Fasting is also powerful for manifesting. Fasting is one of several "existential manifesting techniques". Gasping for air, starving for food, procreation and fight or flight are others. The universe is always there to help you survive when you need help the most. But you can request the type of help it supplies. As crazy and bizarre as it seems, holding your breath until you get what you want really does have the potential to manifest your intention. Fasting with an unwavering visualization of a desired state can as well, for instance if you have a health problem and are fasting, the intensity and urgency of your starvation might stir the universe to find a way for you to get food and survive. However, if instead while you are hungry as heck you visualize being 100% healthy while you are feeling intense need for food the universe instead gifts you good health to ensure your survival.

My uncle has been fasting for one day a week for over 30 years, he only drinks water and on regular days doesn't mix meat with carbs. He also does oil pulling, and drinks aloe vera mixture he prepares with garlic and lemon. This is so true. I went back to my mother's remote village in Papua New Guinea. Every morning, food wasn't just there. They wouldn't even eat fruits readily available first thing in the morning. Instead the activity was fishing- be it on a canoe or from a large bamboo surf rod. It took time. So from a natural wake up at about 5.15am - 10-20 mins to sunrise - we wouldnt eat until about 9am. You eat if you want to eat, and eat until satiated. Then rest or do things in the village, until we need to fish again or go to the gardens which weren't in the village. Even for water you'd have to walk to retrieve it from an underground cave. After 4 days of my 14 day trip, my body had adjusted, no pain, no brain fog. It was incredible.

I’m 57, going through menopause, morbidly obese going through a lot of stress in my personal life and fasting is saving my life!! I have been doing a 36-40 hour test a week and it has really bolstered my confidence that I can do hard things. I’ve been doing IF for the past 6 weeks or so and have lost about 15 lbs, have seen some positive changes in my skin, my sleep, and my whole relationship with food.
A surprising side effect during the 36-40 hour fast is that when I go to bed slightly uncomfortable from not eating for so long, slightly hungry, it has made me more aware of what it feels like for those people who go to sleep hungry because they have no food. It’s made me aware and I’m motivated to help those in need. That’s not something I was expecting. It’s humbling to realize that most of us don’t have any idea what real hunger feels like.

I'm also 45, been fasting 16-24 hours for 8 years now. I'm never sick and I look younger than everybody my age.
IF won't do much to cure depression in my experience, but it has an amazing effect on healing your body. If you can do 24 hour fasting that's great.
But don't forget the electrolytes. If you get cramps take pinch of sea salt and chug some water.
To cure depression I suggest micro dosing on magic mushrooms. A week or two and the depression is gone. Plus it promotes brain plasticity so you will get smarter as well. It actually works, without any side effects. What the doctor gives you don't work or is close to placebo and it has horrible side effects. I've tried them all.
Do these two things and you will feel like 20 again.
It would be interesting to hear about your results, keep me updated. If you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them.
      Good luck stranger! :)
EDIT: I almost forgot, if you're not already doing it, you need to take vitamin D3 (5000 IU), Omega3, amino acids and a high quality multi vitamin every day. And I suggest switching to sea salt instead of regular rock salt to get all the minerals you need. Now you are all set!

45:00 I had a garden injury during Covid and struggled to get an appointment. It affected my groin area and also found I was limping from time-to-time when my leg would give out from under me. I thought perhaps it was a hairline fracture. The pain came on when I was double-digging and hit a huge rock with my spade. The pain lasted weeks. I tried everything in my holistic toolbox and the pain continued. Armed with the knowledge of cell repair I then decided to do a water fast, and after that, the pain was gone, never to return again.
Did you know that when you fall ill and find that you're not feeling hungry, it's actually your body's clever way of starting to mend itself? Here's how it works in simple terms.
Normally, your body uses a lot of energy to digest food. When you're sick, your body decides to use that energy for healing instead of digestion. So, it reduces your appetite to shift the focus.
If you have an infection, eating less can sometimes help your body fight it off better. Certain germs thrive on the sugar and iron in our food, so by eating less, you're cutting off their supply.
Think of it like closing a busy road to fix it properly. When you're not eating much, your body gets a chance to repair itself without the extra work of digesting food as your body refocuses' its energy for repair. What a wonderful healing machine we have!

