stranding, INSIDE and Firewatch.

After the mission
Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego where you go hunting with hosea if you use the legendary bear pelt to make a hat throughout the game people will comment on it and especially in the mission Icarus and Friends the air balloon guy says “and may I say, a bold choice of hat, sir.”
I just thought that was cool.
You have an admirable comedic sense. Most people would have just had Arthur stand by while Eagle Flies is being pummeled. You, on the other hand, light a cigar. Fantastic.

I knew about the police moving bodies. I play a game with the 2 missions at Hanging Dog Ranch (Arthur helping Sadie dispose of the last of the O'Driscolls, and John helping Mr. Dickens and Abe with the Laramie Gang). I loot and move the bodies to the front of the property in between sheriff visits (they come back multiple times because they don't have the horses to take that many bodies) and while they are there, I play hide and seek.
That is beautiful at the end with the guitar
