- It’s been one year since Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide adjusted their hallmark methods of sharing comfort and hope from the scriptures due to the pandemic, and that includes more than 3,000 Witnesses at congregations in the greater New Orleans area.
For many, the change from ringing doorbells and knocking on doors to making phone calls and writing letters expanded and invigorated their ministry.

I think this was an excellent interview by our dear brother. Nothing can separate me from the love I have for Jehovah and Jesus, absolutely nothing. I have too much love for people in my heart for people and refuse to entertain any negative comments about the organization. Jehovah saved my life and I will spend my entire life dedicating it to Him. I tell you one thing though, in reading some of the negative comments, you can tell we are deep in the last days. But Jesus said the last days would be like the days of Noah where the flood came and they "took no note". This is very true. We will be ridiculed until Jehovah brings an end to this wicked system, and I'm fine with that. I love Jehovah and Jesus so much.
Agree 100%...people don't realize what they're saying "NO" to. Jehovah, and us, his representatives, want to help and warn them before they get caught in this massive clean-up of the Earth. We are not the enemies. So grateful to be here and for whatever reason Jehovah felt sorry for my stupid self and let me know Him.

Where did this idea come from? Certainly God would not exchange His appointed priesthood for another “priesthood”, not anointed. He never has. (2 Chron 13:9; 23:6,7; Num 18:7; Ezek 44:6-9) This idea comes from men, to usurp the authority of the spiritually "circumcised" priesthood. (Mal 2:7; 1 Pet 2:10; Rom 2:28,29; 1 John 2:20)
The Wt continues: “Rather than challenge their authority, we truly appreciate our hardworking elders!”
What happens if this man-made doctrine of authority is challenged by an anointed one? They are disfellowshipped. (John 16:9; Rev 13:1,2,11,12,15) The GB has given the “Gentile” elder body the authority to spiritually “kill” God’s anointed; “brothers and sisters” in Christ. (1 John 3:10-12) No, there is no love in this organization. (Matt 12:34;24:12) There was no love practiced by the Pharisees when they handed Jesus over to be killed by Gentiles. (Matt 5:20) We have a “man of lawlessness” - elder body, acting as priests. (Matt 24:15; Rev 11:1,2) They have ‘set themselves up’ in the Temple of God, ruling and judging His “living stones”. (2 Thess 2:3,4) As this “man of lawlessness”, they are ‘standing where they do not belong’. (Mark 13:14)
But of course, their appointment cannot be “challenged”. How many rules and regulations in the organization are open to challenge and debate? None.

I have increased my witnessing at work, delivery people, letter writing even when I shop with my mask on because people are asking questions about the times we live in and are very receptive. Thank you , I missed meeting with my brothers and sisters but the technology has allowed us to meet online on our zoom meetings. We have also taken advantage of zoom meetings, It has made it possible for us to meet with some of our brothers and sisters from different areas and even from other countries. We see it as a source of encouragement for us and with much appreciation we thank our God and creator Jehovah.

@@larryvu9784 I have a family member that was baptized as a JW at age 8 years old. Steven Lett spoke about a Nelly baptized 10 year old brother. The youngest person documented in watchtower litterature to be baptized as a JW was 6 years old. So you are wrong. ;-)

Everyone who want to be baptised will be discussed among elders and will be giving a 6 months trial as an unbaptised publisher to work at the field ministry. Then at the end of 6 months, the unbaptised publisher will be given a test of Bible's knowledge. How can a young 6 or 8 year boy can pass the challenge ? The youngest baptised I witnessed is 15 years old.

Do you inform the people you talk to that other jws are listening to your conversation if that is the case? A friend of mine recently witnessed conversations with return visits being broadcast to others without their knowledge or consent.

As a Theologist I think this Christian religion is the most accurate knowledge based in the Bible and this worldwide multilingual Organization, did a lot of investigation in cience and human history.