Day 2 and 3 are the worst, after that I can begin to drink more try some chicken Bouillon and start to get better. Only thing I need is a bucket, water and 3 days sleep. And now I know why. Hi Anna Maria my name is Agnes Teresa Maria nad my daughters name Anna that's why it took my attention to read your message. I am also from Eastern Europe. I ah e learned about my period in the most horrific way when I was a teen, got up at night to pee and screamed bloody murder in the middle of night , I thought I'm dying that's it's end of me. My Grandparents , my aunt with baby and uncle , my Mom bursted into the bathroom and all started to laugh. I was told I am a woman now. That's how my womanhood issues started, shame. I educated my children the minute their puberty started about period and not to mention I project my menstruation fear on them. It was not celebrating being a woman it was a curse. My whole life to the point my uterus was removed. That's how your mind works!!!! My children already knew about menstruation, sex from internet and school. There is a lock of proper education I think and too much tabu and politics and we women suffer! Men- o- pause ? I had no idea what it is until I and my baby and my body went into menopause at age 33!!!! I am 51 and still going!! Because there is pre, menopause, and post. Fasting, vegan diet, hydration, yoga helped me so much with symptoms. The sooner you start changing your diet and cutting crap food, coke, Pepsi, chips , and stresssssssssssss eliminate as much as you could. And I eat when I'm hungry , sometimes I don't eat at all. And I'm ok. And do I over eat? I can't.

@@carolinerobertson2091Try to eat more protein first, then green vegetables and fiber. For example, some fish or chicken with a green salad with only lime and salt. Also, you can eat black beans or kidney red beans for your fiber portion. You can use another fiber resource you like; remember, they are an excellent source of carbohydrates, too. Most importantly, remove sugar from your drinks and food and change white flour products. I lost 14 lbs in one month and then 6 lbs in the second month. She is looking and feeling younger than she was 5 years ago. But the most important thing of all the benefits she's seen is probably self-confidence because she proved to herself that she can do something so significant. I'm so Proud of her. This was the best talk you ever had in this podcast, hands down. I could not stop listening to it. I have been intermittent fasting for nearly 2 years, but I've learned so much more today. I bought the book... This, what this incredible woman is saying, is gold dust! I will take my fasting to a new level because of her. People, humans, need to stop thinking of food all the damn time, we are not designed for this. 4 meals a day, 6 meals a day, snacks. We need to stop doing what the food industry is asking us to do. Eat ourselves to death...

I am on carnivore diet and I do intermittent fasting and I have noticed hot flashes are less frequent. Frankly, menopause royally sucks and the belly bloat and brain fog are maddening. I won't do hormone replacement because I don't want to increase risk of breast cancer. I was always going to take hrt as being in full blown MP at just 40 is very undesirable. I know it may sound lame but I was tremendously concerned with accelerated aging. Not just on my face but in my body, brain fog, aching joints, weight gain… I have certainly experienced these but not on the level of my 2 friends who cannot take HRT bc their endo was unable to be completely removed. My point of writing this is to say please do not needlessly suffer. Research & advances have been made since our mothers took hrt. Should you find yourself losing your hair, sex drive, dry skin, night sweats, excessive anger & mood swings to name a few- give hrt a try for a couple of months. This lady is absolutely spot on. I suffered sepsis last year and it took me a long time to recover physically and for many months I still felt weak and shakey. I was very overweight (110kg) and had been for most of my adult life. Back in November I read a brief article on intermittent fasting and thought sod it, give it a go! I'm now 87 kg so still have a way to go but feel so much better in myself. I have breakfast and lunch no later than 1pm and then nothing but water after that. The only thing I've cut out of my diet is processed foods, I make my own bread and biscuits. I eat cheese, real butter red meat and pretty much everything else as long as it's home made. I can now exercise which I wasn't able to face before. Anyone reading this who's having doubts, just give yourself a month and stick to it strictly. If it works out for you and you start seeing the weight go down it becomes a lot less difficult, you'll find yourself doing it gladly. You'll soon realise that what you thought was hunger is actually just cravings but you'll feel so proud in yourself with each day that you stuck to it :)

