Insane 2, sequel to a well-known game, offers a number of innovations in the off-road racing genre. Besides the traditional time trial mode, the game features 9 other game modes, including the popular "Capture the flag", "Gate hunt" and "Pathfinder", as well as some new competitions, such as bonus hunting, territory control and helicopter pursuit. All of these modes are also available in multiplayer, with up to eight players participating simultaneously.

I didn't play the first game but this one is not a full price game and it is similar to Nail'd and Motorstorm. I personally think it is fun for casual reasons.

Where is the car damage? In insane 1 i once hit a house and the impact was so powerful that it flattened my car... the lenght of the car became literately SMALLER than the width. I shit you not.
Looks good to me. Looks like Motorstorm which was fun. Hopefully they'll bring this to console.

Personally, I like this game because I never played any of that other modern off-road stuff, so it's a nice causal experience.
aw.. I'd love to hear the voice says "Checkpoint!" every time you pass through the gates. But they still did a great job about the graphics and stuff. I'm gonna try it!

Dear GOD. This game looks absolutely gorgeous. I was skeptical as shit of the screen shots on the Steam store page, they looked like concept art and the trailer on Steam is low quality, but this video confirms it.

HOLY SHIT. When i first played 1nsane, i was fucking speechless. For it's age, it had the best car physics i've ever seen. You were able to turn your car into undrivable metal trash just by falling few times. It was an amazing game.
I just hope THIS won't be a disgrace as greatest racing game's sequel. Also, it's pretty sad 1nsane wasn't really popular.
Also, i see it was developed by a Russian company with Codemasters license. As a Russian, i'm pretty proud right now.

1nsane was one of the best innovative racing games ever released. There is a lot of mods that make me play this awsome game till today.
Insane 2 is a generic, lacking character and interest, racing game that immitates current gen games of the same genre. The only thing resembles the old 1nsane is the title. Its a very mediocre boring game.
It's a shame, that noone knows this game.
Most magazines/gaming-plattforms don't even report about it. :-/
I just saw it on Steam and didn't even knew there is a 2nd part (and I subscribed to loads of gaming-chans here on CZcams).
I only remember what endless fun we had with 1NSANE on LAN parties back in the days. One of the best LAN games I've ever played. :-)

Gotta agree. Insane 1 had good physics and great gameplay. The sequel is just fancy arcade racing :S Motorstorm is a lot better than Insane 2.
yeah i got both HTA and HTA;rise of clans, and those games werent even made by targem, they were made by Buka, but im glad im not the only person who plays hard truck apocalypse

I was talking of the first Motorstorm too (like you said from 2006) and this game is from 2011 soo what you are saying is that Insame was only good without Motorstorm to compete...
I don't even care if it's not as good as the first one. The fact that they even made a sequel is surprising.

what sucks about this game are the physics. that's what made the original so fun.

Hi friend - i already install the game and it start and run OK. Have one issue . play with keyboard simple direction keys the car go ok, but if i use my Xbox pad, when start the race, press and keep A button of xbox the car start go, but past 2 second go stop. and again press A Buton the car start velocity again but past 2 second stop again. ( the game not have configuration keys to Xbox) .
Alternatively, use the other pad control with keys but only directions keys are active on game. in this pads is dificult play because have to press & keep forward key and use left/right keys at same time.
what can i do to change the key to made car GO on the race on xbox control ??

This isn't Insane 2, it's a second hand engine with no love using the IP. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift to me is 100% Insane 2, albeit on PS3.
doesn't look bad. Can someone tell me which one is the best clone of "motorstorm" but on PC ? I have seen many but none is decent....this looks good but....doesn't make me want to play it. anything better?

This game is actually pretty nice. Sure, Insane 1 was better (mainly in terms of handling), but the sequel still gave me plenty of fun.

Insane 1 came out in 2000, amazing graphics then and was popular. This is a rehashed engine of somesort and no love put in. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, from over 10 years ago even now has all the blood of an Insane 2 sequel. Only on PS3 though, youtube it.

acctualy motostorm is a expencive copy of the original insane. witch was in 2001 or 2002 WAY before the 1st motorstorm...but both games ar very fun

You obviously have a very short memory then, because aside from the turbo boost, the camera and physics-defying jumps were as much as part of the first 1nsane.

ROR is very best of open-source racing project.
It's call 1SANE and i think it was well famous enough.
People who complain about this game are crazy weird. The new insane was awesome and the old insane is just a deathmatch with cars in a delta force map. smh

this game has not much to do with 1nsane. Best part of the first title was the damage model at its years, this one doesn´t show any improvements in the area. Also the driving physics seem to be much more arcade.
