    I made this tonight. I omitted the corn starch and sake. I added garlic salt to the salmon and pepper . I also added ginger and garlic slices to the sauce , I let it sit there’s for 15 minutes and the. . Took out the ginger and garlic before frying it. It was pretty easy and pretty good. Thank you.

    thank you for sharing, love Japanese cooking, it is usually very healthy. I bought a bottle of Mirin, and left in the fridge, and it crystalized, and some white stuff is hanging inside the bottle, it is still OK to use? and should Mirin be stored in the cupboard and not the fridge?

    I wondered why you had an Austrian or German bottle of Distelöl, which is one of my favourite salad oils. The literal English translation is "thistle oil" but this oil is actually called safflower oil in English, because it is made from the seeds of a special variety of thistle with yellow flowers (which were once used as a substitute for saffron and to obtain a yellow dye). Is safflower oil traditional in the Japanese cuisine or is it something new?

    I love his recipies, but I have one problem with the videos. I dislike greatly when he claps at us. Yes, at us. It feels very disrespectful. Would he go to Japan and clap at them?

    • @taijiskitchen
      @taijiskitchen  Před 2 lety

      thank you that you like my recipe and also for the feedback.
      I am actually not clapping to the viewers, but instead it serves as an opening. yes, also in Japan if someone clapped directly to someone else's face, it is considered rude alsol. but clapping is considered in Japan a way to cleanse the area/scene as well, just like you would in a shrine. I did not make really conscious decision to mean it like that, but probably so.
      I apologize that my clapping has bothered you, and if there will be more complaints on this, I will consider stopping. but as time being I would have to ask you kindly to skip 5 sec.