Now. Start while the idea is fresh in your mind. Take PTO a week, I personally drive to city far from my own. Don't touch social media. And just start drinking water. Go as long as your body can handle. I fasted 4 days, I had no energy, I just drank water and slept. At one point my body started puking out all the water I drank but get this, it WAS NOT CLEAR. On day 4 my body was getting rid of toxins in the only way it could. In addition, sweat! I would turn the shower on super hot, let the bathroom transform into a sauna and let the toxins come out through your skin(in a hotel, i would not do this in my own home). When you reach the point where you KNOW you can't keep going, ease the food back in. Just like she said, introduce healthy small portions of food. Then just don't stop this new habit and intermediate fast daily. Do these long fasts when you either find yourself turning to back to the bad habits. Bless Dr Mindy. I've followed her for years and because of her I prevented a spinal fusion. I do a 72-hr water fast about twice a year. 1st time I was due for a 3rd low back surgery (fusion) and at the 72 hour mark of my water fast the skeletal/muscular stem cells produced to such a degree that the stabbing pain due to my herniation at L5-S1 that I had for over 10 years was 100% gone. No surgery. No injections. Just extended water fasting with sufficient electrolytes (super important). That was a little over 3 years ago. Pain still gone and I just came off 7th 72 hr water fast last week. I'm just shy of 60-years-old.

Great info! I've been working on reducing severe blood clotting issues. I knew the problem and its solution was internal when I first noticed my leg swelling and immediately learned of 3 enzymes and diet changes, so started that asap.
It's been 7 months my way vs GP & Vasc Drs & $$$ pills that did nothing good. I still have a slightly swollen ankle, still working on it, but no leg distress. I could improve more, I do like some alcohol, I'm a munch, need to walk the dogs more - no 64yr old Angel here.
Now I've watched this - I'd be gobsmacked if a 72 hr fast would reset it all. This Dr Mindy certainly clarified why & how fasting works, couldn't get more 'root cause' than a base cellular 'reset'. HMMMM No clotting, less achy pains, energy, clarity .....
You do this twice a year??? I could do that! Great idea, Thank you!

I’m sorry, I know know to many selfish, narcissistic, bitter, misandric women out here! And yes I’m seeing good men being trampled on and over because women even lower tier women think that they can do better. And since that’s the case there is no incentive for women to be kind hearted, generous, caring and empathetic!
Finally, it’s a bad sign when people are talking about one specific thing, group or set, then have someone deflect from the argument by comparing something completely different.
And the main reason this happens is because women have been taught to compete with men!

I am in perimenopause and starting intermittent fasting when my mothers memory went and dementia took hold. I was fasting all wrong (for a girl) and although i was seeing some benefits, I wasn’t feeling that much better. Once I found Mindys You tube channel, that all changed. I am about to complete my 2nd round on the 30 day reset fast and its a game changer. I was afraid I’d put back the weight suddenly eating more after months of 20 hour fasts. The opposite happened. My sleep improved, my mood improved. The night sweats have reduced in severity. I dont weigh myself but i have lost belly fat, which has been next to near impossible for me in the past. It’s not hard to do, and I am razor sharp and focused while I’m fasting. The hunger is just a wave that leaves within a few minutes. I recommend getting to know your hormones and following Mindys channel. And if called, get her book, but really she offers so much on line that you could do with the videos only if you’re strapped for cash like many of us are these days.

I woke up at 6am, bright, happy, energetic, very zen.. worked out like crazy.. and this is in contrast to being my normal (autistic) self - low energy, mildly frustrated all the time, extremely low testosterone, sore joints, back pain.. all that melted away when I was pregnant. Now at age 55, I'm fasting for the first time and it's FINALLY helped to bring me back to that balance I felt when I was pregnant. I know, weird! Thanks Dr Mindy!
