A few things on the Osbscura boss fight: 1) I managed to beat her with only a handful of pistol bullets (and 1 sniper rifle round) shooting her in the camera. 2) I stayed mostly around a single rectangular pillar - one without a desk in the way - and she never even went on the ceiling. 3) After the fight, your shock bolt was still sitting behind city hall when you came out. You could have picked it up (mine was still there and the Guardian actually hit it) - great strategy BTW
Late comment but you're right, the pistol is the best weapon against Obscura. I also used a smoke bolt by accident during the fight and it seems to work well on her, keeping her in place while the timer runs.
dude, your guide so far has helped me greatly....just got my 2nd save on this evil evil mode...I had a few close calls and a few hiccups, but your walkthrough has helped amazingly Also, that ladder trick at ch 4 was funny as hell, especially when the enemies climb through you
I am very late in the game here but I have decided to replay both Evil Within games and decided to try classic mode, soI hope you do see this comment, what you said about the game crashing, dude that has happened to me numerous times on both games!!! I decided to try classic mode and use your videos as a guide ( EXTREMELY helpful by the way so thank you) and after hearing that comment you made about your game crashing, now im fearful of it happening again lol

Those enemies who you keep calling witches, they're actually called Hysterics. The enemies that vomit acid on the player's face, they're called Laments.
One thing fun I found about the guardian fight, she will not go directly in front of the truck cargo door...the one on its side. I go there, into the truck to make sure, and I can rest and, break all the boxes there .When she'd moves away, sneak to the bushes and carry on. I've even done that, gone to the back area and looted though she did show up eventually to chase me as I took my time. I ended up just running back to the truck, waiting for her to run off and then sneaking though bushes back to the back door. That way you can loot a lot and still be mostly safe.
She is talking about chapter 5. On the left side you see a truck with some oil around it. Get in this truck. She will try to destroy it, but fail and will lose interest then. You can loot the boxes then and make your way to the left side around the house. Be careful. She could spot you when you shoot the first barrier. If that happens run back in the truck. When she doesn't follow you anymore you can go on. You can also pass by the backdoor first cause there is a lot of loot waiting for you.
Persnikity i wanna thank for your guidance.Iam big fan of the series but i never made 100% completetion.I gave up AKUMU but back then in 2014 i was 42 and away from games since 1999(tomb raider 2 last game).Now six months after finishing survival in e .w.2,i deciide to go for the platinum .Yesterday i managed to save my game before facing Stefano.My game and my nerves crashed twice just like yours.Finally i can continue.I follow you step by step,except some stealth kills.I couldn't pass the room in the 2nd painting your way ,so i stealth killed them one by one .PS : an advice if someone reads it.E.W.2 has an excellent stealth mechanism.The enemies aren't stupid so you can follow them around ,one chance if you start the aproach BUT PRESS CONTINUENTLY X ,Seb pulls out the knife,then you know ,don't wait the symbol to appear.This way you press X just the right moment and make fantastic sneak kills even through corners and more.Its something i mastered.Sorry if i wrote too much but it was first time in your channel.AGONY is waiting because of classic mode .Bye
After the fight with Obscura, when you get out of the City Hall building, you should take a look around the building: al resources and crates are vanished, but all the resources from the crates you exploded during the escape to enter the building will be there.
In chapter 7 you don't have to kill any enemy in the city at all. Maybe only the one on the way to the theater. I recommend to go around the house on the left side after you got you new main objective. Go to the gas station and stay close to the wall. When you walk into the right direction around the corner to the entrance of the house. There is a key on the left side of that door. You can get it without triggering this thing which is coming from the sky. Then go back and walk around this house, walk by the diner, over the street and run straight into the house with your first main objective. After getting this you can just run the street down to the second one. After you finished this you can run back all the way you came. You will only see the guardian. Try to sneak by and run. For ps4 players I recommend to save now before going to the theater. You will have to spend some extra minutes each time you die against Stefano, but just in case the game crashes. It's better to play 5 minutes again, than 2 hours.
I would agree that, I think you do heave a pretty entertaining voice. How I was able to listen through the whole play through. Not a lot of ppl have that ability.