I was a jehovahs witness and when I was i defended them every time someone called them a cult. I know now that they are a cult. Also when someone who is a witness and they get disfellowship from the congregation then nobody will talk to them because they are disfellowship the Bible clearly says that Jesus ate with sinners they asked him why he said he was here to save people that needed to be saved and the witnesses don't follow that when you are disfellowship they let you attend meetings but you have to sit in the back of the kingdom hall and nobody is allowed to talk with you and maybe after a few months the elders of the congregation will call you in and maybe they will reinstate you back in the congregation. You love people back in to the fold you don't shun them. The Bible concerning the prodigal son he left his parents home went away to do things his family wouldn't approve of comes back home and upon seeing his return they celebrated his return by having a big gathering. His father didn't tell him look I'm not sure your intentions are sincere so go out by the tree and hang out there for a few months and if I feel like you have learned your lesson I will let you back in the home. He didn't do that he was so happy his son returned and they had a big celebration of his return. But jehovahs witnesses doesn't follow that scripture they shun you when you get disfellowship so how is that following what the Bible teaches
Actually that’s in the Bible at Titus3:10 speaks on that. You keep the Congregation clean that way. If you want to get back in gd standing’s w/Jehovah that’s what you do. God has rules you have to live by going all the way back to Noah, Abraham, Israelites etc; You have to be in gd standing to go out in the Ministry, especially when you represent Jehovah & Christ!!

If someone is accused of CSA there are many forms of evidence not just eye witnesses, readily available by the authorities.
Why are child sexual abusers allowed to partake in all levels in the congregation without restraint?
Jehovah will continue to protect His people. The only organization that truly cares about his members and members of their community. The reason for the suspension is just the same reason they preach to people, love for God and their neighbors.

You had me questioning my belief in not only God but in the very essence of human nature and yet I didn’t break. I was alone and bereft and poor from working menial part-time jobs and still I didn’t break. You took away my belief in goodness and inspiration for quite some years but I wasn’t broken. Today my mind and soul are intact and in harmony, the discord has been replaced with tranquility. The fear and anxiety are all but forgotten. I am a mother, a wife, a daughter and a sister and hopefully a good friend to many, despite your attempts at taking all that away from me for your own selfish desires for power. I still have hairline fractures amongst my porcelain profile and probably always will but for the most part I am healed and smoothing out the rough edges. I no longer live in fear and dread of your power & authority for you hold nothing over me. Truth can be shouted from the rooftops, not doled out to a few in locked down committee rooms, sequestered and is not for sale. Humanity will prevail despite of you not because of you. Goodness and light will continue to thrive even when your façade is long forgotten. You may have left marks on my psyche but you didn’t steal my hope or faith. My value no longer consists of statistics and fakery and the days of my recruiting others into a “straw house” of deceit is long past. Our Kingdom Hall in the UK now has 4 Congregations meeting, allowing 2 local Kingdom Halls to close. Just a better way of spending resources.

@Fazzamania I care because I have respect for life. It’s a gift we should protect when it’s in our power to do so. That goes for ourselves and everyone in the communities we live in. We believe in Jesus Christ, which makes us a Christian faith. But I agree, we do believe differently than most all other Christian denominations. But the number of people in other faiths (Muslims, Jews, Christians, etc.) doesn’t have anything to do with us. We don’t expect that everyone will listen. In fact, quite the opposite. We know most people will not listen. We just do what Jesus taught and that’s all we can do.
And Jehovah didn’t kill people from Covid. He didn’t cause it to happen. It’s just part of the world we live in. So, we do our best to stay safe but obviously it isn’t going to protect everyone. Jehovah promises to reverse this suffering in the future and that is what we are hoping for and looking forward to.
@Fazzamania I’m sorry you are so upset. You must have some history and unresolved issues with this. As I said in my previous message, we do all we can to show respect for life and will do whatever is necessary to protect and save our lives when it’s in our power to do so. We NEVER celebrate death. However, we do draw the line at breaking God’s laws. For example, many of the JWs who died during the Holocaust could have chosen to denounce their faith and be set free by the Nazis, thus, saving their lives. But the vast majority did not do that and many lost their lives for it. They knew that denouncing their faith in Jehovah was worse than death.
When it comes to the issue of blood, it is our firm belief that blood is sacred to Jehovah and that he does not want us to use it in that way. We don’t eat it or take it into our bodies in any way. If someone were to die because they refused blood, despite all other medical efforts, their death is not celebrated. It is mourned and we are extremely sad about it. What is celebrated is that the person chose to remain faithful even until death and we trust that Jehovah will remember them for it.
The disfellowshipping arraignment is again something that was directed in the Bible by God and we follow God’s direction on it. It’s not something that is taken lightly and it isn’t done simply because someone disagrees with us.
I can tell you that all of us are human and sometimes people within our organization can and do make mistakes but most of us are sincerely trying to live our lives the way God wants us to. Nothing I’ve said is a lie and I’ve never found any lies coming from our publications or the direction we’ve been given. If something is proven to be inaccurate, they will publish that correction as well.

