Revered sir i had rct in LR6 but after some years I had developed a hard non tender painless swelling in my mandible ( buccal cortical plate had swollen lingual side is fine) the oral surgeon advised extraction (december 2023). It's been months( April 2024 : 4 months roughly) My question is , is it possible for this swelling to go away ? I was being told give it time it will sit otherwise if its causing cosmetic issue then surgery is the treatment. But I'm confused it's been months I still have that swelling
Sir, can you please tell me is it possible remove broken rotary files in middle and apical third of canal? I don't have the fancy and expensive removing kits we see in the books.Is there a simple method for removing the rotary files?
Instrument separation in Middle and apical third of root is the worst scenarios to treat. Removal if instrument can damage a lot of dentin and ultimately tooth will fracture. Better way is to by pass the instrument or wait and watch for files fractured in apical third. Even with magnification and multiple systems, success rate is quite less as it demands lot of patience and experience 🙏
@@Endocrisps Oh ok, thank you very much! So the best possible solution I guess is to irrigate and shape the rest of the accessible canal as best as I can then put the patient on follow up and wait and watch. Thank you sir!
How to proceed for the case where radiolucency is involving furcation(perio endo)? Can we get good result from curettage and deep scaling after that endo treatment...
Great video sir. Currently I am doing a similar case of periapical cyst.the only prob I am facing is whenever I palpate palate pus ooze out and it again flow back to cystic cavity. Sir should I obturate and proceed for the surgery ???

Extraction or RCT. This decision will depend on how much tooth structure is remaining or amount of bone loss, not on swelling is big or small. 👍

Surgery will be needed in that. That is a case of infected periapical pocket cyst.