While following this guide my game crashed in the midst of Chapt' 8 just before the second save, at 22:48 (local time, not time-stamp). Superb work so far and super helpful, but I'm throwing in the towel for tonight. Thanks again.
Hey man thanks for the video but id like to add some things for new people that are gonna watch this. So basically before you go into city hall the fight with the big lady begins what you wanna do is throw a smoke bolt at her feet and just go for the side door so you wont have to use anything else. Second thing is when you go out of the city hall sometimes the items in the alley you use are still there from the boxes you exploded right now i scrapped from there around 15 powder. 3rd thing i wanna point out is when you go back to the marrow before going into the small tunnel where you say there is a room with an enemy id say go for it the enemy sits in a corner next to the door so its actually 1 shot with the shotgun and there you get a pouch for extra pistol ammo. Now when you go in tunnel where you suppose to go if you go the wrong way above you there is a statue free key. I am at 45 mins now so i dont know if i am gonna find more ! cheers! thanks for the video again i am using it for my run after so many failed attempts xD
Soooo after destroying both pictures and opening the entrance to the theater I decided to run back to the safe house to save my game. Didn't want to risk losing a whole afternoon worth of gameplay to a crash or dying during Stefano's first phase. I get safely to the safe house, when suddenly I think: "My game hasn't crashed yet, I guess I'm in the clear to get some of the shooting gallery done, right... RIGHT?!". You probably know by now where this is going... _Once upon a midnight dreary, while I shooted, weak and weary,_ _Over many a quaint and curious targets of hallowed foes -_ _While I shooted, nearly finishing, suddenly there came a warning,_ _And my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for not finding the Core._ _“’Tis cannot be” I muttered, “and error has ocurred-_ _Would you like to send a report?”_
Haha, Gingerbread Man, sweet trick with the ladder. I love things like that which turn a nerve-wracker into a laugher... it offers quite a boost to morale. Although I'll admit I enjoyed watching you ex those enemies in your earlier walkthrough (and it was the first time I saw you take on a Witch if I'm not mistaken). That system crash sounds like a nightmare. The thought of going through it myself almost brought me to tears. I probably would have searched around the room in confusion for a few minutes trying to discover the culprit, then when none could be found I would have quietly retreated to a secluded place so that I could destroy something with my bare hands by bending, tearing or throwing. Heh, my fury needs catharsis. I'm rarely pushed to the brink, but that sounds like a good candidate. To answer your question, I think you'd make a fine baseball commentator or anything really on radio/TV. Your tone is not robotic or silly, which is crucial to my mind. Your spur of the moment insights and extrapolations from the subject are always relevant, interesting and entertaining. You're not bashful about discussing exactly what's happening and why it's happening (or why it could have happened differently) at any given moment. You freely and intelligently opine on the value of certain decisions and events. What more can a listener ask for?
*Sigh* All right, I've made it to the second save. Again I did a few things differently here and there, played more on the safe side... Also saved before stepping into the theater 'cause if I had to do this shit a third time due to a crash I'd end up strangling my pets in frustration. I'm annoyed in anticipation thinking that I'll have to do the Arkham Asylum part every time I die to Stefano, but at least I'm making progress. Thank you again for your guides, your strategies are great and the narration is very pleasant to listen to.