My alcoholic mother attempted to drown me as a baby, my dad & stepmother abused me, disowned my mixed race daughter at birth, had me jailed & my material banned for five years courtesy of Crown court. All of my belongings were then stolen by family & my daughter’s silence bought in exchange for disowning her dad. My Jehovah’s Witness aunt was also found to be abusing her young son & is still a Witness to this very day whereas I’ve been shunned & have had absolutely everything stripped or stolen from me except my dog. My one & only true friend. This world is a wicked place! 😥

Can only think this new shut down policy has another agenda maybe it's the only method to halt the child sex abuse if the offenders no longer have access to children at meetings & gatherings. Of the 3 cases of child sexual abuse I personally knew about growing up a JW, it was always the father, and in 2 cases their father was an elder. One impregnated his own daughter when she was 14 years old. He also made her get an abortion.
The child abuse problem is so bad in this religion. I thought it was only in my congregation, but now I find out it's a worldwide plague in the JW community. And all the while they were bashing the Catholic church for the same problem. At least the Pope publicly apologized to the victims. The only time the governing body will ever apologize is when they are forced to do so by the government, like they are in Australia. Now that they have joined the redress scheme, they have to apologize and compensate the victims monetarily.

What the organisation does to avoid reporting is to make use of the same loophole that the catholic clergy do. They claim the "clergy penitent privilege". This is based on the sanctity of the confessional and the supposed requirement for confidentiality. So JW elders claim to be clergy when they hear reports of child sexual abuse. Please do some research about this. If you believe elders are instructed to report allegations of child sexual abuse to the authorities then you have a false sense of security and your children may be at risk.

My friend recently visited an elderly JW lady who was making return visits with other JWs listening in to her phone conversations via zoom. The members of the public she was calling had no idea that three other people were listening in. Surely this is a breach of privacy not to mention extremely rude .

I find it slightly strange and amusing that they agree with virtually everything I say when I am an "apostate", (an extremely offensive term to refer to someone who has left the organisation, even for conscientious reasons.) Both of my callers knew me well while I was in "good standing" within their organisation and strangely neither of them recognised my voice on the phone. I have studied the JWs for 49 years. (Matt. 24:14) The gospel has to be preached to all the world before Jesus comes it did not happen in 1914. (Jude 1:14) (1 Thes. 3:13) Jesus when he does come he won't be alone. (John 1:9) Jesus presence never left the earth. So the theory of 1914 just bit the dust.

We’re still preaching, just not from to door. As the brother mentioned in the video, it’s not safe for us or the public to visit people in their homes right now. We value your life and ours. Also, there are governments already putting pressure on some of us in some countries to stop preaching but we continue to utilize whatever methods we can to continue the preaching work until Jehovah says the work is done.

Per Jesus’ instructions, if I encounter someone who says they’re not interested, I let my peace return to me and move on. I have no problem at all paying for postage myself and if a letter I’ve written is returned stating “not interested”, I know not to write that person again. Believe it or not, some are interested and welcome us.
Well consider the history of Jehovah's Witnesses in Nazi Germany. The preaching work was banned, and the Witnesses were put in concentration camps. Their courage in the face of brutal persecution is well documented.

