I love this teaching. I was struggling today with prayer just the incessant depressing daily news about covid, etc but somehow this message popped up and while listening, Pastor made me smile, n laugh, n my spirit lifted n prayer just easily bubbled n flowed. Thank you Pastor, God gave you a wonderful way to reach struggling souls to remind us no matter what, He is still God and still in control. Thank you God, Thank you Lord Jesus and The very Wise, Creative Holy Spirit. 🙏🥀

That was absolutely sterling! Gosh. I've been speaking in tongues now since 1980. This teaching alone, as a teaching on this subject, magnified God and spoke of the wonderful works of God. I am praising him, and also thank our Lord for having sent the body of Christ His gift ministries. Thank you Father and thank you John. Now, I truly have something I can present to those who hunger and thirst after righteousness. God bless.

Amen. absolutely right speaking tongues one to testify the Holy Spirit and this is inital evidence. Speaking tongues to bring you a supernatural to God, the way you know more God.. God want us to have power He know we are wicked and our enemy ready to destroy our life that's why He want to give His Holy Spirit to comfort us and help. God bless you brethren in Jesus name.
Our first birth was accompanied by vocalization. e.g. crying... and then everyone knew you were alive! Then a baby continues to speak in sounds which the baby itself doesn't understand, yet the parents rejoice. The baby's babblings are a language which the parents must learn because there is thought behind the words, and still yet a language not understood. This is true of the new birth spirit as well. We are new born spiritual babies and speaking in tongues is the proof of life.

I certainly do feel the Holy Spirit interacting with my spirit on occasion. Romans 8:16, "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" Did you not actually experience the power of God move on you when your spirit was made alive from the dead?

Well, I wouldn't recommend NOT involving your brain. It's important that you stay engaged mentally. This is an important distinction between the true tongues and the counterfeit offered in pagan religions, which encourage their adherents to become passive mentally. Keep this in mind. God's spirit is communicating with YOUR SPIRIT, not your mind. Speak to God with both tongues and with your understanding, and ask him to give you a bountiful tongue so that you can praise Him more effectively.
yes. . i would definitely let you know the improvements. As u quoted from Mathew i believe i received it by faith. Also according to luke 11:11-13 Lord will not give his Holy spirit in abundance. Pls keep me in prayers. Please pray that I would start speaking it fluently . Thank you so much for the response .JESUS BE WITH YOU .

Thank you so much . Sorry my english is not that good. By saying " Not involving brain " in meant that i dont have to think about the next syllable to speak out. It automatically swtiches to another one without me intending to do so and the very first time i started speaking my tongue was moving very fastly. Yes as you said mentally im engaged coz i can stop and start as i like. Only problem i noticed is that words haven't formed yet as you or any other leader's tongue.
The only explanation of what speaking in tongues is in the Bible is located in Acts 2.
I Believe tht I have received this gift of speaking in tongues few days back. I don't understand why I cannot form any words other than repeatative syllables . I can speak like that fluently and fast for hours without involving my brain or getting bored . Some people told me that I wd gradually develop words as I keep on exercising / praying in it . what do u think about it ? pls help
The only way one can be born again, is for self to die. And death is emotionally painful. And realization that we have failed God if the Holy Spirit is calling us is emotional. Thus the savlation is realized because the sorrow turns to peace and or joy. On their own. With nobody telling them they have been born again. The Holy Spriti convicts. The Holy Spirit regenerates. An action of Jesus.
I disagree with the idea that the Holy Spirit can't be felt at salvation. It's because there are many false salvations. Praying the sinner's prayer before the Holy Spirit has sent the invitation. False repentance (just saying I'm sorry but with no remorse which only comes when the Holy Spirit convicts the spirit over sin). Or not working out one's salvation. I didn't pray any sinners prayer except "Jesus save me!" and a few other things. For about 30 min or so, give or take. And then BAM! The Holy Spirit regenerated me, through Christ and I felt the sorrow turn to joy in an instant. Along with great peace. And it happened in a particular instance.
Speaking in tongues DOESN'T mean babbling!
It is an intelligible language, not gibberish.
Go and read your Bible again and see if you got it right. There is a gift of diverse tongues (human, intelligible languages), and there is the tongues of angels (which no one can understand) which comes during the baptism in the Holy Ghost. I Cor 14:2
Paul says that the one who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks to God not man - 1 Cor 14:2. I hope the brother remembers that instruction before he speaks in tongues as an example. It is not meant to be used to speak to people even as an explanation for sounds like... It is not a display for men.
It is a holy action either to be interpreted in a public meeting or, to do so quietly as it were just so the one speaking is aware of the sound. Or else in private prayer before God.

So you mean that according to bible scholars, in Acts 2:9-11, Egypt they spoke Egyptian, Libya they spoke Arabic, Cyrene, Pontu and Medes they Spoke Grecian , Mesopotamia they spoke Babylonian/ Assyrian, Cappadocia they spoke Turkish, Elamites they spoke Akkadian, and in Pamphylia they spoke in Iranian/ Persian. None spoke Glossolalia the doctrine by Charles F. Parham. Proven fact, all the Israelite's that was scattered in Deu 28:64/ into the lands of the Gentiles Gen 10:5 that came from the locations in Acts 2:9-11. The miracle was the restore the scattered Israelite under one language from Gen 11:7...Deu 30:2-3 And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee
"Those people"? You mean "those JEWS"! Why don't you say that??? THE JEWS WHO WERE MESSIAHs eye witnesses of His Resurrection from the dead as King David prophesied in Psalms, THEY ARE THE 1ST TO RECEIVE THE OUT-POURING OF JEHOVAHS "SPIRIT"!