When I got to the back of city hall (inside the door and closed) I somehow took damage. Game very glitchy. I agree, your voice is made for radio broadcasting, news or sports. ✌️
I decided to save right before Chapter 8 gets started, after burning down the paintings. I am so glad that I did, because it crashed when I got to the theater. Holy shit.
Sooooo, My game crashed before the Stefano fight and I wasn't mad but it make me laughed at the moment when you said; ":good luck, hopefully your game don't crash"; couple seconds later, my game crashed
Just finished the first part up until you return to O'neal and so far everything is pretty smooth and flawless, although the pressure is a lot higher than it was on nightmare obviously. I can't really agree with you on the stealth topic though, I think it's actually pretty good in this game compared to the first one. I got quite a lot of resources and every key in chapter 3 without really firing a single bullet unless I had to. There was one exception at the junkyard where I set the two lost at the door switch on fire and where I blew up the two at the entrance to the junkyard, but otherwise there's no need for combat if you're patient. What I really dread is the fire walk, my first playthrough was on nightmare and I hated every second of it, especially now since you basically have to "waste" a save on it, one for before and one for after- I'd prefer to have one backup save for before the Myra battle, but I guess I have to do it first try now since I'll probably play it safe. About the crash issue (I'm on PS4 btw): I think so far it crashed 3 or 4 times for me and I think at least three times I was getting into or out of the marrow, so it may be best to avoid using it if you don't have to go there. Edit: And it crashed two more times, obviously during my classic mode attempt during chapter 6 with the white bastard and then again close to the theatre in chapter 7 ... I wanna punch some developers in the face for this half-assed attempt of throwing some more challenge into the game and for all the stupid crashes -_-
not sure if my info are so old but its one hit with shock bolt when obscura jump to the sealing is enough to resume the timer and btw ur voice is fine its amazing too tbh . keep it on
hey.i just realized that if you go back to the lockdown area (the one with the ladder trick) after draining the water in the next area. all enemies will be gone and you are free to pick the items in the rooms with no risk (around. 15 handgun bullets and some gunpowder)
The two enemies under the townhall are easy to kill too. Just quickly get in cover behind the two boxes. The first enemy will come very close to you, but keep calm and he won't see you. As soon as he turns around follow and sneakkill him. For the second enemy wait until she walks to the exit then sneakkill her
yeah your voice is great, you also more calm which creates your voice and using proper language as oppose to many other commentary i hear. and thanks for the walkthrough, it is helping alot. even though im not doing classic run, this walkthrough giving me a lots of tips and tricks.
also there is one thing i notice with the final boss fight. when i watched you kill it during final phase, you had to hit her so many time until it died. for me all it took was 1 explosive bolt on the forehead this i did in classic. later i did that again in survival mode, 1 explosive bolt wasn't enough, took me 3 bolt to finish. i don't know how the game decide this. maybe when i was fighting her in her previous phases, i missed some shot and hit her body instead of weak point. maybe those shot took some of her health away. either way im glade i finished the classic mode. that final boss i had to kill her 20-30 times cause of her instant grab attack. rest of the fight was flawless but that instant grab attack would always kill me because i could not spot where my character is shooting because of the white background and the gun aiming mark was also white which blended in. it felt so unfair.
i wanna point out a glitch, if u want to activate the door (13:28), u can just do INVESTIGATE on the switch board and the acid-throwing creature would do nothing until u r out of that electrical panel, but as soon as u leave the electrical panel, she may attack u there, so u need to run as quickly as u can to avoid it ...
Very nice guide nik. I died at chapter 3 because some other guide went me to dangerous location was pissed to restart over because zombie was under car killed me. I panicked at chapter 3 warehouse because zombie spotted me and all of them chased me so i lost all ammo trying to survive. I saved 1 time at chapter 5 before guardian fight, my ammo is ok and honestly am feeling good. I will be using your guide further on
Thanks man kept debating saving right before 7 as there's a lot to do and time to lose if I made any mistakes there (kept dying to marrows knife lady and dumb saw boss before I found this) but your guide got more through it (even slid in getting the full-barrel shotgun and Anima quest towards revolver! Whew) and got to save right before Stephano part 2!
Honestly Anima (at least the first 2 parts) is incredibly easy even my Classic, she still has the same pattern. Obviously the chance of a one hit kill is stressful (having to go back it chapter 4 woulda suckeddd) but beyond that will be worth it for the extra revolver damage, just wish it was attainable before the cabin fight hah. Also fun fact in getting the key of the shotgun shed, maybe it was just a glitch but I didn't inspect the resonance where the key is and the saw lady never spawned as I walked back. Made doing that a little less stressful.
I don't know if anyone else discover this but if an enemy is aware of your presence your hud will show. That as helped me out a lot playing in classic mode.
I noticed that too. Your hud will always show if an enemy is looking for you, and even if the enemy is trying to ambush you, waiting for you to pick an item or walk some specific place before jumping on you.
Man I know what you mean about playing through and then crashing... I saved a bit before the warehouse as I went for some extra goodies. Was doing the gun range and it crashed... Will try get back on it tomorrow haha
After stealth killing nearly every enemy in Chap 3 and collecting the handgun pouches, shotgun pouch, 270 gunpowder 15 fuses, 7 keys sniper rifle it took 4 hours and lots of running away, I get to the safe house after the Chap 4 lockdown, thinking Im safe decide to go to the shooting range and CTD. OUCH. Did it all again, saved this time. So it is possible for those with the patience, time and shamelessness to run. I didn't try to take on the second wave once you finish the warehouse battle The enemies have bad sight and will only chase so far before giving up.

Yep _ he just killed me. I am enraged. For some reason I just can't see the reticle with all the white, and I have to shoot blind. It's freaking impossible. Absolutely the hardest part of the game for me. And I have to play all of chapters 4,5, and 6 just to get a crack at it.
Leon Kennedy I started a separate playthrough on Nightmare to practice aiming at the white goo head. I just can't believe such a simple aim and shoot QuickTime event downed me and I was feeling so confident. I'm going to pace myself a bit though. It would be torture to try and do as much as one can in a few sessions.
Leon Kennedy that's why the second saves will be after that. Don't want to start again for that quicktime thing. I will prefer to go 1 chapter more than repeat that lucky event

