He was a great writer with a real talent for character and landscape. This tale of one of the last buffalo hunts will fascinate you and make you think. Loved it.
I’ve given L’amour a few shots but never could get into it. But it may be his almost clinical prose of his shorter novels. The only one I’ve enjoyed is the walking drum which was later on in his career as well. I got this one sitting somewhere. Might need to check it out!
