Why are Madrid Metro trains so narrow?; there’s a perfectly good reason why the trains for deep level London Underground trains are narrow, because in the late 19 and early 20th centuries capital for building Underground lines was raised by entrepreneurs and bankers, who had more limited funds, so smaller diameter tunnels had to be built which could only accommodate narrow trains. But the Madrid Metro was built some 60 years after the London Underground, they could have built wider trackbeds to accommodate wide trains of 9’6” width; judging from the thumbnail photo it appears that Madrid Metro trains are about 8’ft wide which is way too narrow. Mind you Paris Metro trains are also ridiculously narrow ie 8’ft width
Pablo Calvache al reves las 8400* suenan como las 3,000 devido a que en las linias 3,8,9,10,11,12 tienen la misma electrificacion a peesar de que son de bitencion (se adaptan a dos tipos de electrificación) y en la 6 suenan diferentes por que la electrificacion es diferente

From lines 1 to 5, the trains are narrow. The other lines do not have narrow trains.