Yeah you know i came till chapter 7 to the first picture , where you have to get the key out of the zombiehand, and while you wanna go back, the zombies spawning. The right strategy in classic mode is "no risks" . But as stupid as i am, while that witch was following me, i thought "hey know what you wanna fight lets fight!" ... yeah turned out that she killed the fuck outta me lol. This thing is so fucking quick ans strong At the same time, every time i hear or see her i Start sweating, cause when i die i have to start all over again. So fucking difficult man.
I feel for you man, and I hope you get through it, but let me just say your comment made me laugh really hard. When I read "she killed the fuck outta me" I lost it hahaha. I get so many comments, but I can't remember one making me laugh as much as yours did!
I had to save at the beginning at ch7. I had to play through this 8 times due to crashes and glitches in ch7 on ps4. Very annoyed at the developers for not patching this.
Yeah that's a real shame. It amazes me how many players experienced crashes in this game :/ sorry to hear it man! Hope you were able to get through it eventually!
PersNikity just kind of a pain, I took a break from it. I got through the painting section, stefano but died with the dumb Hysteric cause Sebastian decided that sticking to the wall was better than running. Ill probably picknit back up tonight.
for the saw lady boss fight in front of city hall, i shot 2 shock bolts. after the obscura fight i came back and saw she never triggererd them and the game didnt despawn them. so you actually can come back and pick them up again.
I usually kill the pale ladies if they're not with other zombies because her memory is incredibly short and you can lose her in a second. The first time I was in that hall, I knifed her then just ran around the pillar that is right beside her and she forgot me that fast. ;) I was a little stunned.
Ok i finally cooled off, i tried again to get to second save on classic and found that in city hall after running away from boss. In the room you enter u dont have to spend any ammo theres a invisible wall enemies can get to you, they will see u but back off n reset. Just stay near stairs!
I shot an electric bolt before hitting the gate and Obscura was right on my ass. I got through the gate, it shut, and she stabbed me through the gate! I lost 3/4 of my life but I didn't die thank God
damn lmao you almost quit your channel because of that crash. i feel you. after learning of that possibility it's made the playthrough on classic mode 10x more stressful.
ive actually taken a break from my classic run lol. my latest save is right before the white goo monster. im trying to get all the way to after the stefano boss fight...but ive died at least once to each painting section you have to destroy.
The witches are called hysterics, I believe. - I got the names from the Prima strategy guide. There's a section in it that details all the enemy types.
Hey man. First of all, this is an excellent guide and I want to say thanks for taking the time out to make this. It’s incredibly useful! But I want to ask your advice on something. So I’m very close to my platinum, and one of the few trophies I have left is to find all the weapons, (only have beaten the game on survival). So in chapter 7, I have to do all the side quests in order to get the silenced pistol. Well I tried saving Sykes last night and yeah, didn’t go so great. Died and went back to my chapter 4 save. Is it wise to keep trying or should start a new game on nightmare and get the get the weapon trophy that way? (trying to avoid that, if possible). I could make a save at the start of chapter 7, but I don’t want to waste saves. Thanks again!
Wait, let me make sure I understand. Are you trying to get these other trophies during your classic playthrough? I would say right off the bat scrap that idea if you are. Not that its not do-able. But I think its just way easier to focus on classic mode without worrying about anything else. I know the idea of starting a new game afterwards sucks, but you'll have the brass knuckles! One other idea, not sure if it'll work. When next you save your game, save on a new file that way once you beat Classic mode you can go back to the save you're on right now. Then, not sure if this will work, you can maybe lower the difficulty and play from there with ease? But wait until you beat classic mode to do it. Does that make sense!

Ah fucksake, my second run is Classic and I got caught in Ch6 trying to shoot that arm. The aiming system is so shit. Luckily I made my first save just before Ch5 so it shouldn't take too long to get back there again.
Ugh! I made it all the way to the end of the last painting and was outside the door that leads to the bar and as soon as the Guardian ran towards the bus that's when I made my move and started running towards the other end of the street. So naturally, I thought that I was safe when suddenly, I heard giggling behind me and sure enough there she was chasing me for some unknown reason! Let's just say that after I tried to dodge her a second time she got me as I was climbing over a fence. Grrrr. Now i have to redo the Obscure boss fight again. *cries*
OMG!!!! 1st time I died on the chapter 5 guardian encounter, no saves - my fault. 2nd time I glitched out of the map after in the 4th chapter. Both times I spent HOURS clearing chapter 3 so I could stock up supplies including all keys and bags.

It's impossible to get past Post Plus, it crashes every single attempt. What's strange is that it only happens on Classic Mode when you have limited saves and still to this day hasn't been fixed?
I got to the Jizz Monster and couldn't shoot it in time, The Aiming sensitivity is heightened in the moment and is way too loose for me so I can't get the cursor where I need it to be in time. It completely through me off going from tight aiming sensitivity to loose aiming sensitivity.
Glad to finally see someone else having the same problem, it means i'm not the only one lol completing the game on classic mode is the only trophy left for me to platinum and it's impossible because it crashes everytime. This shit needs a patch asap. Btw what platform are you on? I'm on ps4
So it seems to be a problem only ps4 owners have? I already played on nightmare, i'm putting myself through the classic mode torture for the platinum but if this issue doesn't get fixed soon then i might have to give up on it :/
Infamous Cooper so much yes!!!! The game crashed 4-5 times on my nightmare playthrough and i was about to start classical but then thought about the crashes and how i would destroy everything if this happens after hours of flawless gameplay maybe ... so i wait now until a patch comes out!
The black painting with the white witch everytime i go near the boxes where she is located she growls and comes looking for me i can't get anywhere near that room so i can't try the shock bolt where the gate is at all I've got a small cache of ammo too, any help please.
This guide really useful, was playing chp7 classic and was about to enter room to destroy 2nd painting then it happen! Game crash!=/ was going to save my second save! This so sucks im done with classic mode!
Oh no! That sucks! For me, when my game crashed in ch. 8 I almost quit. I almost through the disk out the window. But I just put it down for a day and the next morning I was good to keep going. I would encourage you to just take a slight break and then try again!
I got caught by the Guardian soon after burning the second painting. She even hit me once and drained most of my health. My last save was on Chapter 3 lol, and I barely made it to the safehouse. Stressful as hell.

