    Nowadays, updating your cars interior or exterior lighting couldn't be easier with the offerings found on Amazon. Just search your type of light and a plethora of LED options will pop up. Specifically, this brand called Yorkim caught my eye and I chose to purchase and install them. So far, I'm extremely happy with the outcome. The lights are bright and white. Definitely not that weird shade of blue either. Check them out on Amazon with the link above.

    Great pointers in this vid. I switched to LEDs in all my 194/T10 blubs 3 years ago and will echo your remarks regarding cheap LEDs. They will fail. It's worth the money to get good quality LED bulbs. I also liked your tips on the map light. I didn't figure those out last go around. I'll have to give them another look and see where I put my white LEDs. I put blue in all the other positions. Maps I want white, though.

  • @jasonhall5904
    @jasonhall5904 Před 4 lety +1

    Alrighty you did a pretty good job. A small thing bud, some of the LED lights that are in enclosed spaces end up overheating and the solder or diodes fail. With the door pods, instead of drilling them out, I would have used a knife to cut the reflectors off use 2 wire trailer plugs and put them online of the wires. Cut the sockets out of the door wiring and steel stick them into the light housings. Line the reflectors with rtv and add a hinge at front and a loop hasp on back. I would just use security wire for the loop hasp. As for the dome lights being spotty, it's due to the flat surfaces of the mirror in the housing. I would cut the bases and find $1 flashlights for smooth bowls, some jb weld and you're sitting pretty

    • @1RoadGarage
      @1RoadGarage  Před 6 lety +1

      +Carlos Mira this might sound dumb but check to make sure your override button isn't pressed (by the headlights switch). If that's okay, I would check if you have maybe a short somewhere. I would particularly check the dome light bulbs to see if maybe the body of it is shorting out against the install clip if that makes any sense.

      It replaces a 194 bulb, but it doesn't mean that it will fit, because there are different size 194's. The glass part of the bulb isn't always small, sometimes it's as big as another whole lightbulb. The base that plugs in, like a 110v socket, is universal, so that's what they replace. :)
