Jay's done some great stuff in his career and seems like a really good guy but this show is where he absolutely shines. The guy is so passionate, knowledgeable and funny. Brings me back to being a kid watching top gear
It would have been, your a select few to ride in that. Even fewer in Hurst Hemi under the glass while rolling 4 times. Just him and his idle rolling along like turds in the wind. Lol

I just came from the Duesenberg/Auburn-Cord museum on Saturday. It was a great day trip from our northwest ohio residence. The cars were amazing and we paid extra to see the additional truck museum which was just as cool. Many very early cars and trucks. It was truly amazing to see the evolution of automobiles in last hundred plus years.
Jay's too smart to buy it. Hurst never made a '69 Hemi Under Glass. It was a new build with no racing history. In my opinion, the private parties that had control of it destroyed it when they repaired it. The doors, hood, and deck lid opened and closed but for some reason they cut the Barracuda's unibody in half and welded another car's half to it. It's not even the same car any more. jay followed and always loved bob riggles and the Hurst hemi under the glass since he was a kid. Hes more likely to have it donated to him by Bob's family than to buy it.

In a July, 2016 Autoweek article written by Leno, he said "We rolled over and over then came to a rest.”---Not True! They rolled once slowly and landed upright on the wheels. The footage was edited to make it look like something it wasn’t. Pretty pathetic.
The track wasn't the problem. It was Bob Riggle's fault. In an article he wrote for Autoweek in July, 2016, Jay said “The wheelstand itself was great, but then as Bob accelerated, I suddenly realized, whoa!, we’re going into a rollover.” The footage was edited to make it look like it was something it wasn't. They rolled one time and landed upright on the tires. The new driver, Mike Mantel, went there and made four successful passes in front of a NASCAR crowd.