Now crashed on the second painting. Beyond pissed off. Took me 2 hours of carefully collecting everything too. Edit - third attempt, got to the eye in the sky bit, got caught, died. I'm done.
Dude I'm really sorry to hear about the game crashing stuff. That's really heartbreaking, no excuse on the developer's end for that crap. But if I can offer one piece of advice; put the game down for a day or so. There were a few times for me where I swore I was going to quit. I stopped playing for a day, cleared my head, cam back fresh and often times got past the part I was having trouble with right away. I hope that helps!
Yeh I started again last night and got upto Ch6 before I made by first save. Will cost me any frustration if it does crash from now on or if I accidently miss the Watcher. Next save will be just before Ch8 boss fight.
Everything was going perfectly fine, until chapter 7 I didn't shoot the lighting arrow to stall the Obscura and she killed me. Pretty frustrating. EDIT: the game crashed just after I passed the white whites.

One thing fun I found about the guardian fight, she will not go directly in front of the truck cargo door...the one on its side. I go there, into the truck to make sure, and I can rest and, break all the boxes there .When she'd moves away, sneak to the bushes and carry on. I've even done that, gone to the back area and looted though she did show up eventually to chase me as I took my time. I ended up just running back to the truck, waiting for her to run off and then sneaking though bushes back to the back door. That way you can loot a lot and still be mostly safe.

on chapter 5 or 7
She is talking about chapter 5. On the left side you see a truck with some oil around it. Get in this truck. She will try to destroy it, but fail and will lose interest then. You can loot the boxes then and make your way to the left side around the house. Be careful. She could spot you when you shoot the first barrier. If that happens run back in the truck. When she doesn't follow you anymore you can go on. You can also pass by the backdoor first cause there is a lot of loot waiting for you.

Persnikity i wanna thank for your guidance.Iam big fan of the series but i never made 100% completetion.I gave up AKUMU but back then in 2014 i was 42 and away from games since 1999(tomb raider 2 last game).Now six months after finishing survival in e .w.2,i deciide to go for the platinum .Yesterday i managed to save my game before facing Stefano.My game and my nerves crashed twice just like yours.Finally i can continue.I follow you step by step,except some stealth kills.I couldn't pass the room in the 2nd painting your way ,so i stealth killed them one by one .PS : an advice if someone reads it.E.W.2 has an excellent stealth mechanism.The enemies aren't stupid so you can follow them around ,one chance if you start the aproach BUT PRESS CONTINUENTLY X ,Seb pulls out the knife,then you know ,don't wait the symbol to appear.This way you press X just the right moment and make fantastic sneak kills even through corners and more.Its something i mastered.Sorry if i wrote too much but it was first time in your channel.AGONY is waiting because of classic mode .Bye

After the fight with Obscura, when you get out of the City Hall building, you should take a look around the building: al resources and crates are vanished, but all the resources from the crates you exploded during the escape to enter the building will be there.
In chapter 7 you don't have to kill any enemy in the city at all. Maybe only the one on the way to the theater. I recommend to go around the house on the left side after you got you new main objective. Go to the gas station and stay close to the wall. When you walk into the right direction around the corner to the entrance of the house. There is a key on the left side of that door. You can get it without triggering this thing which is coming from the sky. Then go back and walk around this house, walk by the diner, over the street and run straight into the house with your first main objective. After getting this you can just run the street down to the second one. After you finished this you can run back all the way you came. You will only see the guardian. Try to sneak by and run. For ps4 players I recommend to save now before going to the theater. You will have to spend some extra minutes each time you die against Stefano, but just in case the game crashes. It's better to play 5 minutes again, than 2 hours.
I would agree that, I think you do heave a pretty entertaining voice. How I was able to listen through the whole play through. Not a lot of ppl have that ability.

Hey man thanks for the video but id like to add some things for new people that are gonna watch this. So basically before you go into city hall the fight with the big lady begins what you wanna do is throw a smoke bolt at her feet and just go for the side door so you wont have to use anything else. Second thing is when you go out of the city hall sometimes the items in the alley you use are still there from the boxes you exploded right now i scrapped from there around 15 powder. 3rd thing i wanna point out is when you go back to the marrow before going into the small tunnel where you say there is a room with an enemy id say go for it the enemy sits in a corner next to the door so its actually 1 shot with the shotgun and there you get a pouch for extra pistol ammo. Now when you go in tunnel where you suppose to go if you go the wrong way above you there is a statue free key. I am at 45 mins now so i dont know if i am gonna find more ! cheers! thanks for the video again i am using it for my run after so many failed attempts xD

Soooo after destroying both pictures and opening the entrance to the theater I decided to run back to the safe house to save my game. Didn't want to risk losing a whole afternoon worth of gameplay to a crash or dying during Stefano's first phase. I get safely to the safe house, when suddenly I think: "My game hasn't crashed yet, I guess I'm in the clear to get some of the shooting gallery done, right... RIGHT?!". You probably know by now where this is going...