Correct; our Governing Body saw these times were coming so had already arranged for many congregations to SHARE our very modest structures called Kingdom Halls. So now that we are in a pandemic and presently not using our Halls at all (in co-operation with governmental efforts to reduce community transmission), this is saving funds and maintenance work. But of course, our contributions are far from being 'saved' - every dollar is channelled into disaster relief and on the all-important bible education work Jesus assigned every genuine Christian to continue, particularly in these 'last days'. And the smart way is now thru amazing technology that can reach even remote corners of the globe! Centuries of failed experimentation with human rulership is soon to end; Jehovah's Witnesses are well set to continue their massive education program right thru the spectacular end of this system of things into Almighty God's restored earthly paradise. They are not building up their own careers or material possessions, but living a life of self-sacrifice in order to spend time helping their own fellow citizens. But of course, as in the day of Noah, the majority will not appreciate our efforts. Their choice.

After watching this video , and the jw spokesperson giving his opinion on things , the organization as a whole will still deny that they are nothing but a huge big business , and do what they do for the good of the all the lost souls out there..!! what a crock hey..!! bottom line is the organization does what it does for one reason and one reason only, that being recruitment , power, $$$$$$ , and control .....!! honestly, I don’t know why I watch this crap in the first place , because I always feel a little ill afterwards..!!!
It amazes me that they are so willing to give public statements when talking about the positive parts of their organization but when it comes to things like the shunning of their members, separation of families, the victim blaming in their judicial processes, the cover up of child sexual abuse and the lawsuits that result from their negligence, they are surprisingly incredibly absent in the media. There has been no public representative coming forward about how they've reluctantly joined the redress scheme in Australia to aid those abuse by this organization. It amazes me how much pride they have when they are so very irresponsible, and so very cruel.

Motivated by love but yet my wife of almost 30 years just ups and leaves me and I'm on disability, so without her income coming in. I find myself struggling to survive from month to month. I also just ran into another old brother and found out that he and his wife have divorced. I've studied with the JW's for over 20 years myself, but when I found that some of the teachings were not good and how some families have been destroyed by their teachings. It made me wonder and question things more and I began to do more critical thinking and research, and thus dropped out of serving. What can you tell me about this...?

This was done to discredit the deity of Christ. They call me an apostate but I have not added to the word of God nor taken away from it as they so conveniently have done to promote their false doctrine. I believe Deuteronomy has something to say about those who add to or take away from God‘s word and so does revelation.
We don't look at man as we all are imperfect fall short and err. Look at God's word the Bible for guidance, counsel etc. Many of us succeed because we struggle to please GOD no matter what because he takes care of everything if we trust HIM.

I wonder what they will say when this "overlapping generation" dies. When jesus was preaching he was preaching to fishermen and farmers. Simple people. He wasn't talking in riddles. When he said "this generation" he meant THIS GENERATION not two people who's lives happen to overlap. They're grasping at straws to explain why everyone alive to see 1914 have all gone but no armageddon. and when this "overlapping generation" goes without the "end coming" they will come up with another explanation.

The suspension of JW activity will hopefully allow victims of child abuse some room to breathe. I hope the coverup of children who are molested by JW elders, MS and other congregation members will slow down and be exposed during this time.

However, Watchtower’s policies in their Shepard the Flock secret manual for elders inevitably shields, habours and protects pedophiles as well as other criminals. The Australian Royal Commission exposed this in 2015 and there have been many insiders who have come forward and documentaries that have come out and exposed the poor handling of child sex abuse by Watchtower. Not only that, their refusal to change and adhere to laws to report alleged sex offenders to the police. These are facts. Check jwfacts.org for more info. I understand your passion, I am a former JW and completely understand where you’re coming from, but particularly as a woman, you can’t assure anyone of Watchtower policies and procedures because I know for a fact that women are not privy to what goes on in elder back rooms nor the millions of dollars in lawsuits Watchtower has recently had to pay out to victims of child sex abuse. Hopefully, one day you will wake up to these facts.