Haha, Gingerbread Man, sweet trick with the ladder. I love things like that which turn a nerve-wracker into a laugher... it offers quite a boost to morale. Although I'll admit I enjoyed watching you ex those enemies in your earlier walkthrough (and it was the first time I saw you take on a Witch if I'm not mistaken).
That system crash sounds like a nightmare. The thought of going through it myself almost brought me to tears. I probably would have searched around the room in confusion for a few minutes trying to discover the culprit, then when none could be found I would have quietly retreated to a secluded place so that I could destroy something with my bare hands by bending, tearing or throwing. Heh, my fury needs catharsis. I'm rarely pushed to the brink, but that sounds like a good candidate.
To answer your question, I think you'd make a fine baseball commentator or anything really on radio/TV. Your tone is not robotic or silly, which is crucial to my mind. Your spur of the moment insights and extrapolations from the subject are always relevant, interesting and entertaining. You're not bashful about discussing exactly what's happening and why it's happening (or why it could have happened differently) at any given moment. You freely and intelligently opine on the value of certain decisions and events. What more can a listener ask for?

*Sigh* All right, I've made it to the second save. Again I did a few things differently here and there, played more on the safe side... Also saved before stepping into the theater 'cause if I had to do this shit a third time due to a crash I'd end up strangling my pets in frustration. I'm annoyed in anticipation thinking that I'll have to do the Arkham Asylum part every time I die to Stefano, but at least I'm making progress. Thank you again for your guides, your strategies are great and the narration is very pleasant to listen to.

When I got to the back of city hall (inside the door and closed) I somehow took damage. Game very glitchy. I agree, your voice is made for radio broadcasting, news or sports. ✌️

I decided to save right before Chapter 8 gets started, after burning down the paintings. I am so glad that I did, because it crashed when I got to the theater. Holy shit.

Sooooo, My game crashed before the Stefano fight and I wasn't mad but it make me laughed at the moment when you said; ":good luck, hopefully your game don't crash"; couple seconds later, my game crashed

Just finished the first part up until you return to O'neal and so far everything is pretty smooth and flawless, although the pressure is a lot higher than it was on nightmare obviously. I can't really agree with you on the stealth topic though, I think it's actually pretty good in this game compared to the first one. I got quite a lot of resources and every key in chapter 3 without really firing a single bullet unless I had to. There was one exception at the junkyard where I set the two lost at the door switch on fire and where I blew up the two at the entrance to the junkyard, but otherwise there's no need for combat if you're patient. What I really dread is the fire walk, my first playthrough was on nightmare and I hated every second of it, especially now since you basically have to "waste" a save on it, one for before and one for after- I'd prefer to have one backup save for before the Myra battle, but I guess I have to do it first try now since I'll probably play it safe.
About the crash issue (I'm on PS4 btw): I think so far it crashed 3 or 4 times for me and I think at least three times I was getting into or out of the marrow, so it may be best to avoid using it if you don't have to go there.
Edit: And it crashed two more times, obviously during my classic mode attempt during chapter 6 with the white bastard and then again close to the theatre in chapter 7 ... I wanna punch some developers in the face for this half-assed attempt of throwing some more challenge into the game and for all the stupid crashes -_-
not sure if my info are so old but its one hit with shock bolt when obscura jump to the sealing is enough to resume the timer and btw ur voice is fine its amazing too tbh . keep it on
The first time I did that ladder trick (Having seen it on another video) I was sure I'd be toast, but now, of course, it's a life saver ;)
hey.i just realized that if you go back to the lockdown area (the one with the ladder trick) after draining the water in the next area. all enemies will be gone and you are free to pick the items in the rooms with no risk (around. 15 handgun bullets and some gunpowder)
So they despawn?

The two enemies under the townhall are easy to kill too. Just quickly get in cover behind the two boxes. The first enemy will come very close to you, but keep calm and he won't see you. As soon as he turns around follow and sneakkill him. For the second enemy wait until she walks to the exit then sneakkill her

yeah your voice is great, you also more calm which creates your voice and using proper language as oppose to many other commentary i hear. and thanks for the walkthrough, it is helping alot. even though im not doing classic run, this walkthrough giving me a lots of tips and tricks.

also there is one thing i notice with the final boss fight. when i watched you kill it during final phase, you had to hit her so many time until it died. for me all it took was 1 explosive bolt on the forehead this i did in classic. later i did that again in survival mode, 1 explosive bolt wasn't enough, took me 3 bolt to finish. i don't know how the game decide this. maybe when i was fighting her in her previous phases, i missed some shot and hit her body instead of weak point. maybe those shot took some of her health away. either way im glade i finished the classic mode. that final boss i had to kill her 20-30 times cause of her instant grab attack. rest of the fight was flawless but that instant grab attack would always kill me because i could not spot where my character is shooting because of the white background and the gun aiming mark was also white which blended in. it felt so unfair.
i wanna point out a glitch, if u want to activate the door (13:28), u can just do INVESTIGATE on the switch board and the acid-throwing creature would do nothing until u r out of that electrical panel, but as soon as u leave the electrical panel, she may attack u there, so u need to run as quickly as u can to avoid it ...
Very nice guide nik. I died at chapter 3 because some other guide went me to dangerous location was pissed to restart over because zombie was under car killed me. I panicked at chapter 3 warehouse because zombie spotted me and all of them chased me so i lost all ammo trying to survive. I saved 1 time at chapter 5 before guardian fight, my ammo is ok and honestly am feeling good. I will be using your guide further on

Thanks man kept debating saving right before 7 as there's a lot to do and time to lose if I made any mistakes there (kept dying to marrows knife lady and dumb saw boss before I found this) but your guide got more through it (even slid in getting the full-barrel shotgun and Anima quest towards revolver! Whew) and got to save right before Stephano part 2!

Honestly Anima (at least the first 2 parts) is incredibly easy even my Classic, she still has the same pattern. Obviously the chance of a one hit kill is stressful (having to go back it chapter 4 woulda suckeddd) but beyond that will be worth it for the extra revolver damage, just wish it was attainable before the cabin fight hah.
Also fun fact in getting the key of the shotgun shed, maybe it was just a glitch but I didn't inspect the resonance where the key is and the saw lady never spawned as I walked back. Made doing that a little less stressful.
I don't know if anyone else discover this but if an enemy is aware of your presence your hud will show. That as helped me out a lot playing in classic mode.

I noticed that too. Your hud will always show if an enemy is looking for you, and even if the enemy is trying to ambush you, waiting for you to pick an item or walk some specific place before jumping on you.
Man I know what you mean about playing through and then crashing... I saved a bit before the warehouse as I went for some extra goodies. Was doing the gun range and it crashed... Will try get back on it tomorrow haha

After stealth killing nearly every enemy in Chap 3 and collecting the handgun pouches, shotgun pouch, 270 gunpowder 15 fuses, 7 keys sniper rifle it took 4 hours and lots of running away, I get to the safe house after the Chap 4 lockdown, thinking Im safe decide to go to the shooting range and CTD. OUCH. Did it all again, saved this time. So it is possible for those with the patience, time and shamelessness to run. I didn't try to take on the second wave once you finish the warehouse battle The enemies have bad sight and will only chase so far before giving up.
YES! Made it and saved with 11 keys gathered. Ill continue tomorrow and try the shooting gallery hopefully doesn't crash my game.

Yep _ he just killed me. I am enraged. For some reason I just can't see the reticle with all the white, and I have to shoot blind. It's freaking impossible. Absolutely the hardest part of the game for me. And I have to play all of chapters 4,5, and 6 just to get a crack at it.
Leon Kennedy I started a separate playthrough on Nightmare to practice aiming at the white goo head. I just can't believe such a simple aim and shoot QuickTime event downed me and I was feeling so confident.
I'm going to pace myself a bit though. It would be torture to try and do as much as one can in a few sessions.

Yeah you know i came till chapter 7 to the first picture , where you have to get the key out of the zombiehand, and while you wanna go back, the zombies spawning. The right strategy in classic mode is "no risks" . But as stupid as i am, while that witch was following me, i thought "hey know what you wanna fight lets fight!" ... yeah turned out that she killed the fuck outta me lol. This thing is so fucking quick ans strong At the same time, every time i hear or see her i Start sweating, cause when i die i have to start all over again. So fucking difficult man.
I feel for you man, and I hope you get through it, but let me just say your comment made me laugh really hard. When I read "she killed the fuck outta me" I lost it hahaha. I get so many comments, but I can't remember one making me laugh as much as yours did!

I had to save at the beginning at ch7. I had to play through this 8 times due to crashes and glitches in ch7 on ps4. Very annoyed at the developers for not patching this.

PersNikity just kind of a pain, I took a break from it. I got through the painting section, stefano but died with the dumb Hysteric cause Sebastian decided that sticking to the wall was better than running. Ill probably picknit back up tonight.

for the saw lady boss fight in front of city hall, i shot 2 shock bolts. after the obscura fight i came back and saw she never triggererd them and the game didnt despawn them. so you actually can come back and pick them up again.
I usually kill the pale ladies if they're not with other zombies because her memory is incredibly short and you can lose her in a second. The first time I was in that hall, I knifed her then just ran around the pillar that is right beside her and she forgot me that fast. ;) I was a little stunned.
Ok i finally cooled off, i tried again to get to second save on classic and found that in city hall after running away from boss. In the room you enter u dont have to spend any ammo theres a invisible wall enemies can get to you, they will see u but back off n reset. Just stay near stairs!
I shot an electric bolt before hitting the gate and Obscura was right on my ass. I got through the gate, it shut, and she stabbed me through the gate! I lost 3/4 of my life but I didn't die thank God