Did you know right now there are 2 elders in Illinois on trial for not reporting the abuse of a child in their congregation? They could go to prison for not reporting. The poor child was abused for 12 years and the elders did nothing.
@@louannad1 you are very mistaken. In the Australian Royal Commission the Government found that from over 1,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses abusers ZERO were reported to police. In Australia there are in the order of 700 Kingdom Halls so this type of abuse is a pandemic in your religion.
In addition testimony shows victims are often blamed and pressured into NOT going to the authorities. The number of victims grows while Jehovah’s Witnesses policies are found to protect abusers and further traumatise victims.
JWs were one of only five groups singled out for special recommendations to deal with their systemic abuse problems. This is all a matter of public record and I encourage everyone to look into the finds of the commission.

No impact at all NONE!! we have reached more people than ever and the response to letters has been astronomical. Jehovah always finds a way and will always support his people and will find those who need him. In our small and pretty elderly congregation, number I know of is 4 studies and 3 attending meetings!!.

Elders are really "company men" who act as human resource agents for the Watchtower organization.
Remember, human resource agents act only in the best interests of the company.
Elders search out any who are not loyal to the company, and those who are not actively supporting the policies and mission; as well as, individuals who are not reaching established goals within the corporation.
All of these individuals threaten the profitability and outward reputation of of the company, and may affect others in the organization.
When individuals inside of the organization/corporation have learned of hypocritical actions, deceitful policies, or lies regarding the actions of representatives of corporation, departments or heads of the corporation (Governing Body) and begin exposing these...
Elders (human resource agents of the Watchtower ) are assigned to eliminate or lessen the effects of "whistle blowers" by labeling them "apostates".
Once they identify an individual as a "whistle blower" they follow well established company rules and actively pursue any threat that may expose secretive practices, hypocrisy, or harmful or illegal actions that may impact company's profitability.
Elders follow corporation guidelines set forth in the exclusive manual for elders, entitled: "Shepherd the Flock of God" published by the WTBTS.
1. To become informed as to the level of knowledge and information a potential whistle blower possesses.
2. Have a formal meeting (Judicial Committee hearing) with them to ascertain the level of dissent or waning support for the organization and threat they pose to the corporation.
3. Formally put the whistle blower on notice their actions constitute disloyalty to the corporation and they will be "fired" from the company losing all benefits and any ties to other members of the corporation.
4. During a congregation meeting ( regularly scheduled corporation workshop) announce the "firing" of those who have failed to follow corporate rules.

Curious how things that were staples of the witnesses - those who set themselves apart standing in in defiance against the pledge of allegiance, celebrating holidays, joining the military etc could be sidelined by a government telling them they have to make this change.
While you state you go door to door out of love it is a requirement with number hours actually required to be in service. How do you justify this to those who could not meet those requirements for other reasons in the past or those that don't ever want to go back to door to door?? Who is deciding exactly what that guideline and expectation is and where do they get the authority to do so for things of this nature?

When I read the Bible it says to take communion until Jesus christ returns and that at that time is when Jesus will take communion again. - He told the deciples at the last supper that he would not eat or drink of those elements again until his return and that it should be done in remembrance of him until he returns
So my question is- without even mentioning the who can or cannot take it issue, is if the witnesses believe that Jesus already returned in 1914 when he said the witnesses were the ones on the earth giving truth and then entrusted to be his mouthpiece so to speak for the world, then why are they still doing it?
The memorial talk addressed that. Those who accepted the memorial invitation learned about the purpose of the celebration of Christ's death (Luke 22:19,20)

Verses 14-19 however give a fuller picture and state that it he will not eat or drink of the vine again until his return - then he tells then to do this in remembrance of him
( remembering until his return where he would do it again also) so how do you explain that he has already returned and why is this still being done?

After Judas Iscariot left Jesus instituted the Lord's evening meal which only those who will be resurrected to heaven to rule with Christ for 1,000 years over paradise on earth partake of the bread and wine(Luke 22 vss 19,20;Rev 20:4-6). Jesus' "presence" came at the beginning of the time of the end which is Now (Matt 24:3,7,8,14). So those who have been chosen to rule with Christ in heaven and had died Jesus rejoiced when they have been resurrected to heaven. The Lord's evening meal will continue to be celebrated annually until the end comes and all those chosen to rule with Christ are in heaven and then it won't be celebrated ever again under heavenly kingdom rule in paradise on earth.