Hey man. First of all, this is an excellent guide and I want to say thanks for taking the time out to make this. It’s incredibly useful! But I want to ask your advice on something.
So I’m very close to my platinum, and one of the few trophies I have left is to find all the weapons, (only have beaten the game on survival). So in chapter 7, I have to do all the side quests in order to get the silenced pistol. Well I tried saving Sykes last night and yeah, didn’t go so great. Died and went back to my chapter 4 save. Is it wise to keep trying or should start a new game on nightmare and get the get the weapon trophy that way? (trying to avoid that, if possible). I could make a save at the start of chapter 7, but I don’t want to waste saves. Thanks again!
Wait, let me make sure I understand. Are you trying to get these other trophies during your classic playthrough? I would say right off the bat scrap that idea if you are. Not that its not do-able. But I think its just way easier to focus on classic mode without worrying about anything else. I know the idea of starting a new game afterwards sucks, but you'll have the brass knuckles!
One other idea, not sure if it'll work. When next you save your game, save on a new file that way once you beat Classic mode you can go back to the save you're on right now. Then, not sure if this will work, you can maybe lower the difficulty and play from there with ease? But wait until you beat classic mode to do it. Does that make sense!

Ugh! I made it all the way to the end of the last painting and was outside the door that leads to the bar and as soon as the Guardian ran towards the bus that's when I made my move and started running towards the other end of the street. So naturally, I thought that I was safe when suddenly, I heard giggling behind me and sure enough there she was chasing me for some unknown reason! Let's just say that after I tried to dodge her a second time she got me as I was climbing over a fence. Grrrr. Now i have to redo the Obscure boss fight again. *cries*

I made my first save on chapter 5
OMG!!!! 1st time I died on the chapter 5 guardian encounter, no saves - my fault. 2nd time I glitched out of the map after in the 4th chapter. Both times I spent HOURS clearing chapter 3 so I could stock up supplies including all keys and bags.
A glitch?? That's so unfair, this game sucks for that. And all the crashes people have been talking about.
I have a qeustion. After you exit city hall, are all the crates and traps during the guardian fight still there or does everything dissapear?
They disappear :( I actually tried, but to no avail. That's the one downside of the running strat against the guardian

It's impossible to get past Post Plus, it crashes every single attempt. What's strange is that it only happens on Classic Mode when you have limited saves and still to this day hasn't been fixed?
I got to the Jizz Monster and couldn't shoot it in time, The Aiming sensitivity is heightened in the moment and is way too loose for me so I can't get the cursor where I need it to be in time. It completely through me off going from tight aiming sensitivity to loose aiming sensitivity.
I can't past chapter 7 classic mode when I'm about to go to theater it always crash. Bethesda really need to fix it the game is almost unplayable!!!

Infamous Cooper so much yes!!!! The game crashed 4-5 times on my nightmare playthrough and i was about to start classical but then thought about the crashes and how i would destroy everything if this happens after hours of flawless gameplay maybe ... so i wait now until a patch comes out!
I’m struck with the wailing lost at the beginning of Chapter 4. What do I do? I’m unable to open the door 😢
Like I went and got the amount for gun and I shoot the thing and some how she could get pass and tried to kill me when I was trying to open the door
The black painting with the white witch everytime i go near the boxes where she is located she growls and comes looking for me i can't get anywhere near that room so i can't try the shock bolt where the gate is at all I've got a small cache of ammo too, any help please.

This guide really useful, was playing chp7 classic and was about to enter room to destroy 2nd painting then it happen! Game crash!=/ was going to save my second save! This so sucks im done with classic mode!
Oh no! That sucks! For me, when my game crashed in ch. 8 I almost quit. I almost through the disk out the window. But I just put it down for a day and the next morning I was good to keep going. I would encourage you to just take a slight break and then try again!

Holy crap! So I got caught in the second part of chapter 7. So I ran to the gate and use a smoke bolt. Barely made it out alive

I got caught by the Guardian soon after burning the second painting. She even hit me once and drained most of my health. My last save was on Chapter 3 lol, and I barely made it to the safehouse. Stressful as hell.
PersNikity should i make my second save right after i start chapter 7 to be safe that it doesnt crash?
A year later but I'm here watching you. So far your guide has been great, But this game is still inconsistent.

Now crashed on the second painting. Beyond pissed off. Took me 2 hours of carefully collecting everything too. Edit - third attempt, got to the eye in the sky bit, got caught, died. I'm done.
Dude I'm really sorry to hear about the game crashing stuff. That's really heartbreaking, no excuse on the developer's end for that crap. But if I can offer one piece of advice; put the game down for a day or so. There were a few times for me where I swore I was going to quit. I stopped playing for a day, cleared my head, cam back fresh and often times got past the part I was having trouble with right away. I hope that helps!
Yeh I started again last night and got upto Ch6 before I made by first save. Will cost me any frustration if it does crash from now on or if I accidently miss the Watcher. Next save will be just before Ch8 boss fight.
Everything was going perfectly fine, until chapter 7 I didn't shoot the lighting arrow to stall the Obscura and she killed me.
Pretty frustrating.
